Primary Magic: Prismatic Chromaturgy
Secondary Magic: /
Caster or Holder: Caster
Description:
Prismatic Chromaturgy is the art of splitting and harnessing light and creating (drafting) a magical and physical substance, Luxin, as well as a magical non-physical form of energy, Lux, from it. Both can take on many different shades from the visible spectrum (and beyond the human visible spectrum). Each color has its own unique properties. In order to draft a color of Lux or Luxin, a Prism (user of Prismatic Chromaturgy) must absorb and take in light, be it magical or natural. The color of the drafted Lux or Luxin depends on the color of the light that was taken in. However, a Prism possesses the ability to split white light into any of its component colors.
Strengths:
- Prismatic Chromaturgy can split any form of light, be it natural or magical.
- Allows the user to "draft" different colors of lux or luxin that each hold different properties and create versatility.
- Each color holds a connection to the physical, mental and emotional state of the user that can be stimulated positively at times.
- Chromaturgy users absorb light when using their magic and can use it to replenish their energy and heal their wounds.
Weaknesses:
- The user has to be able to see the color in order to be able to draft its Luxin.
- Each of the variations of lux or luxin will hold its own sets of weaknesses as well.
- Each color holds a connection to the physical, mental and emotional state of the user that can affect him negatively at times.
Abilities/Powers:

Abilities/Powers:
- Warrior Within:
Description: Jett has dedicated his entire life to being the fighter that he is today. As a result, all these years of non-stop training have made his body harder, stronger, faster, more agile and more endurable than most practiced warriors. Where others would need an adrenaline rush to pull through and keep going, Jett is just getting started.
Summary:
- Enhanced physical durability and strength.
- Enhanced reflexes, speed and agility.
- The Prism:
Description: Prismatic Chromaturgy users possess accute vision which allows them to take in light on a supernatural level and in turn replenishes energy and enhancing the regeneration of wounds. The user can also pull visual information from far away closer as if it were right in front of him and is immune to blindness from light. It also grants the Prism the ability to see in the dark.
Summary:
- Can absorb and is immune to light-based magic up to 1 rank higher than the user.
- Night Vision
- Immune to blindness from light.
- Can see things up to 10 kilometers away in detail.
- Whenever there is a powerful source of light (the sun, a full moon, a powerful light lacrima, etc.) luxin can be drafted with only half the normal amount of magic necessary.
- Whenever there is a powerful source of light ( the sun, a full moon, a powerful light lacrima, ect.) a total amount of damage equal to the user's rank is regenerated in 4 turns.
- Giist:
Description: When a certain color dominates the Prism's vision to an enormous extent he can enter the color's respective "Giist" form and embody it. His body becomes coated in luxin and he gains the respective lux aura. Giists are one with the color and the powers it holds, which drastically increases its physical, emotional and mental properties. Only higher ranked spells can overpower Giist lux and luxin. Giists can split light and light based magic from a distance and do not have to absorb it first.
The Spectrum (explanation of the different colors):
This is just a list of possibilities that can be generated in a spell or giist form, not a list of passives.
- Spoiler:
Superviolet: Made of wavelengths shorter than normal human eyes can see, superviolet luxin and lux are invisible except to other superviolet chromaturgy users, and those only when they concentrate. The luxin is solid, but not as strong as blue or green, though it is incredible subtle. The lux turns makes any object it is cast upon invisible. Emotionally, it gives the user a removed outlook, an appreciation for irony and sarcasm, and also makes them rather cold at times.
Blue: Often used in the creation of large structures, armor, bladed weapons or projectiles, blue luxin is hard, strong and smooth. The lux increases durability of the object it is cast upon. Emotionally, it makes the user more orderly, inquisitive and unfailingly rational. Structure, rules and hierarchy become more important.
Green: Green is springy and flexible. Used in a wide variety depending on the user's creativity: from furniture to projectiles, shields, throwing arms or even war engines. The lux increases its target's speed, agility and flexibility. Emotionally is makes the user feel the need to be wild and free, sometimes to the point where they disrespect or not even recognize authority.
