NOTES ! TAGS. WORDS. LYRICS. NOTES. Freezer Burn All | "If you have time to think of a beautiful end, then live beautifully until the end." - Reiki It was a brisk winter's eve, the wind whistling through the streets as the moon shined high above Karakuri City. There Reiki sat atop the Eclipse Soul guild hall, his right knee raised with his left sticking straight out, resting his arm across his knee. He sat thinking over everything that had happened since the assault on Era. Was that really a year ago already? This was somewhat hard for Reiki to believe. With so much having happened over the past year, Reiki had lost track of the time. Era’s destruction seemed like it was only yesterday. The thing currently plaguing his mind was over one of the newer guild members, the Poison Dragon Slayer known as Sephiria. During the course of the past year, Reiki had taken her under his wing to help her learn the true power of her Dragon Slaying abilities. Her training was going extremely well until roughly a month ago. Something had caused her to become extremely paranoid over everyone and everything. This bothered Reiki because of how close he had grown to Sephiria whilst helping her with her training. Sephiria was essentially a daughter to him despite their close age. What was it that was bothering her? This was the question currently ringing in Reiki’s head. He had no real evidence to go off of, but Reiki suspected it may have something to do with her family. Typically, Dragon Slayers, Reiki included, were orphans in some shape in form before they were taken in by their dragons. In Reiki’s case, he never even got a chance to even memorize his parents faces before he was orphaned due to unfortunate events that led to them not being able to support and provide for him. He didn’t know how it was that Sephiria had came to be orphaned, but it was simply the only thing he could come up with that made sense. Even with his theory, Reiki still didn’t have the slightest clue what about her family would be bugging her. Simply missing them, regret for something she may have said before running away from them; any number of things. Whatever the case may be, Reiki had concocted a plan that might just help the little Poison Dragon out. However, in order for it to be enacted, there was a certain someone Reiki would have to talk to about it. He stood up, jumping over the railing and hoping his way down the enormous guild hall to the main entrance; pushing his way inside. He made his way up to the living quarters, trying to remember which room it was he was looking for. After a brief memory lapse, he found the door he was looking for, simply standing in front of it awkwardly. The light was on, so she was clearly home and awake; yet he just stood at the door looking down. I haven’t seen her for an entire year… whenever I was here at the guild she was off with work and vice versa… There sure is a lot I want to catch up on but that can come later… he thought to himself, slowly raising his hand up to the door. Three solid knocks rang upon the wooden door of her room. Alye, do you mind if I come in? I wanted to talk to you about something kinda important. |

◤ ◥ ✖ SKIES TURN INTO STORMS. Shatter every window 'til it's all blown away. 'Til there's nothing left standing, nothing left of yesterday. TAGS WORDS NOTES The three knocks upon the stark white door of Alye Reyold made the woman look up from what she was doing. The woman's long white hair shifted a bit as she looked back down to the paper and pen in her hand. She smiled gently. It would seem that she would have to write another time. She gathered the papers around her into a neat stack and then placed them altogether in a rather secure looking wall panel where she happened to store many important things. Alye put the pen down and ran her fingers through her hair before she crossed her immaculate white room towards her door. When she got the threshhold of her room, Alye stopped. From here, she could sense Reiki's magic power. A small smile lit up her face as she sensed him just outside. She hadn't seen him in quite a long time, and she honestly was wondering how he had been doing as of late. He was her teammate after all! Alye reached forward and put a hand on the ornate crystal that was her doorknob. With a quick flick of her wrist and a tug, she pulled the door open and smiled at Reiki. "Long time no see", she said with quite the warm smile on her face. |

NOTES ! TAGS. WORDS. LYRICS. NOTES. Freezer Burn All | "If you have time to think of a beautiful end, then live beautifully until the end." - Reiki As the door pulled back, Reiki was greeted by the always welcoming site of his white haired maiden’s smile. With a smile of his own, he quickly wrapped his arms around her buxom frame for a quick hug. Far too long, my Strum Kulaas, far too long. he said, running his fingers through her silk like hair; a playful twirl of his finger occurring as he reached the end of her locks. He pulled back from the hug, kicking his boots off outside the door before stepping inside the immaculate white den that Alye called her room. He looked around examining everything as he pushed his hair back over his shoulders, attempting to tame this wild new hair cut of his. This was the first time Reiki had ever seen Alye’s room. He wasn’t exactly surprised at how clean and elegant everything looked. He had to admit that this reflected her personality quite well. Reiki looked back to Alye, with a rather worrying smile on his face. So um… I really wanted to talk to you about something that’s been on my mind for roughly a month or so now. I hope you don’t mind. he said in a rather quiet tone, noticing the only two places to really sit were a single chair at a small table and her bed. It was to be expected, seeing as people generally wouldn’t expect to have guests over to their bedrooms. Reiki chose to sit on the edge of her bed, hoping to not seem imposing and hoping she would sit next to him for this discussion. There was a brief moment of silence between the two, as Reiki reached up and scratched around the scar beneath his right eye. The damn things always seemed to attract itchiness for no reason whatsoever. He was using this silence to go over in his mind exactly how he wanted to go about wording what he wanted to say. How to start this… Well, over the course of the past year, I sort of took one of the newer guild members under my wing to help train them when I returned from Iceberg. Her name is Sephiria, I’m not sure if you’ve met her yet. She’s the Poison Dragon Slayer. I know it’s kinda weird sounding, but over the past few months since I started to help her train and grow stronger she’s kind of become like a kiir, a child, a daughter to me. I’m not exactly sure how or why it just sort of happened that way. However, about a month ago, Sephiria started acting rather strange. She became extremely zofaas, meaning fearful or paranoid, of practically everyone and everything. I can’t even get close enough to ask her what exactly is making her act this way. I.. do have a theory on why though. It’s a longshot, but it’s kinda the only thing I could think of that would be bugging her. Reiki paused, gritting his teeth. This was going to be the most painful part for him to explain to Alye, but he knew he wanted to get his idea out to her. After taking a deep breath, he continued. I feel like it’s perhaps something to do with her family. I’m assuming the story is the same as mine and Aian’s; being orphaned as a child before winding up in the care of a dragon. She probably misses her family dearly and I can relate. I never knew either of my parents. As far back as I can remember I was in an orphanage. My parents placed me there because they were too poor to be able to raise a child. I hated the place by the time I was 7 and just ran away; winding up in the care of Gellidus after passing