Job: Strange Vulcans! (Part 1) (IzzyxD and Leapflight)

Victoria watched lazily the mission board, yawning. She was so close to becoming a C class. Just one more job needed. But most of them said or only Rune Knights or were no more valid. If they were not valid anymore or for Rune Knights, what were they doing in her guild. Until, that is, a job catched her eye. It was a job about stopping Vulcans from stealing food in a nearby village. That job caught Victoria's interest. She carefully got on tiptoes, trying not to hit anyone with her scythe hanging from her back in the process, and reached to take the job, since it was a bit out of reach for her. She caught it and read it more carefully, paying attention to all details. She whinnied as she saw it was in the Spooky Forest. Since her last experience in the Spooky Forest, which was not actually a job, but an investigation made by her and Iziel when she recieved a mysterious box full of bloodcovered recorders and diaries, she tried to stay as far away from that place as possible. Man, she still felt as if she was constantly stalked, and had some particulary nasty nightmares that were capable of keeping her up during nights. But hey, the reward was awesome for a C Rank Job. 2,000 Jewels is a reward she could not let go. But although, she didn't want to go to the forest alone. That thing that was there before could still be around. So she looked around the guild for possible partners and smiled as she saw Ebony Matsuna, her Guildmaster, eating cookies again. Hmm... She could be a good partner. She walked to the young guildmaster and sat in front of her, putting the job in front of Master Ebony.
'' Hey, Master Ebony, you in for a job?''

Victorai ate her cake with Ebony next to her. She was wearing her cloak now, her hoodie pulled down. She was still unsure about wearing a cloak, but it felt comfortable. Her white hair fell on her shoulder, creating a little messy cascade of white locks of hair. Her scythe stood next to her, off of her shoulder now, since soon they'd venture in the Spooky Forest and fight one of those mad-ass creatures called Vulcans. Victoria had comen across Vulcans twice in her life: Once, when she was fifteen, and the last time, before a year. The first time she was training with her mentor up the mountains, when a group of thos hideous creatures attacked them. Her mentor was quick and deadly, though, and killed them all. And the second time, she was walking towards Magnolia, when she was attacked by a wild band of five. Victoria already knew how to threat with them, so she simply eliminated them and continued her path towards Magnolia. She new how inteligent those creatures where and the level their force and strength reached, so she wasn't exactly charging against the unknown. She finished her cake and looked towards Ebony, who had a euphoric expression on her face. Cake Effect, no doubt.
''I'll be waiting for you at the entrance, Lady Ebony.'' She said with a smile and took her scythe, walking towards the entrance of the Spooky Forest.

Ebony nodded as she was fixated on getting more cake out of the magical new thing they called a 'vending machine'. Hey little face lit up as another four cakes flew out of the machine and into her hands. Only to realise she left Victoria alone to go to the gate. Whoops!!!

She quickly ran to where the gate was, searching for her friend as she saw her standing there. "Victoriiiaaa! Sorry I just left you. I was so fixated on those cakes... They did taste amazing though. Here have one!"

She reached in her pocket as she gave one, a small chocolate one wrapped in a white package and pink bow. She looked around her, the gates to the Spooky forest were rusted and old, making Ebony sigh. Does no one know how to clean?

She looked towards the forest, a place that felt familiar. She had been here quite a few times, knowing of the beasts that lay within. She had fought a few before, and they didn't seem overly strong. In fact, if one word had to describe them, dumb would pop into Ebony's mind. She looked around, opening the gate as she looked at Victoria. She did not know about Victoria's past, and thought it was better not to ask, seeing this was just simply a job.

"Well then, it seems all my cake is gone... shall we go?"
