Wings of fire and ice vs wings of wind and steel(Speed Demon Zack and Zenshin)

"I will just take the lesser dragon's eyes. I am no fool Zenshin...you would destroy me even in your weakened state." Devon said, surrendering before their fight even began. "Good idea, I would really hate to fight you in such a weak state. Plus Zack might not be the happiest man around if you were to fall out of the sky" he replied with a smile on his face. "Sparrow actually told me about a very good arms dealer, if a little illegal and insane. The only reason he hasn't moved in is because he will also supply weapons to the Magic Council's side, so Sparrow thought it would be a good idea to just ignore the times he sells or makes weapons for the 'evil' side. I thought he was the perfect one to go to in order to get myself a new arm crafted. In the meantime, I'll just have a plain metal one that works, but could be much better. I'm really curious on how an arm made from the melted scales of the Golden Dragon of Knowledge will help in battle, I'm getting excited just thinking about it. I will miss my arm though, it's been with me as long as I can remember, haha!" he told the Speed Demon who had lost one of his own body parts, though his eye patch couldn't really help in battle as far as he was aware.

"I have to admit though if I had the chance to change slayer magic light and lightning would be interesting." Zack said, probably imagining all the possibilities that he could do with light slaying magic. "You're better off with just wind slaying, it suits you. And as for my guildhall, you should've seen how long it took to build. Pain in the ass, but it was worth it in the end" Zen said, getting reminded of the massive pain it was to build the entire guild in the sky from scratch. "As soon as I get this mounted and get myself fitted for an artificial arm, I'm going to Capital Crocus, that was this guy's last known location. I'll also probably have to sneak around, as when Fiore hears about what we did, they'll throw parades and write us in history books, so that would probably scare him away. What about you, what are you going to do from here?"

Zack considered the point. What was he going to do after this? He had helped slay one of the most powerful dragons likely to exist. What was there to do? "Well, today proved one thing. I'm not strong enough yet." Zack replied with a shrug then sighed deeply. "If it wasn't for your godlike spells and demon force I doubt we would of won today...though I hate saying it." He threw one of the scales idly into the air and caught it. "I will likely just do what I always do, keep training and keep fighting to make myself even better. There is still so many ways I could improve. I'll probably hit a few more of these high level jobs in order to test my abilities"

"Aye the freedom it provides and the healing it allows me to do suit me to the ground." he said and then paused briefly. "Or should I say to the air?" he chuckled thinking about it. "Along with my special blood...it probably makes me do more stupid things than I should, but what's life without a bit aye Devon?" The fairy just scowled and returned to her smaller form before going into Zack's pocket. He just shrugged. "We've also got to head to Malkariss to deliver the eyes and things."

"As for an arm made from these scales...it would be tough that's for certain and with a bit of luck it should be able to exhibit that same firey aura the dragon used and maybe even produce fireballs or something." he considered it for a short while. The arms dealer Zenshin mentioned must be good if someone like Sparrow considered them to be good enough to ignore shady dealings. Yes, they must be very good indeed. Perhaps they were good enough to give Nobility a looking over. It was his fire sword and if he could imbue it with the dragon's power then...it could become even better. "Might have to go see that arm's dealer myself...could do with getting my swords checked out, make sure they are up to scratch, and maybe even upgraded. Probably the same could go for Devon's spear." He lifted the eyepatch and removed the black sword he used, Nobility of Notus. "This sword is the one i'd have him try to upgrade. With the power of a golden dragon of knowledge in it...it would be even more fearsome. I might even need to think up a new name for it."