out in a snowstorm. During the past year I did do a bit of research to try and find my parents again. It...turns out that both my monah and bormah were in Era the day of the attack. Who knew… they had become quite wealthy a few years back; having quite a nice home in Magnolia. They were just… in the wrong place at the wrong time. I found my last name among the death records while I was helping out Magnolia account for their losses from Era.. It was quite painful to see those names on there. While I was browsing through adding names to the records I also saw…. Reyold, added to the records quite a few years back… he paused, his hands curling up into fists along his pale blue jeans as grit his teeth more. It was painful for Reiki to even think about that; let alone mention it to Alye. Reiki took another deep breath as he turned to look at Alye. He was trying hard to beat it down, but she could easily see the pain that was swimming in his eyes. A-anyway… I… I think that maybe I could… we could… sort of adopt Sephiria? I want to give the poor kid a family. I don’t mean just like how the guild is our family. I mean like an actual family… This feels incredibly strange for me to be asking considering the fact that you barely even know her but… I’d like to do this together with you Alye. We… both know how it is to… to not have parents. I feel as though it sort of fits in with the whole notion of Eclipse Soul. Zeno formed this guild to give people second chances… She doesn’t have her parents around, she very well may have lost them like we have, and that may be why she’s acting the way she is. I really want to help Sephiria out… so that she doesn’t have to go through what we have. |

◤ ◥ ✖ SKIES TURN INTO STORMS. Shatter every window 'til it's all blown away. 'Til there's nothing left standing, nothing left of yesterday. TAGS WORDS NOTES After their embrace, Alye smiled at Reiki. To be honest, she really did miss her teammates so seeing them every now and then really did make her feel good. The white-haired woman listened to his words as she walked over to her bed while he did as well. She usually didn't have visitors around so there really weren't many places to sit. However, she was more than comfortable enough to sit in her bed at the same time as Reiki. When he sat at the foot of her bed, she sat under her covers, placing them over her lap as she reached over and slipped on her oversized greyish white "Dragonslayas Ruuuule!" hoodie that he had covertly stolen from his room many nights ago. As her head popped through the head hole and she pulled her stark white hair out of it, she sat and listened to Reiki. The whole time he spoke, Alye sat motionless. Naturally, Alye is not a emotional person. And whenever she seems to let even an ounce of feeling out, it somehow corresponds with a weather event. Especially with her latest power boost. It wasn't that Alye didn't feel anything, it was more like she just couldn't project it. After mentioning her parents, her eyes shot down. Even after all this time, it still bothered her. She wondered if it ever wouldn't. However, when Reiki finally raised his proposition to her, the woman looked back up at him slightly shocked. Adopt? Her room was quaintly silent as the woman put her chin on her palm and looked down at her bedsheets and then to the moon overhead outside her window. Her bright blue eyes seemed to reflect it for a few moments before Alye turned back to Reiki. He wanted her to legally become responsible for someone that she did not even know? Especially a mage as well? The only intelligent and sensible answer that Alye could Reiki was... "Alright." |

NOTES ! TAGS. WORDS. LYRICS. NOTES. Freezer Burn All | "If you have time to think of a beautiful end, then live beautifully until the end." - Reiki After a brief moment of almost tranquil science, a smile came over Reiki’s face as he heard the word’s ”Alright.” escape from Alye’s lips. He honestly could not be any happied to hear that she was in agreement concerning the plan he had to help the young Dragon Slayer. Thank you, Alye. This.. really does mean a lot to me. he uttered quietly, gently pushing himself off of Alye’s bed. He made his way over to the lamp that was providing the light for whatever Alye was doing before he had come to chat with her. Upon clicking it off, Reiki made his way back over to Alye’s bed. He slipped his way quietly underneath the covers so that he could lay next to his love. Wrapping his arms around her, Reiki gazed lovingly into Alye’s gorgeous sky blue eyes; the warmest smile painted upon his face. I missed you dearly, my Strum Kulaas. he whispered, placing a kiss gently upon her cheek before he nestled his head down upon her shoulder. The two of them had never been together like this, but Reiki saw it simply as a way to make up for the years worth of hugs he had missed giving her. He simply wanted to rest now; holding the woman he cared for in his arms through the night. |

((Play Sephiria Theme: Peaceful Elegance))
A white space.......That's all that Sephiria could see at the moment. It was wide and empty, and she was floating along a non-existent wave. Sephiria was staring blankly at the ceiling of the place, with no emotions playing across her face. This place, Sephiria had been a lot in the past month. The young dragon slayer knew she was dreaming again. It was the same almost every time, this was where she started at before she met her. Sephiria didn't let any of her thoughts show on her face however, she just allowed herself to appear blank. Truth be told, the poison dragon slayer did not know if she could trust her sister's words anymore. Even though she made sense, it also backfired as Sephiria then doubted her sister's true intentions with her. But Sephiria knew better than to challenge her sister on anything, she was stronger than the Jyuubei. Much much stronger. And her sister seemed to care for her well-being, going as far as to yell at Sephiria for getting hurt on a mission. Sephiria allowed a corner of her lips to turn upwards for a brief second, before her face went back into its masked mode. She would not allow her emotions to get to her, each time they did......that awful thing appeared. She needed to be in control this time, she did not want to wake with a scream again. She didn't know if she could play it off once again.
Sephiria's thoughts were interrupted when she felt her head being laid across someone's lap. Looking up again, the dragon slayer stared at her sister's smile. Rose was happy that she had returned, and Sephiria felt herself smile with her sister. Rose ran her fingers through Sephiria's hair, humming a tune for the both of them. Rose was humming a song that she had taught Sephiria in their old home. Sephiria sighed in content as she continued to look at the ceiling, thinking about everything going on in her life.
"Sinon." Rose seemingly called out to no one. It took a second, but Sephiria's eyes shifted back to her sister.
"Yes Rose?" Sephiria answered, shifting her eyes back onto the ceiling as they were about to speak to each other.
"Why are you still in Eclipse Soul?" At her sister's question, the dragon slayer flinched. Sephiria did tell Rose she would leave Eclipse Soul to go and kill their parents, but she had never told her sister a specific date. She wanted to get stronger, no matter how much she began to distrust and grow paranoid of the people around her.
((Stop theme: Peaceful Elegance))
"I can't leave yet Rose. They still can help me grow stronger." Sephiria argued against leaving, she really felt like she had a home at Eclipse Soul. Rose's face turned into a frown as she looked forward into what appeared to be nothingness, but a shadowy figure started to appear slowly. Sephiria's eyes widened, the young dragon slayer seemed deathly afraid of whatever it was. But once again, her entire body locked up in fear.
