Name: Ilvren
Rank: Legendary
Type: Sword
Description:
Ilvren can be classified as a sword, but it doesn't exactly resemble a sword. Instead Ilvren is made up of a red sphere and 4 separate blades that are grey colored. The sphere is has a diameter of 1 foot and all of the blades are 3 feet in length. The blades are locked to be at the side of the sphere at all times. Only the outer edges of the blades are sharp. Ilvren's blades are made of god metal, the same type of metal that Indar uses. Though, no one knows what exactly the sphere is made of. It feels like a lacrima, filled with magical energy, but not quite. It has this out of this world kinda feel to it. The blades are in small holsters, that are the one's that actually have the gems inside of them. The blades in the resting state are locked onto the sphere, touching it, but when in combat mode, the blades float next to the sphere.
Ilvren is used differently that most weapons. The only part of the weapon that touches the user, is a small metallic ring, around the user's right arm. The ring has a small red gem in it, that controls the sphere and the four blades. This makes the weapon literally hands free, as it follows the movement of the user's arm. If Ilvren is not in use, it rests on the back of the user, still having no contact with the user though. It uses the power of the gem, to float exactly behind the user and when needed in combat, the user must call out for it, by saying: '' Ilvren. '' Though, when the weapon is put into it's resting form, the user only needs to think. Ilvren and it's user share a small telepathic bond, no words are said between them, though Ilvren can send very faint signals to it's owner. These signal only range from fast moving objects travelling towards the user or a very powerful magical presence. Ilvren also possesses a horrible side effect. Ilvren is tied to the users mind and soul. This makes it so, that Ilvren can not be separated from the user. If it is separated, the user will start dying. This creates the need to keep Ilvren by the user's side, at all costs.
Indar revived Ilvren from the god that thought him his magic. It was handed to him suddenly and not without Indar's consent, his soul was tied with Ilvren's. He was given only one way to free his soul from Ilvren and that was to do the bidding of the Metallic God, which basically meant slaughtering people. Even if Indar's soul is tied, he can still make efficient use out of Ilvren. He has actually grown quite fond of the weapon. It is a powerful tool, made specifically for killing.