Magic:

"Well I hear he specializes more in heavy weapons, but I also hear that he makes exceptions for smiting from time to time, so who really knows" he said while leaning back on the wrym, staring up at the sky before making the Speed Demon an offer. "I don't mean to offend you Zack, but I really like you. Not in the romantic kind of way, more like in the endearing way. I respect how you fight despite your beliefs on that it's mostly luck based and I wanted to make a proposition. I'll only make it once, so consider it well. Recently, Sabertooth has hit a rough patch and we are slowly growing, but we are at a loss of powerful members. I know that Blue Pegasus is your current home and you really like it, but I also know that Shuhei likes to keep to himself and not interact with his guild as much as I do. Zack, I want you to join Sabertooth and become my ace of Conviction. I've seen you in battle multiple times and I would put my life in your hands, seeing as how you've saved it once or twice already. This is a one time offer though, one that I won't make again. Will you accept it and start your new life in Sabertooth as my last Paragon?" he said seriously, with an adamant tone in his voice. He was serious about everything he said in that sentence. Zen didn't think that Shuhei who barely interacts with his members had someone like Zack in his guild, and he was honestly a little jealous, but he couldn't force Zack into his guild.

Everything said was also true, Zenshin wouldn't make this offer again, as it was quite a rare occasion that he would even consider someone to become one of his aces, and now he was offering quite a foolhardy member from another guild this spot. "Of course this means you'll get all the perks that comes with being an Ace of Sabertooth, like the respect and ability to command lower members, not that I think you'll do too much of that. You'll also get my involvement in any personal quests you choose to undertake, should you need my help as well as the ability to fight me or Aegis at any time, since I know how you're always itching for a strong fight."

"I never said it was mostly luck based. I said that sometimes a battle might be won by luck so sometimes even when it looks hopeless you've just got to roll the dice." Zack replied and that was exactly what he meant. He didn't believe everything was luck, but he did often just go with the flow. He flicked the sword up into the air and then raised his eyepatch causing the sword to return back into his eye. He laid there for a while considering the offer. He had lost one guild in the past and he had only joined Blue Pegasus really so he had a goal, to beat Shuhei in terms of speed. It was not a goal he had achieved yet, but perhaps he could still achieve it even at another guild. Plus he'd have another goal that was equally as worthy: to defeat Zenshin in battle. He was unsure if he could do so currently. Even if he could he doubted he could match him in terms of raw power. Even between him and Devon he doubted he could.

"It is a big decision so I won't say yes or no right now." he said calmly in response. His instinct was to say yes, but whilst he would normally rush into situations this was not one of them. This required thought and time. Was it best for him? For his goals. He would have more benefits in their guild and the chance to actually interact with the guild master. "Once we leave the sabertooth guild hall after this mission is complete give me one month and I will give you the answer. It will give me a chance to clear up any loose ends and say my goodbyes." He hoped Zenshin would give him at least that time to think things through and do what he had to do if he decided to change to a brand new guild. Seeing the guild hall would likely be big a persuasive factor. A flying guild hall? That sounded like a perfect home for someone like the sky demon slayer.

"Can you give me that time Zenshin?" he asked. It was almost certain he would say yes he just needed the time to sort things out.

Magic:

"Once we leave the sabertooth guild hall after this mission is complete give me one month and I will give you the answer. It will give me a chance to clear up any loose ends and say my goodbyes. Can you give me that time Zenshin?" Zack said, finally answering his question after a long awaited period of tense silence. "Of course. I didn't expect you to arrive at the guild hall and settle in immediately anyways. Take all the time you need, as I'm sure you've made at least one or two close friends in Blue Pegasus" he responded, getting up from his laid back position and standing on top of the wrym. "Oh hey, we're already at my guild hall. Can you see it too or am I hallucinating again?" he said jokingly, but in the back of his mind he wasn't too sure what the answer to that question was. True, he had lost quite a bit of blood when the Grand Dragon ripped his arm off, but did he lose *that* much. Yes, probably. After a few more minutes, he was sure that they had arrived at the guild hall and he commanded the two dragons to drop off the head on the giant platform that had the teleportation lacrima on them.

"Well, we're finally here. I don't know if I mentioned this already, but I built this all from scratch during my time as an ace of Sabertooth back when Aegis Bright ran the place. By the time I finally took over, the guildhall was done and I moved our official home up here. I left the old guild standing as a way for new and old members to be reminded of how much the guild has evolved since a dusty brick hut in the middle of a desert. I may not look like it, but I have hobbies other than fighting and my fiancee. I also have a passion for architecture and I actually run a small business on the side for that sort of thing, which explains why this looks so nice" Zen explained to the Demon Slayer. "A castle in the sky, it would make a fitting home for you, don't you think?"