"Sinon. You know she will continue to haunt you if you keep this up. Leave Eclipse Soul soon, and come to me. Leave those who are trying to manipulate you to do things for them. Especially that Reiki." Rose's face twisted into a sneer slightly, disgusted at the thought of Sephiria's current mentor. She hated the man, he was taking away her dear Sinon's love for her. Sephiria's love belonged to her and her alone, and no one would take it from her. Rose sighed as she felt Sephiria begin shaking, she wished to help the dragon slayer out in this difficult time but this was a problem she could not control. The shadowy figure started to appear and it took form. "Twisted. You sicken me and put fear into my sister." Rose said to the shadow, and as it appeared to the two a smirk grew on its face.
'Twisted' as Rose had called it, looked exactly like Sephiria. Except, it was more pale and had completely black eyes. It seemed to be rotting in some places, and the clothes it was wearing appeared to be deteriorating. Twisted laughed, a horrible sick laugh, before speaking to the two sister's in a slightly demonized version of Sephiria's own voice. "Aw. Come on sister, I thought you loved me!" Twisted chuckled as Rose continued to glare at her. Twisted shook her head and raised a hand, stopping Rose from speaking. "Well no matter. I have to speak to her now so, goodbye my dear sister." At a wave of Twisted's hand, Rose had vanished and Sephiria was now on the ground. The young dragon slayer sat up and tried to scoot away, but Twisted had grabbed her and threw her into a wall. Holding up poor Sephiria, Twisted laughed and started to yank on the dragon slayer's arm. Sephiria's screamed loudly, feeling her arm be ripped off completely. The pain was unbelievable, and the blood flowing from her shoulder would have mesmerized her if she wasn't feeling incredible pain. Twisted laughed as she took one of her arms and shoved it through Sephiria's gut, the young dragon slayer screaming increasing in volume as she felt all of the pain. Despite her knowing it was a dream, the pain felt all too real. Sephiria didn't even know she was crying until Twisted wiped the tears away, whispering in a soft voice to the dragon slayer. "Don't worry my sweet. I will take care of you and your body when you lose your mind. And it will happen soon." Sephiria felt something in her chest being pulled, and as she looked down in horror she saw her heart being pulled out. Sephiria screams increased, until she didn't know if she was screaming any longer....
Sephiria didn't know if the horror could increase, but then she was looking directly at something. It appeared to be some type of battlefield, and Sephiria was on her knees with two blades in her hands. She was shaking, and covered in blood. Sephiria looked over in one direction, and her eyes widened at what she saw. It was her own body, and it was standing over the bodies of her guild mates and friends. Kyll, Mishi, Alye, Noel, Lance, Rita, Marick and others. But what it was holding in her right hand, hanging limply, was the body of her father figure and mentor, Reki. At that revelation, Sephiria tried to get up and run towards her body. The problem was that she couldn't move at all. Sephiria freaked out and tried to plead with her other form to stop, when it turned its head towards her. It held an evil smirk, and motioned 'bye bye' with its free hand.
*Crack*
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"
((Play Theme: Emotions that Run Wild))
Sephiria shot up in bed as she screamed slightly. She clamped a hand over her mouth, and looked around the room, when she jumped at the sound of her mentor's pet barking. Tsuki was its name, if Sephiria remembered clearly. Sephiria shook her mind of the barking really quick, and placed her head in her hands as she tried to calm her racing heart. The dreams kept feeling more and more real, and the young poison dragon slayer didn't know how much more she could take. Calm down Sinon. It was just a dream. That won't happen. Sephiria tried to calm herself, using her real name always seemed to keep her calmer. Despite her paranoia, that last scene almost made her break down completely. Reiki was still her father figure, and she did not want to see harm come to him at all. Despite what Rose wanted, Sephiria knew she couldn't leave for too long without him coming for her. Sephiria knew he cared for her like a daughter, and she loved him like he was her own father. Sephiria felt something going down her cheeks, and when she moved her hands towards them she felt liquid.
Am I.......crying?
Sephiria hated this feeling of helplessness. This feeling like she couldn't do anything. She hated her mother and father for leaving her. She hated her brother for being able to live with them. She hated her sister for making her life into a living hell by making her doubt her friends. She hated her guild for making her vulnerable. She hated Sephiria, not herself but the one who died here. She hated Twisted, the evil demonic force that would not leave her alone. But most of all, she hated herself for being weak. For being useless. For not being able to do anything about it. All her life people left her, and there wasn't a damn thing she could do about it. She was weak, and everyone did not respect a weakling. Sephiria, no Sinon in her own thoughts. Sinon, hated being weak. She wanted to be strong enough to keep people around her. She wanted people to want to be around her for being strong. She just wanted someone to be able to tell her secrets to. She wanted someone.....
I....hate being alone.....
Sure Sinon had her two blades, but they weren't always around anymore. Sinon had began to believe that they were against her as well. Sinon also hated that, she did not want people to believe she didn't trust them but she couldn't help it. Her sister, her friend Noel, they both put doubt into her mind. It was getting to be too much. Sinon started to lightly sob, hoping no one heard her.
Why.......why can't I just live a happy life? Why.....must I go through this!
A white space.......That's all that Sephiria could see at the moment. It was wide and empty, and she was floating along a non-existent wave. It was getting to be too much. Sinon started to lightly sob, hoping no one heard her.
Why.......why can't I just live a happy life? Why.....must I go through this!
NOTES ! TAGS. WORDS. LYRICS. NOTES. Freezer Burn All | "If you have time to think of a beautiful end, then live beautifully until the end." - Reiki A rather loud scream, followed by a crashing noise and Tsuki’s incessant but concerned barking rang throughout the Eclipse Soul guild hall the next morning. Reiki’s eyes slowly creeped open as he rolled out of Alye’s bed, falling flat on his face. He pushed himself up off the ground, clutching his head as he groggily made his way to the door. Quickly slipping out the door, Reiki quickly but quietly shut it behind him as he turned left down the hall. He was sure Alye would have been woken up by the noises as well, but he wished to be polite none the less on the off chance she was still asleep. A few doors down the hall was his pet polar bear-dog, Tsuki, barking and concerningly pawing at Sephiria’s door. For once can you not be everyones alarm clock? Reiki quietly groaned, making his way down the hall before kneeling down to scratch Tsuki behind her big, floppy ears. She responded to this by joyfully licking his face and whining. Yeah yeah, I love you too ya loudmouth…. Wait a second…. How did you get out of my room…? he asked, looking down the hall past Tsuki. He could see his door busted off its hinges and firmly planted into the wall on the opposite side. Reiki simply, sighed, ruffling the top of Tsuki’s head. Well… guess that’s what the crashing was. What the heck was with the screaming though? Reiki’s ears twitched as he picked up on the sound of someone crying. He turned slightly, noting the sound was coming from behind Sephiria’s door. Reiki looked down at the floor for a brief moment to pause and think. I suppose that Sephiria would probably be the one responsible for the scream... She must be really hurting right now… I might as well go through with it now as opposed to waiting. She’ll probably just be worse the longer we wait on it. Reiki thought, pushing himself back into a standing position and knocking gently upon the door. Sephiria, it’s Reiki. Do you mind if I come in? There’s something we really need to talk about. |
"Sephiria, it’s Reiki. Do you mind if I come in? There’s something we really need to talk about."