Yellow: A liquid luxin that releases its energy back into light quickly, allowing its use as a torch or a trigger to ignite flammable materials or explosives. Yellow nourishes other luxins, extending the durability of luxin structures or tools. Like water turning to ice, when yellow is drafted perfectly, it loses its liquidity and becomes the hardest luxin of all. Yellow lux can be used to extend the duration of luxin objects or to heal wounds and simulate regeneration. Emotionally, the user becomes more clear-thinking, with emtional and intellect in perfect balance.
Orange: Orange is slick, lubricative and heavy. It is often used in conjunction with machines and traps. Orange lux increases its targets power and potential output of damage. Emotionally, orange allows the user to become more artistic and understanding of other people's emotions and motivations.
Red: Sticky, gooey and extremely flammable. Red often works with other forms of luxin to make destructive bombs. Red lux makes its target highly susceptible to fire and explosive damage. Emotionally, it makes the user more quick tempered, impulsive, lusty and loving of destruction.
Sub-red: By dilating his eyes fully, the Prism can see in the dark. Sub-red can be drafted into flame crystals which turn into fire when exposed to air. The sub-red lux allows the target to survive intense heat and freezing cold without suffering secondary effects. Emotionally, sub-red generates passion and high emotions.
Paryl: The Prism's eyes turn black entirely while exceedingly dilating his eyes, which not only allows the user to see in the dark, but to see through layers of material as well and be able to spot hidden metal objects. Paryl luxin is invisible to non-paryl chromaturgy users, and is nicknamed "spidersilk" because it weighs less than air and needs to be tethered. Paryl can be shot across distances and woven on and into objects without the target ever feeling it. Perfectly drafted paryl can be turned into very thin needles that can pierce the skin and cause paralyzation. Paryl lux adds its "spidersilk" property to its target which would let the target hover or even fly along wind currents.
White: A mythical form of lux and luxin that only very powerful Prisms can draft. The luxin purifies all that is unholy and corrupted it comes into contact with. The lux allows the target to become one with light for brief moments.
Black: Also known as Hellstone. Black luxin absorbs light that it comes into contact with instantly, be it magical or natural. Black lux has the ability to absorb light within a radius of its target, making the target a pitch-black silhouette that reflects no light.
- D Rank Spells:
Name: Paryl Drafting
Type: Prismatic Chromaturgy
Rank: D
Description: The user's eyes dilate to the point where the pupil expands over the entire lens and turn the eyes pitch-black. To the eyes of the user the world becomes a strange greyish color, but visibility is increased. When the user is drafting paryl he can see through layers of material and spot hidden metal objects. It also allows the user to draft paryl luxin to create beacons, that are only visible to paryl-users, onto objects or beings invisibly and without being noticed. Paryl luxin is also dubbed "spidersilk" because of it being slightly lighter than air and needs to be tethered.
Strengths:
- Can see through layers of material and spot hidden metal objects.
- Can place invisible beacons that cannot be felt when they're being placed.
Weaknesses:
- Easy to get tunnel vision while drafting paryl.
- Unless an ally can also see paryl, he/she cannot see the beacon.
- Duration: 4 turns (can be cancelled at any point)
- Cooldown: 1 turn
Name: Paryl Paralysis
Type: Prismatic Chromaturgy
Rank: D
Description: The user drafts paryl luxin perfectly creating a sharp needle that can penetrate the skin without even being felt. Only those that can see paryl can actually see the needle. If a beacon has already been placed, the needle can be shot out homing toward the target across distances. If the needle is placed the body is paralyzed from that point downward. After release, a spidersilk thread from the hand of origin to the target trails the needle and tethers it in place. The thread can easily be snapped by nearly anything and merely serves trailing purposes.
Strengths:
- If a paryl beacon is in place, the needle becomes homing.
- Can paralyze user ranked and weaker mages depending on where the needle hit.
- Is invisible to non-paryl users and cannot be felt.
Weaknesses:
- If no beacon is in place, the user needs a lot more skill and luck to plant the needle properly.
- Can be seen by other paryl users.
- "Paryl Drafting" needs to be active.
- Can only pierce bare skin.
- Only works on mages of equal rank or lower.
- Duration: 3 turns
- Cooldown: 2 turns
