    The Passport Empty The Passport

Post by Kyle Vay 4th March 2014, 12:26 pm

Kyle walked up to the line. Ever since Midi opened its walls to tourism, he had to wander Earthland with a passport, but his current passport was currently suspended. Mainly because he had gone from country to country to take down his targets. So he couldn't go around using his name anymore. The sand mage stood patiently in line. He began to think back to the day of his first target. In Midi:

Kyle sat under a waterfall meditating. He had trained under the Cike family for quite some time now ever since he learned that his blood came from that clan. Kyle sighed as he began to reflect on his first mission. Kyle had never spilled blood in his entire 15 years of life. He contemplated on the truth of his mission. His family had been lead by the blind teachings of Dewei Cike. His mentor and Great Great Uncle.

"Are you ready Master Lien?" A voice sounded beside him. Kyle opened his left eye and looked over at the acolyte of Dewei who came to retrieve Kyle. The man dressed as a monk with a blue lightning bolt on his garb bowed to Kyle. Kyle was known as Dewei's greatest. He had graduated from physical and weapons training to magic when he was 13. Magic training was a breeze to him. He stood up and waded through the lake to the servant who stood there bowed. The servant grabbed a towel and handed it to Kyle. He took the towel and began to dry off. "Master Dewei is in the Fate Threading Room."

Kyle nodded and walked down the winding pathways to his master's personal room. He knocked the door three times and the large doors opened. He walked into the room and looked around. The room was dark with stars all around. In the center of the room was a sun design on the floor. Each of the stars had red threads connected to each other and white silvery threads that connected to the floor. There Dewei stood. He wore a brown cloak that came down to the floor. On the back of the cloak was the marking of a pair of tribal scissors. The marking looked more like a face, but Kyle knew that the purpose of the Cike family was to take down those that were supposed to die. Cut the strand of life. The only way to do so was to take them down. "I am here, Master."

"Lien... My student. I have given you your first target. She is in Iceberg." The man spoke in a deep voice. The voice always rang through Kyle's body straight through his bones. The man's skinny hand pulled on a thread like a guitar. A loud twang was heard and Kyle looked down at the floor just as many assassin's came before him. "Her name is Kaitlyn Marce'el."

He looked down to see a beautiful woman holding her daughter and her husband's arms wrapped around them. Kyle gulped and looked closer to see that this was a happy family. The picture moved back and forth to the daily life of the family of three. He looked up at his master and mentor. "Master... Why would you show me a happy family? They haven't done anything wrong. Therefore I won't do this. Why would you give me such a warm looking target?"

"Lien... we do not question the Threads of Fate. Something happens where we have to come and take matters into our own hands. If she doesn't die, then the world will decay. Do you get it?"

Lien shook his head. "If it is the will of The Threads... I will complete their task." Lien bowed and walked out.

    "Next..."

Kyle looked up to see that he was a good six feet away from the line. "Well... that's rather convenient." He looked in the window to see a lovely little cutie stamping paper work. "Hello there beautiful." Kyle said. He leaned on the counter and took out his passport. "Kyle Vay of Eclipse Soul please." The lady stamped the paper then handed it back giving a small 'hmph' sound. "Why are you playing coy with me?"

The lady looked up and smiled. "Because you mages are all the same. You know that right?"

Kyle sighed as he leaned in closer to the lady. "But I am different than them. What ever you're looking for in a fun night, I can give it to you. Threefold." The lady laughed and blushed. "But you are a cute girl. I bet you're the reason why they call this place Rose Garden."

The girl blushed and looked down at her papers. She grabbed a paper and put an address on it. "Can you pick me up at 7?"

Kyle snatched the paper up and gave a warm smile. "I will be there earlier than 7. We can get some pregaming done before then." The girl laughed nervously. He walked off then looked up at the sky. "That old fool Harrigan doesn't care when I come back anyway. Plus... My reports to him always have every detail of why I'm late anyway."