Sephiria immediately ceased her sobbing as much as she could as she heard her mentor at the door. Crap! He must have heard my scream or something. Sephiria grit her teeth, as much as she didn't want to allow him in and just to tell him to leave her alone she couldn't exactly do that without coming off as rude. Sephiria instead turned towards the door and spoke in a low and kind of broken tone to her mentor and father figure.
"Give me a moment Reiki." Sephiria shifted in her bed and laid down so her back was facing away from the door. She didn't want to look at anyone let alone deal with anyone, so she was hoping whatever he had to say would be brief and not need much speaking on her part. Sighing quitely, she spoke up, this time her tone sounding more calm and confident than earlier before.
"Okay.......you can come in now."
The girl was turned in her bed, her back facing the door as he walked inside. He sighed gently, knowing all too well that she wasn’t feeling good at all. However, he knew that he wanted to go through with this idea. If his hunch was right, he deeply believed that what he and Alye had agreed upon was going to help Sephiria. Reiki slowly walked over to bed and sat down on the edge of it, facing the doorway in silence as he thought over what he wanted to say. Listen…. I know you don’t really wanna talk to much of anyone recently but… do you mind if we talk? It’s pretty riid…. er, I mean it’s pretty important that we discuss this. I wanna know your opinion on this idea... I’ll try and catch myself on the dovah tongue…. dragon tongue. Krosis… sorry. Dammit. he said in a quiet and gentle tone. He knew she was going through a lot; the last thing she needed was Reiki saying words she didn’t even understand. |
Sephiria heard the door open, and tightened the sheets around herself. She was really afraid that Reiki would try to get closer to her and make her open up by force, which would only further her going into her shell. She did not need anyone else trying to make her open up to them, as she really wanted to be alone. Sephiria tensed up when she felt Reiki sit on the edge of the bed. She was scared that he would force her to speak, he was stronger than her and had the elemental advantage. She was terrified of being beaten up by him, and it showed by the fear showing on her face.
Despite her mentor's soft voice, Sephiria still stayed tense and quiet. She didn't want him to feel unwanted, but yet she also didn't want him to force her barriers down. Sephiria stayed quiet for a bit before she answered in a softer tone than even before.
"What is it?"
NOTES ! TAGS. WORDS. “Freezer Burn All” LYRICS. “Do the impossible, see the invisible.” NOTES. | "If you have time to think of a beautiful end, then live beautifully until the end." - Reiki Well… where to start this… he began, twiddling his fingers together. This was going to be interesting one way or another. Lately, I think pretty much everyone has been noticing you’re a little… off. Its been rather… upsetting to me is the best way to put it. You’ve become a lot like a mo-...daughter to me kiddo. I really do care about you. Its just been upsetting to me ‘cause you haven’t talked to me and I feel like there’s nothing I can do to help you… he paused, looking up the ceiling as a faint smile came over his face. Until recently, that is. This is pretty assumptious of me, so please don’t take this the wrong way. Being a Dov-... a Dragon Slayer like you and knowing several others, it seems we all lost our original families in a way before being taken in by our respective do-... dragons. I… just have this feeling you’re maybe like… missing them a lot. So I came up with this idea of… well… I want to adopt you, Sephi. he said, turning to look at the young Slayer from over his shoulder. You’ve come to be that much like a daughter to me, Sephi. I want to try my best to provide a family for you.. more so than just being in the guild. I already talked to Alye about this idea last night… I’m sure you remember her from my stories. She’s my… well… she’s uh….. h-how to describe it, really? Reiki began stuttering, a slight blush coming over his cheeks. Well.. s-she agreed to be your monah… your mother. And well… I just wanted to know if you… wanted to be our daughter. he said, slowly turning his entire body. He stretched out his left hand to gently run it through the young Slayer’s crimson hair. All he could do now was hope this was the answer to Sephiria’s problems. |
A small amount of time passed before Reiki began speaking. He spoke about how people were worried about Sephiria, which made her cringe in regret. She didn't know that the others would worry that much about her, and so she was feeling bad that she had made them worry. She wanted to say something, but Reiki beat her to the punch, making her interested more as he continued to speak. "Until recently, that is. This is pretty assumptious of me, so please don’t take this the wrong way. Sephiria's eyes widened extremely, before they softened and they began to water slightly. She started shaking, but managed to hold in her sobs so that Reiki would barely notice anything wrong with her. " You’ve come to be that much like a daughter to me, Sephi. She’s my… well… she’s uh….. h-how to describe it, really?" Sephiria wanted to laugh at the end, but she was too busy holding in the tears of someone actually caring somewhat about her enough to even consider adoption. She didn't even know what she could say, but she knew she had to figure if this was a joke or not. Reiki continued, wanting to finish what he was saying to her about Alye and adopting the young slayer. "Well.. s-she agreed to be your monah… your mother. And well… I just wanted to know if you… wanted to be our daughter."
Sephiria stayed quiet for an abnormally long time, before her voice broke the silence again. It was shaky and slightly cracking, completely unlike her regular soft voice or even her cheerful voice. "D-d-do you mean that?" She asked, not wanting this to be a joke of some sort. "Y-you can't m-mean that. I d-don't know i-if y-you're telling the truth!" Sephiria tried to reason, not wanting to let herself be hurt again by people she thought she could trust. "Y-yeah! I n-need proof before I say yes!" Sephiria sat up and pointed towards Reiki, whether or not he was facing her. "I want you to get A-Alye and bring her here to admit she wants to be my mother!" The desperation was obvious in Sephiria's voice, but she didn't want this to be a trick to hurt her further. Had she been in the right of mind she would have noticed the tears flooding down her cheeks, but she was too busy pointing at Reiki, or at least what her blurred vision perceived as Reiki. "I do-don't know if I can believe you!"