Zack was happy that he had been allowed the time he had requested in order to make his decision. It was an entire month which was time to do other tasks and say his goodbyes. "Oh hey, we're already at my guild hall. Can you see it too or am I hallucinating again?" were the words he heard from Zenshin. Yet he did not need to hear them. His sharp eyes caught the sight which was why he hadn't replied immediately. He was completely silent in awe and appreciation. He listened to the words' of Zenshin about the guild hall. It was a truly awe inspiring story.

"Maybe whilst i'm at the guild I can help it improve even further, if I decide to join that is." Zack said. It was a beautiful building floating high in the sky and crafted by Zenshin himself. A true bond between guild and guildmaster. It was much like the bond Shuhei had with his. He had built the guild back up after it was destroyed. It seemed many guildmasters had built their guilds as he had heard that his former guild has also been rebuilt. He had not returned because he had never formed that strong bonds with the guild. The dragons had dropped the head off and the three had dismounted. "Farewell dragons we may call on you again in the future. We will honour the golden dragon forever. He was a truly worthy opponent"

The dragons nodded and raised up to fly off. They had no reason to say. "So how about you show me the insides of this guild." he said with a smile gesturing for Zenshin to lead the way. "I can heal you up a bit if still feel weakened though. That battle probably took a lot out of you." It was at this point that his demon force faded away and he fell to his knees heavily weakened. "Or not." The three slayer forces: Demon, Dragon and God; were said to be some of the strongest powers in the world, though compared to Zenshin's magic he wasn't so sure, but they came with a heavy price. All great magics did. The particularly prize for this seemingly limitless magic and high power was that when it wore off the body was left weakened and drained. He felt so weak. "I might have to stay a bit to recover before I leave. Time to learn a bit about my prospective new home."

Magic:

"Good idea, but first, we're going to need to mount this head on my wall" Zen said with a grin as he pointed to the announcement balcony that sat at the apex of two staircases that were parallel to each other. On top of that balcony was a lacrima that transferred the voice of whoever stood upon it to the entire guild, truly a useful piece of technology that he had installed. "Well my specialization of Recreation gives me jurisdiction over energy and force, pretty much. More specifically leylines, but you don't have to worry about that unless you're really curious about what they are." he said as he adjusted the flow of the leylines in a sort of "column" shape that moved the head slowly from the platform they stood on to the wall that the balcony protruded from. After a couple minutes of an ominous dragon head floating through the air and attaching itself to the wall at the top of the staircase, he turned his head to the Speed Demon. "That should do it. I'd explain the technicalities of that and why the head is going to stay there permanently, but that would probably bore you. Besides, I have a whole guild to show you around" Zen said as he showed Zack to the main part of the guild hall.

"This massive room here is where I come to make announcements or mix drinks from that self-serve, fully stocked bar" he began, pointing to the counter and bar stools in the south east corner of the main room. "To the east is a long hallway with rooms on each side, and at the end is a room that is a secret to everyone but me and my aces. Despite how it looks from the outside, that building in particular is quite different than what it appears to be. Each room is completely white, a blank canvas if you will. Then it becomes filled with whatever you desire. A completely customizable room to make the resident feel as comfortable as possible when they get back from a job, for example"

Zack considered the leyline principle that Zenshin mentioned. The term leylines rang a bell, but not enough to make him think on the situation. He listened to the explanations that the guild master gave about the guild. It all seemed quite normal for a magic guild except perhaps the customizable rooms. "Customized via your magic of Recreation?" Zack decided to ask. "Or by something else?" He was curious about it and by how much it could be customized. "How big can they be too?" He flexed his hands. He still felt so weak after the user of force.

"I'd probably use mine as a workshop...I have a thing for machinery...particularly engines." he said with a grin. "I've been meaning to build some flying machines, if only so my teammates can keep up with me in the air....well to some extent anyway." He thought about it for a moment and shrugged. "Not quite managed to get one that gets close to my speed yet, but i'm getting there. Just limited by parts and knowledge I think."

