Outside of battle, Hitomi is a quiet and reserved girl. Rather than going out with others or enjoying the world outside the walls of the guild, she would much rather be reading, writing, or drawing. She’s a very creative girl. She hates the company of others, to be honest. She would much rather be left alone with her thoughts. She would be more than willing to share her works with other, though… so long as it was with only one person at a time and they were not being too obnoxious. She has been known to hold grudges and never let them go -- unfortunately for those she holds them against, she will never tell them what they did. She is incredibly easy to set off. Minor infractions against her person will result in a grudge. She does poorly in any team-based activity. She is the type of mage who almost always will refuse to leave the guild, unless it is of the utmost importance.

Most important to her is the matter of sleep and the realm of dreams. She is far from the superstitious type, but she believes that these things have an immeasurable value and produce/predict great outcomes in the waking world. If one were to ever have a conversation with hitomi, it would be wisest to bring up this subject. She will tear it down to its bare essentials and provide an interpretation, though she is not beyond charging for such a service. Some may call it a scam, but for Hitomi, it is one of the few things that allows her to connect with other people. Imaginary or not, some do find a powerful coincidence between Hitomi’s dream reading and events in their lives -- both past and future. It is not just the sleep of the guild that she is concerned with, though. Hitomi is deeply concerned with the sleep of all that she meets. Some might find this part of her personality creepy, but Hitomi is trying her best to learn how to establish a true connection. In all honesty, it is more annoying than anything. This tends to drive a nail between her and other members of her guild, further rooting the poor girl in her books, drawings, and naps.

In battle, she is just as silent as she is out of it. She is observant and calculating. She takes charge of her minions and plays out the combat as she would do a game. She sees herself, her opponents, and even her own teammates as pieces in her game. She would do anything to win these personal games of hers. She is an incredibly sore loser, as she takes the time to catalog each defeat in one of her books, as soon as possible. She reads these books in practise of training, so that she can better analyze what she has been up against. After all, her battles are all mental. The only time she would have to lift a finger is if someone broke past her defense.
Likes:

• Sleep: This is by far her most favorite thing in the world. Hitomi would much rather be asleep than awake. If she could just record her dreams as she slept, she would probably drift off into a coma.
  
• Lucid Dreaming: As it comes with her magic, Hitomi is quite proficient at the art of lucid dreaming. She can alter her dreams just as easily as one can mold clay.
  
• Tea: It is the perfect accompaniment for any time of the day. Earl Gray for breakfast, Green for Lunch, and a nice glass of camomile before bed -- she practically lives off the stuff. She even has a special blend she always drinks before missions. Her mission blend is thick enogh to plaster a wall with, but it wakes her up more than anything!
  
• Quiet: The only thing that can beat a good cup of tea. Quiet is for thinking, resting, and reading. It is required for true art to take form.
  
• Books: Dreams in the waking world. This is the greatest form of art in the world to Hitomi. She sees a bad book as a poor imagination. After she finishes any bad book, she makes sure to put it away in the farthest reaches of the guild library, where no one will have to read it again.
  
• Paper: The great medium. Paper can be used for just about anything. Even without ink, it can still make beautiful art, which hitomi is awful at, but she still tries and that is all that matters.
  

Dislikes:

• People: The source of dreams and headaches. Hitoim finds displeasure in the company of others, unless she has been around them long enough to decide that they will not give her a headache aftter prolonged exposure.
  
• Bad Books: Worse than murder. A bad book is a waste of time and a waste of a dream. Hitomi refuses to destroy them, though. She merely… hides them.
  
• Daylight: The enemy of sleep. Hitomi hates the sun and everything it brings with it. She burns very easily and will have a sunburn more often than not after returning from a lengthy mission.
  

Motivations:  

• Knowledge: Hitomi enjoys reading and expanding her horizon. She’ll gladly curl up with a good book at any time.
  
• Sleep: Hitomi would rather be asleep than awake. In the dream world, nothing can harm her, so she plans to live as long as possible so that she may sleep as many times as she can.
  
• Touch of the Reaper: Hitomi seeks to accomplish as much as she can before she dies.
  

Fears:  

• Lineage: Hitomi’s ancestor, the man who traded places with death, corrupted her family’s blood. She was alone for all of her life, along with her father. Her mother died, due to Hitomi being unable to control her lineage. The same power destroyed her father after he suffered a massive heart attack -- Death was waiting for him as he waits for her.
  
• Skeletons: Seeing her father burnt to a crisp by his own power had the effect of traumatizing Hitomi. Bones are not anywhere near her comfort zone.
  
• Dementia: Hitomi’s power comes at a price and requires a high level of control. She fears losing control and herself in the process.