TAGS WORDS NOTES As the two sat there, the faintest of breezes could be felt as it wafted between them both and seemed to gather strength around the side of the female Dragon Slayer's bed. A moment later, Alye Reyold sat there with her legs crossed and a gentle look in her sky blue eyes. She reached a soft finger over to Sephiria's cheek and wiped away one of her tears. "He's telling the truth, really." She ended with a bit of emphasis. Alye still had on the hoodie from before but one long solid strand of her stark white hair fell down by the girl below her. Alye looked over to Reiki and nodded at him before she looked back down at Sephiria. "Now, the only question is... do you want to be adopted?", Alye asked gently. |
Sephiria noticed Alye appear and wipe a tear off her cheek. Her eyes widening, the young dragon started fearfully backing up towards the wall near the head of her bed. She held her sheet closer towards her face as she shook her head no frantically. "NO! You're lying! You don't want to adopt me!" Sephiria continued to shake her head as tears started pouring down her face even harder. It was nearly impossible for her to believe that anyone wanted her as a daughter, seeing as her own parents abandoned her and anyone else who tried to get close to her died. The only exception being her sister.
"Stop lying to me!" Sephiria screamed at the two, throwing pillows at them in order to keep them away from her. To anyone who knew her, it would be a unusual and heart breaking sight. Sephiria just looked broken and scared, she didn't want anyone else to use her for their own reasons. She just wanted to live her life without anyone making her a tool again. She continued screaming at Alye and Reiki, not wanting them to hurt her but knowing that they could if they easily wanted to. "I don't want to be hurt anymore! Stop lying to me! I know what you want to do! STOP LYING TO ME." Her voice started to break as she got more hysterical. Sephiria curled further into herself and tried to rock herself steady. She wasn't the proud poison dragon slayer at this moment, no she was a broken girl that had enough of being destroyed when she thought everything was getting better.
"I don't want to be used again. Please don't use me again." Sephiria quietly said into her knees as she continued to cry. Sephiria just wanted to be at peace, and yet it seemed to her that no one wanted that.
"Please.......I just want to be free."
The young Slayer threw pillows at the two of them, trying to keep them away from her. It was quite clear that she didn’t want their words to be a lie. The challenge was to simply convince her their words were genuine. Reiki decided to take the initiative. He pushed himself further onto the bed, resting his back against the wall near the headrest. He slowly reached out his right arm and wrapped it around the broken red head, pulling her in close to him as he rubbed her shoulder. Sephi… we’re not lying. Nor are we using you. There's absolutely no reason for either of us to lie to you about this or use you at all. All we want is to help you… You’re hurt and that’s blatantly obvious… we just want to provide a ragnavir for you… a family. Neither Alye nor I want you to be hurt anymore. he said, pausing to kiss the top of her crimson head. We’re here for you, Sephi. We’re here and more than happy to have you as our mon.. our daughter, so long as you want that too. These words were all Reiki could honestly think to say in this moment. He just hoped that they would be effective and reach through her to her broken mind. |
◤ ◥ ✖ SKIES TURN INTO STORMS. Shatter every window 'til it's all blown away. 'Til there's nothing left standing, nothing left of yesterday. TAGS WORDS NOTES Alye stared on at Sephiria with her blue eyes. Not a hint of emotion could be seen in them. It wasn't that the woman didn't care, it's just that she had made a habit of not showing some kind of vulnerability like emotion. It was a sort of...defense mechanism. Alye was aware of the fact. And she was also aware of a similar behavior in Sephiria. She just did not trust people. Alye wanted to help the girl, but she could see that this would be much harder than she had thought. The white-haired woman heard Reiki's words, but only the weeping girl's last words stood out in her mind. Freedom... Alye's hand snaked up to the red pendant around her neck. Her fingers ran over the smooth gemstone as she closed her eyes. The woman could remember a time when she felt exactly like Sephiria. She wanted freedom, peace, happiness. However, it took her forever to realize that she would not be able to do it if she did not just let of the past first. It was the anchor tying her down to the memories that she hated most. Alye did not know much about Sephiria's past and part of her did not want to. It was her business. But she also wanted to understand the girl so she could help her. Alye looked back at Sephiria wrapped up in Reiki's arms. She seemed like she belonged there. Reiki seemed so fatherly and good at what he was doing. Alye looked back at the pendant in her hand. Who was she kidding? How was she some kind of mother figure? She could never comfort someone else when she could barely bring herself a sense of peace. The white-haired woman stood up, her long white hair falling gently from her hood. "I...apologize for upsetting you, Sephiria. It was a mistake to spring something on you like this. Besides, someone actually suitable should bear such a responsibility. I...am unfit for such a role." This whole time, Alye was staring at the floor. Her usually sharp eyes seemed somewhat dulled. The sweet sky blue tint was a deep sea color as Alye dropped her hands to her side, letting her pendant fall to it's place in her shirt. "Please feel better soon. F..For Reiki's sake...", she said with more emotion that she had planned. Sensing what might happen next, Alye disappeared in a burst of air just as fast as she had come in. Alye did not go back to her room. It felt too small. She couldn't breath in there right now. The Weather Witch went outside, her hair flapping around as the cold night air stung her bare skin. In the distance, the sound of thunder could be heard smashing in the sky. Alye took a deep breath as she wrapped her arms around herself. She had to calm down or else a untimely storm would roll through here. |
Sephiria barely heard Reiki's words, and didn't feel him comfort her or even Alye's leaving. She just sat in her own world for a while, crying her eyes out. She wanted so badly to let them in her world, and to get them both to help. Alye was a strong female role model, whenever she saw her in the guild Sephiria would stare in admiration and respect. It wasn't like her admiration for Reiki, which was grown over a lengthy period of time from training. It was one from the stories the third generation ice dragon slayer would tell Sephiria, ones that struck the poison slayer with awe each time. And Reiki, he was there more than anyone. Even Desdaro and Rose. He was there for her so much, she had felt ashamed of her nightmares and didn't tell him. Now she was paying for it, and if appearances were the case so were Alye and Reiki.
"You'll always be a burden to them! Weaklings like you shouldn't exist!"
