The worst kind of date (Pegasus, Shard)

The Job:

So every now and then there is that certain job that is just entirely out of your own comfort zone. Even if you want to admit it or not. Unfortunately for Delvyn his current job is just like that. He'd even didn't read it all through, Delvyn just ripped the piece of paper from the local request board and declared to all the other patrons that going on a date was just like being a bodyguard. Only now he could woo a girl.

Delvyn had send word for his participation in this job to the client the very next day, and within a week time he got a reply from them that he had to meet up with another mage. Who would also accompany one of the ladies. They didn't gave him any further information tho. Only that he had to meet him near the front gate of Clover Town. And that the clients would come to meet them there.

Upon the day of their job Delvyn had travelled towards Clover Town and took place underneath the gate towards town. Where he was leaning against a wall. Almost impatiently, for he wanted to meet his wingman for this job. However both of these mages didn't know how dreadful of a date they were going to be to these poor girls.

The man whom Devlyn would be partnering with couldn't be any more different than the mercenary if he tried. Shiraz Sucrose as he was known was a man obsessed with two things beauty and sweets. He also liked other good foods, but sweets were his main forte. This man arrived in style and beauty every time. He rode towards the gate atop the back of a beautiful white horse saddled and reigned in black lined with silver. He was wearing a white tuxedo with a blue tie. His multi-coloured hair was tied back into a ponytail. For want of a better word he was beautiful. His skin has a slight sheen to it that just added to his beauty. He came to a halt outside the gate and dismounted. With a gesture of his hand he formed a cube of sugar and fed it to the horse as he patted its head. He turned and looked about. The only person he could see was Devlyn. Not an ugly man, but not nearly beautiful enough in his opinion.

"Are you to be my partner for this mission?" Shiraz asked. Even his voice had a slight lyrical quality to it. It was very pleasant to listen to. Shiraz had come on this job because he felt if someone was to fake a boyfriend it should be the best boyfriend, in his opinion him, due to his attractiveness and niceness. "My name is Shiraz Sucrose of Fairy Tail."

When his companion arrived Delvyn first had trouble to figure out if the man wasn't a girl. For he had a skin that appeared as smooth as silk. Actually it was his entire theatrical entrance, the man rode a majestic white horse and while he did the manes and the man's hair, waved backwards in the wind. His colorful hair was tied backwards into a ponytail, and with the tuxedo he was wearing he looked quite dashing. Even Delvyn had to admit that.

Delvyn took a quick look at his own clothes, which weren't anything special. Just the usual bronw pants with a waistcoat above it. And the long jacket with a white fur on the edge.
As the man introduced him as Shiraz Sucrose from Fairy Tail, Delvyn grabbed his hand. And shook it firmly while he replied to him.
"Delvyn Wright, mercenary. So I think you will do good with the ladies!'

Shiraz shook the hand a thoughtful look on his face. "Beauty is something that appeals to all." he said as he let go and swept a hair out of his face with a dignified air. "But it is in the eye of the beholder. I am sure you do well with some." It was then he saw people approaching from the other side of the gate. Two women both in gowns. One a red-head in a black gown and the other a white haired woman in a green gown. Both were very beautiful though in different ways. The white haired woman was curvy and voluptuous with a large endowment in the chest area. The red head had a more athletic build, but still quite curvy and once again she was well endowed in the chest area. It was almost like they were characters straight out of an anime. The red head's outfit was slightly more revealing. She appeared to be on the date as if she was aiming to get some action after the first date. The other was more modest, as if she was expecting this to go no further than maybe a light kiss on the cheek. In terms of a match it looked to him like the red head and Devlyn would go better together.

"You're our dates then?" the red head said looking over them critically. To Shiraz's surprise she walked over and looped her arm through his. He'd been expecting her to pick Devlyn. She was more athletic and thus expected her to be into the more muscular guy.