"So does your guild hall have a name?" Devon asked poking her head out of Zack's pocket. She was quite impressed by the guild hall so far. It was a huge flying castle. It was glorious. One of the most amazing works of engineering and architecture that she had ever seen. "Or is it just the sabertooth guild hall?" SHe hoped it had a more impressive name otherwise it would be lame. Zack considered this an important point as well. He wondered exactly what it would be. If it was impressive he might remember it. If not then it didn't matter that much. It would just be important to some degree. If only to see if Zenshin was as imaginative with names as he was with building designs. "A castle in the sky would be the ideal home for the Sky Emperor."

"Well, the sky emperor wouldn't be living here...I don't know where he is." Zack replied looking at Devon with a raised eyebrow. "He dissapeared remember?"

"I meant you, you dolt." Devon said with a shake of her head.

"I may have techniques named for the Sky Emperor and Sky King, but I am not at that level yet...maybe one day." he turned to look at Zenshin. "Its a very impressive guildhall you have."

Magic:

"Thank you Zack, and that's an interesting question Devon. I hadn't quite thought if it before, but the name of the guild hall will be.... Hm. I think I will name my guild hall Eden. It fits rather nicely I think." the Saint said as he stroked an invisible goatee with his left hand. "And as for your previous question, yes. And they can be as big as you want, there isn't a size limit when it comes to these rooms I've designed. They're enchanted to be potentially far bigger on the inside then they appear on the outside, quite nifty if I do say so myself" he continued, pointing at the hallway with the vast amount of rooms. "By the way, if you aren't already at the level of a Sky King or a Sky Emperor, you're definitely close. I've never seen someone drill through a dragon like that before. It was quite the step up from fruitlessly headbutting them, hahaha! Hm, and then there's the building to the West of the main guild hall, which normally seems like a broken bridge with floating pieces scattered through the sky, hovering in place, but they will come together for those deemed worthy enough to potentially disturb me in my own room. Sure, you might think you can simply fly there, but the pieces will form a very strong barrier should you choose to do that, so don't get any funny ideas" he said with a wink before leading the Speed Demon back to the platform they landed on, outside the guild. "And that is the last building in the whole guild hall, and arguably my favorite. It leads to the arena that self repairs after sustaining damage and has potential to be a very good training grounds should you find an adequate sparring partner. You're free to explore it if you want, but there's not much to look at. It's aesthetically pleasing though, as is the rest of my guild hall. Although I'm no prophet, I feel like you're going to make the right call about my offer and join my family here on Eden. I look forward to the next time we meet, Speed Demon"

"Now that sounds like a challenge." Zack said looking across the bridge of broken pieces. It was supposed to either let you pass or form a barrier preventing you passing. He grinned to himself. "I think if I do join i'm going to make it one of my goals to get past the barrier. Sound ok to you?"

Eden. A garden. A paradise. Not the name he would of chosen for a guild such as Sabertooth. He was almost certain there was some better name that would be more fitting, but he was not one to doubt people's opinions. If that was his choice then that was his choice. "I suppose I might be close to the Sky King, or one of them anyway, but I feel the sky emperor would of been able to take that dragon down...without help." He nodded thinking about his mentors. He had been trained by the Sky Emperor and his subordinates the sky king, a group of powerful demon slayers. They had seen Zack's will for speed and freedom and offered to train him seeing him fit to inherit the power of the sky demon slayer. "I never did find out what happened to them...the Sky Emperor may have even proved a match for Acnologia." He considered that point for a while. It was definitely possible. He wasn't even sure he'd seen the full extent of his power.

"Is he really that powerful?" Devon asked. She had never met the sky emperor, but had heard Zack speak of him. He was a figure that stood behind Zack like an imposing aura and in front of him like a goal he was constantly striving towards.

"Aye. Where I trained with him the very air shook when he exerted his power...it was possible to feel it for miles around." he replied with a shrug. "One day i'll match him though. Just like one day i'll match acnologia." He looked at Zenshin. "I may be the sky demon slayer, but the sky is certainly not my limit" he winked at his potential new guildmaster. He wondered what his choice would be when the month was up. It was a difficult decision because both sides had potential. He would have to see what his instincts told him.