Words her other half spoke to her came back to her often. She was just a burden wasn't she? No one ever needed her for anything. No one ever had true use for her. She would only get in the way of the people who wanted to adopt her. Just like she got in her team's way. Just like-
"Good work Sinon. You are a real natural." Praise from Desdaro flooded her mind suddenly. It was enough for her to stop crying for a brief moment.
"I did it papa! I did it didn't I?" Her younger, child voice came to her mind as the poison slayer remembered the scene. It was her learning her first spell from Desdaro, who only seemed proud at the moment.
"You did. You will be a force to be reckoned with soon enough." Sephiria's eyes once again filled with tears as she remembered the scene, but she was soon forced out as she remembered another face.
A familiar face she could never forget. They did after all teach her the meaning of the word "love." She owed so much to this person, more than almost anyone else.
++++++++++
"You're such a silly goose Sinon!" A young red head mentioned as the two walked along a beach path, holding hands and standing really close to each other. Sephiria remembered chuckling and rubbing the back of her head.
"You make me into a silly goose. I still don't understand why it was so funny to you." She asked, to which her fellow red head giggled at.
"You did it wrong! Thats why!" Sephiria felt a smile creep across her face before she turned around and stopped the smaller red head. She gave them a quick kiss before she pulled back, both of them smiling.
"I love you Sinon." The other red head spoke, as she caressed Sephiria's face with her free hand. Sephiria nuzzled the hand and smiled in return.
"I love you too."
++++++++++
"No one thinks you're useless or a burden. You never have been Sinon." The familiar voice echoed around the room. At first Sephiria thought she was just imagining things, but then the familiar giggle echoed through the room along with them.
"I'm not in your head silly goose! I'm right in front of you!" Sephiria looked up, and her breathing hitched as she saw something she never thought she would. Standing in front of her bed was an astral red headed figure, wielding a spear that was all too familiar to the poison slayer. Sephiria stuttered, and couldn't believe her eyes.
"Sephiria..." The young dragon slayer muttered, forgetting Reiki was right next to her for a moment. She was extremely happy yet confused, while the other red head smiled.
"Sinon. I told you we would meet again." The other red head said with a sing song tone to her voice.
"I'm not in your head silly goose! I'm right in front of you!" Sephiria looked up, and her breathing hitched as she saw something she never thought she would. Standing in front of her bed was an astral red headed figure, wielding a spear that was all too familiar to the poison slayer. Sephiria stuttered, and couldn't believe her eyes.
"Sephiria..." The young dragon slayer muttered, forgetting Reiki was right next to her for a moment. She was extremely happy yet confused, while the other red head smiled.
"Sinon. I told you we would meet again." The other red head said with a sing song tone to her voice.
NOTES ! TAGS. WORDS. “Freezer Burn All” LYRICS. “Do the impossible, see the invisible.” NOTES. | "If you have time to think of a beautiful end, then live beautifully until the end." - Reiki Alye’s words before she vanished struck Reiki hard. It was obvious something was bothering her, Reiki was just torn between comforting Sephiria at the moment and going to comfort Alye. Sephiria seemed oblivious to Reiki’s words or even his presence at the moment. He was confused as to what to do, which was only made even more confusing with the following events. Standing at the foot of her bed was a sort of astral like image of another red headed young girl who looked extremely similar to Sephiria. Only, Sephiria called the other red head Sephiria, while that red head called Sephira Sinon. Reiki raised a single eyebrow in extreme confusion. ..I’m pretty sure I just woke up… I don’t recall drinking anything this morning…. he said, clearly lost as to what was happening before his very eyes. |
" ..I’m pretty sure I just woke up… I don’t recall drinking anything this morning…."
Reiki's voice snapped Sephiria out of her trance, along with the other red head giggling. Sephiria had the decency to blush and rub the back of her head, her tears having stopped completely. The astral red head turned to the poison slayer, an amused smile on her face.
"You didn't tell anyone your real name? Or even about me?" At the last question, the projected red head put on a sad puppy dog face and Sephiria had to turn her head away as to not be stuck in the look that many a person faltered to. Sephiria sighed and nodded her head.
"I told one person. I didn't tell many others because I didn't know if anyone would believe me......and I wanted to carry on with your name instead." Sephiria finished lowly at the end, not daring to look at the other red head. The astral one sighed and smiled softly.
"It's okay. Allow me to explain to him." The deceased red head turned to Reiki and smiled softly. "I know this must be confusing, but I shall explain it as best as I can." The red head pointed to Sephiria. Her true name is not Sephiria, as you might have guessed from our lovely conversation earlier. In fact, it is Sinon. Sinon Noir." Sephiria, or Sinon as Reiki would now know her true name, sighed and nodded. "My name, is in fact Sephiria. Sephiria Rochester, at your service." The astral Sephiria bowed, and then brought a finger up in order to quell anything Sinon or Reiki might have started to say. "However, seeing as my silly goose Sinon decided to take my name up like she said she would, I will change my own name so it is less confusing!" The deceased red head placed a finger on her chin and then snapped her fingers after about 10 seconds of thinking. "I know! Call me Sophie! Its kind of like my old name, but its also different!" The poison dragon slayer smiled softly, amused by her old love's antics. However, she sighed and turned to Reiki with an apologetic look on her face.
"I....I apologize Reiki. I took her name because I....I didn't want to keep my old one." The young slayer looked down, pained by what she thought might be an angry face. "I.....There is a lot I haven't told you yet either. If.......if you don't want anything to do with me I understand."
It was a bit confusing, but Reiki could piece it together to a degree. The last statement by the young poison dragon made Reiki chuckle ever so slightly. "You can tell me if you honestly feel sulvekaal with doing so… Er, I mean, comfortable with doing so. If you don’t, then just wait ‘till you do. You’re still Sephiria to me. So you have a slightly different real name, who cares? You’re still the Sephiria I want to adopt." he smiled, pulling on her shoulder tighter and bringing her in closer. He ruffled her hair with his free hand, causing it to be a complete mess and hang in front of her face. "Her statement seems pretty accurate, you really are a silly goose."
Sephiria pouted while she had her head ruffled by her mentor. It was nice to feel wanted somewhat, but she also felt bad that she had so fearfully reacted to Alye and Reiki. Especially Alye. She had seemed so nice about it, and Sephiria just denied her access and probably made her feel worse. With one look at Sophie, who nodded her agreement, Sephiria sighed and wrapped her arms around Reiki.
"I....will tell you everything some day Reiki." Sephiria stated softly, looking up at him with her blue eyes which still held some fear, but was mostly filled with trust for her father figure. "For now....I shall hope to be able to call you.....father." Sephiria smiled at him, which caused Sophie to go 'awww' in the background and squeal.
"You two look so cute! Its adorable!" Sephiria sighed as Sophie began to ramble on about how adorable and sweet the scene was. In truth, it was kind of easing for Sephiria to have someone to be able to help her calm her fears, but she forgot how energetic Sophie truly was. Sephiria turned towards her after letting go of Reiki, with a questioning look towards Sophie.
"By the way Se-Sophie." Sephiria corrected herself mid-sentence, using the name that her deceased love wanted. "How are you here? I thought you were..." Sephiria trailed off, which only made Sophie giggle and wave the young dragon slayer off.
"Oh that, its easy. Some of my soul's essence went into your blades after I died." Sophie explained, as she pointed to the weapons which had begun to collect dust in the corner. Sephiria blushed in embarrassment, but let Sophie continue her explanation of how she could be seen by the two dragon slayers. "The reason you two can see me is also easy. Anyone who touches the blades can be connected to the souls that reside inside of them." Sophie pointed to Reiki. "After he touched them, he was connected. Thats how he can also see me. But anyone else won't be able to see me, not unless they touch the blades and connect with them." Sephiria nodded in understanding, until her eyes widened and she looked at Sophie with a question spawning between them. Sophie giggled and nodded to the invisible question. "Yes, but he was too mentally strong. That or someone blocked it from harming him." Sephiria sighed in relief before she hugged Reiki once more, pulling back and sitting crossed legged on her bed.
"Re-Father." Sephiria once again had to correct herself, using the more endearing term for her new adopted father. "Ca-can I ask you to go and get Alye. I want to know if she still.......wants to bother with being my mother." Sephiria looked down in shame, while Sophie frowned in the background.
"Reiki-san, could you please go and gather Alye-san. I have things I need to speak with Sinon about.....alone. And they are really private matters we need to speak about." Sophie urged as she looked at Reiki with semi-pleading eyes. She had something really private to speak with Sephiria about, and Reiki couldn't hear. Not yet at least.
NOTES ! TAGS. WORDS. “Freezer Burn All” LYRICS. “Do the impossible, see the invisible.” NOTES. | "If you have time to think of a beautiful end, then live beautifully until the end." - Reiki Of course you can, Sephiria. How many times am I gonna have to say that I want to adopt you? he laughed, before Sephiria asked Sophie as to why the two could see her. Apparently, it had to do with coming in contact with Sephiria’s two blades and connected with them. Reiki didn’t really understand what Sophie meant by connecting with them. The only thing Reiki could think of was that strange presence he felt when he had carried the blades for her once over a year ago. Sophie then mentioned something rather odd about Reiki being too mentally strong. Before he could question this further, Sephiria asked a rather important task of him. "Re-Father. Ca-can I ask you to go and get Alye. I want to know if she still.......wants to bother with being my mother." Reiki smiled a bit, leaning in to kiss the top of Sephiria’s head as Sophie asked the same thing of him. That was my plan after she vanished like that. I just wanted to make sure you were going to be alright. I’m sure she still wants to be your monah. Reiki said gently, standing up from Sephiria’s bed and compressing his magic power down to barely noticeable levels. If you’ll excuse me, I have a kulaas to tend to. he said, making his way out the door. Upon dismissing Tsuki back to his room and swiftly making his way through the guilds halls, Reiki felt out for Alye’s magic power. He had a fairly good idea where she would be, but he simply wished to confirm it. The moment he felt her power present in the gardens, he had reached the main doors of the guild hall. He slowly pushed them open, being greeted by a roaring thunder off in the distance. He turned in the opposite direction of the thunder, noticing the sun wasn’t even up yet. Jeez, earlier than I thought it was… he mumbled, feeling bad that Tsuki had probably woken up the entire guild hall with her barking. Reiki turned around once more towards the thunder, making his way into Eclipse Souls gardens. Sure enough, there was Alye, holding herself upon a bench in front of the gardens fountains. This was extremely similar to last time he saw her sadness break through her emotional barrier back when the two trained together. He walked over to the bench silently, hoping his compressed magic power would allow him to surprise her a bit. You sure do like these gardens, huh? he said softly, sitting down on the bench next to the white haired maiden and staring up into starry skies above. He had to admit, the very light snowfall covering everything this time of year was rather relaxing; for him, at least. Quickly and smoothly, Reiki slid his right arm around his love, placing his hand upon her shoulder and pulling her in close; all the while continuing to stare up into the sky. He spoke up after a brief moment of silence between the two Slayers. It must be faazaal having your emotions connected to the weather… I can’t imagine the faaz of having to constantly keep your emotions in check simply because you’re worried they’ll cause a storm and hurt someone else.. he said in the same quiet tone, bringing his head down to gaze upon the hurt lass in his arms. He gave her a rather warming smile as he continued to speak. You know… this may sound a bit meyus at first but I believe you and I were meant to be together. After I lost my memories, I was taken in by these monks in Magnolia that taught me their way of Lightning magic. Now while it’s been a few years, I think if remember right a massive cold front can cancel out a thunderstorm; transforming it into a harmless snowfall. I know that my bormah could easily do that, so I’m sure I can pull it off too. he paused again, allowing his words to sink into Alye’s mind. After another few moments of silence, Reiki spoke up once more; the same warming smile upon his face.. Sephi is alright now. She’s calmed down a lot and she’s more than willing to be adopted. Its kind of confusing to explain but lets just say she saw a sort of… hahnuheim of someone that was able to reach through to her. Sephi wants to know if you still want to be her monah. So tell me, Alye….why do you feel unfit for the roll? I’m here for you, so don’t be afraid to let out your emotions. I’ll deal with the ensuing strun. |
◤ ◥ ✖ SKIES TURN INTO STORMS. Shatter every window 'til it's all blown away. 'Til there's nothing left standing, nothing left of yesterday. TAGS WORDS NOTES Alye's eyes were firmly planted to the ground as she sat upon the bench in the gardens. From behind, Alye could be seen with her white hair sitting idly as the snow fell daintily around her form. Her fingers were kneading into the fabric of Reiki's hoodie as she sat with her legs to the side of her. The girl looked up quietly at the sky and sighed gently, a stream of warm air leaving her mouth. Thankfully, Alye didn't feel the cold, so being out here in nothing but socks, leggings, and a hoodie didn't bother her. It was just a side effect of her magic. However, another was that her emotions were directly tapped into the weather around her. It was burdensome for sure. Alye was either happy, or...reserved. That would be the best word for it. Emotions weren't something that Alye had the luxury of experiencing. Any flare of anger brings on adverse weather. Sadness as well. This has caused Ms. Reyold to become a sort of emotional recluse. She'd just became...used to it. As the snow fell upon the garden, Alye sighed once more. She couldn't help but go back to Sephiria's room in her mind. A crushing weight of uselessness washed over Alye as she heard the girl's words. Alye had strength, power, speed, intelligence, and money... but she didn't feel even mildly adequate enough to be a motherly figure for Sephi. Alye let her palms face the moonlight. She could see them shaking gently still. She clenched her fists gently as she stuffed them under her arms and sighed once more. She'd fought and beaten mages of unbelievable power, slain monsters the size of skyscrapers, and faced death down more than once. So why was she so... scared? Alye certainly did feel Reiki's presence, she was trained to, but it seemed so far off that he actually did surprise her a bit. Her blue eyes blinked quickly at him before she looked back at the chilly stars. When he moved to sit down next to her, she shifted her legs to the other side of the bench and then leaned into him when he put an arm around her. Alye didn't say anything. She couldn't think of anything to say. She just kept looked at the stars when he began to speak. "It must be faazaal having your emotions connected to the weather…" Alye looked over at him, speaking more with her eyes than with her lips. He had no idea. She had to stuff down everything. And it was especially hard in her line of work. She's seen and probably will see more things that would break normal people. And she can't react to it. She doesn't even know how she's gone this long like this. "I can't imagine the faaz of having to constantly keep your emotions in check simply because you're worried they'll cause a storm and hurt someone else.." Alye looked back at the sky as a steady stream of air left her nose. She still marveled at how Reiki seemed to be able to read her mind sometimes. "You know… this may sound a bit meyus at first but I believe you and I were meant to be together." Alye smiled a bit, despite herself when he said that. "After I lost my memories, I was taken in by these monks in Magnolia that taught me their way of Lightning magic. Now while it’s been a few years, I think if remember right a massive cold front can cancel out a thunderstorm; transforming it into a harmless snowfall. I know that my bormah could easily do that, so I’m sure I can pull it off too. " Alye looked back over at him and met his eyes while he spoke. She knew what he was trying to say, and she appreciated it, but it was much more complicated than that. "If all you can push back is lightning storms, that I suggest you never let me get angry", she said with more fact than sarcasm, that it was there. Alye could be as unpredictable as the forces she wields at times. Alye sighed a bit softer now as she listened to him talk about Sephiria. But, when he asked her what was wrong, her eyes saddened once more. Her gaze feel to the frosty water below them. She was quiet for a long moment as the snow fell around her pure white form. She answered his question with another one. Albeit with a bit more meaning. "I killed my parents. How could I ever be one? How...could I ever deserve to be one?", she said quietly, but the agony and pain wafting from the white-haired woman was palpable. Alye closed her eyes as she felt the unfamiliar sting of tears bite at her. |
NOTES ! TAGS. WORDS. “Freezer Burn All” LYRICS. “Do the impossible, see the invisible.” NOTES. | "If you have time to think of a beautiful end, then live beautifully until the end." - Reiki "If all you can push back is lightning storms, then I suggest you never let me get angry" the young maiden retorted to his comment. Reiki was used to this sarcasm from Alye by now, but he knew all too well that she was also serious. If he intended to be a man of his words, he knew thunderstorms would be the least of his worries in the near future. However, it wasn’t this comment of hers that struck Reiki right at the core. After he had asked Alye what was wrong, the young dragon was met with an extremely difficult question. "I killed my parents. How could I ever be one? How...could I ever deserve to be one?" she asked him quietly, though the pain was quite evident in her voice. He fell silent, moving his free hand to wipe away the forming tears from Alye’s eyes. Reiki sat there holding the woman he cared dearly for close in his arms; the snowfall beginning to pick up from the amassing clouds overhead. It was a lot to take in with just a few short words. He knew that her parents had died several years ago, but he didn’t know how; until now. After what must have felt like hours to both of them, Reiki finally broke the silence as the snow further whitened their hair. Because...everyone that’s willing to take it deserves a chance to alu’um nistmaar; to redeem themselves. he said softly, wrapping his arms around Alye and pulling her in tightly. That’s the entire reason Eclipse Soul was founded… right? Its a home for those who seek alu’umend… Quite often I’ve wondered why exactly I wound up in this guild. Everyone else seems to have some kind of past they’re not proud of and something they want alu’umend for… so why is it that I’m here? Compared to everyone else, I’ve had a fairly standard life; for a Dragon Slayer, that is. After I started regaining my memories of being raised by my bormah, I began asking myself more and more why a reckless fool like me was ever even let into this guild… Reiki paused, gazing up as the snow continued its dance through the morning skies. He kept his firm grip on Alye throughout the momentary silence. He began to speak once more, a slightly happier tone to his gentle voice. It was right around the time I was considering leaving for another guild that you wound up joining. Everything started changing after that… I began to care about something more than just the thrill of grah against dark mages. I started to care for you and, well, you know the rest of the story. The main answer to my question is right here in my arms while the other answer is up in her room awaiting our return. I have no pain of my own to deal with, but that’s not why I wound up in Eclipse Soul. I was put in this guild to better help others alu’uum nistmaar... The lad brought his head down, gently placing a kiss upon Alye’s forehead as he caressed the back of her head. And my primary focus is and always will be to help you, Alye. I can’t speak for them, but I honestly believe that your lafaan don’t want you to live in regret of what you did. They would want you to move on… and I know its painful, but you don’t have to do it alone. Like I told you many moons ago, Alye, I will stand against any storm to ensure you’re never alone again. No matter what stands in my way, be it dragons, demons, gods, anything; I’ll become a Slayer of them all to ensure I keep that promise. I intend to do so. My bormah would have my head if I ever went back on a promise; especially one to a child of Kaan. he spoke as if Alye knew what he meant by calling her a child of Kaan. Reiki gently pushed the girl out of his arms for a moment simply to look her in the eyes as he continued to speak. I’ve seen the you buried beneath all of those emotional barriers, Alye. Its been for very brief moments, but I’ve seen it. I think… no, I know in my heart that you will make a fantastic monah. I know this because… Zu’u lokal hi… I… w-well… because I lo-... b-because I love...you… he stuttered, a bright red blush filling his cheeks. If Alye were to feel them, she would probably mistake him for being the Fire Dragon Slayer had she not known him. |