"Yes Mademoiselle we are. I am Shiraz Sucrose and this is Devlyn Wright." he said and then with a gesture of his hand he made a single rose appear. What was interesting about this rose was that despite looking almost identically to a rose it was candy striped because it was made of candy. "A beautiful lady deserves a beautiful flower just like a gorgeous man deserves a gorgeous lady." He smiled showing off brilliant white, perfectly straight teeth as she took the flower and sniffed it. It would smell faintly of strawberries. "I am sorry it is not a real flower, but a sweet lady deserves a sweet treat don't you agree? Have a taste I beg of you" The red head blushed. She wasn't used to such comments despite the fact that she was quite into smut and erotica, as well as being quite revealing in her attire most of the time. She took a bite of the flower and a cat-like smiled appeared on her face.

[color=scarlet]"Its strawberry candy." she said happily. Shiraz smiled again. "I love strawberries." Shiraz had guessed as much which was why he had made it that flavour. She had a faint aura of strawberries, or her hair did at least. To his surprise though as they walked she continued to lightly nibble it on it with that cat-like expression on her face. "I'm Erza Scarlet by the way."

While the red head introduced herself to Shiraz as Erza Scarlet, the other girl walked up to Delvyn. And threw him a gentle smile. And one thing was for sure, Delvyn knew that this girls personality was entirely different then the red head.
'Hi, and I am Mirajane Strauss.' she said while approaching Delvyn
'I'ts a pleasure to meet you'

Unfortunately for the silver haired beauty, Delvyn wasn't as subtle as she was. As he threw an arm around her shoulder and started to lead her into town.
'Well aren't you a pretty lil' thing. I am Delvyn Wright! I am happy to escort you for today.'

Mira seemed to be not even the slightest impressed by Delvyn's over manly behavior. And one reacted to it with a 'Oh My' Which was probably a reaction to Delvyn's rudeness and obliviousness to her power. But the entire time as they walked down the streets of Clover Town, Mira kept smiling. As if it was nothing but normal.

"It is a pleasure to meet you Miss Scarlet. It is always a pleasure to meet someone as beautiful as you." he said which caused the redhead to cough and splutter as she almost choked on her candy. However, she recovered quickly, though her face was almost the same colour as her hair. A beautiful harmony of reds. Though he decided not to tell her this incase it caused her to choke once more. Coughing was not beautiful. It was part of illness and illness was, in his opinion, was ugly. He couldn't see how anyone could find illness beautiful. Death, now death he could understand to some degree, but not illness. It was as if it was a leech draining the beauty from them as it drained their health. Truly ugly.

"Call me Erza." she said eventually when she recovered. He nodded in agreement. It was at this point that they arrived at the manor house. It was quite a beautiful mansion, very grand and well made. He felt a bit though that it was trying to hard which gave it a gaudiness that took away from its beauty. A shame really. Erza however looked at it with a strange apprehension on her face. Particularly at the tower like spire near the centre. It seemed to effect her negatively. "Let's go in then. You all ready?"

The manor was build in a baroque kind of style, and easily exceeded the Snuggly Duckling in size. But even though it was a magnificent structure, it felt a bit to much. As if they tried to put all the elements of different manors into one building. But there was also something strange about the manor, it appeared to be that the building wings all came to together at a centre point. Which was some sort of a spire like tower.

As Erza led them inside, Delvyn got the chance to admire the manors interior. Which was just like the outside, a bit to much. The woodworks all around them were beautifully carved in spiraling structures, and occasionally switched with a flower like design.
'My! Ya'll live in this place? You girls are loaded with money!'

Delvyn didn't even think about he was saying, he just blurted it out. To which Mira only smiled, apparently not even bothered by the rudeness of Delvyn. But unknowingly to him. A small anime annoyance symbol appeared on the back of her head.

When they entered the building the apprehension seemed to fade from Erza if only because she couldn't see the tower. It was quite an interesting sight. Devlyn's reaction to the mansion once inside was one of shocked awe or so it seemed. Again another interesting reaction. It was quite a beautiful thing to see different reactions from people to a building. His reaction was one of reverence to the beauty of the building. He said nothing about it, but merely admired the workmanship. Again it felt a bit...gaudy...but still it was beautiful.

"Beautiful." he said, but his eyes were not on the building, but on Erza who blushed as dark a red as her hair. It was quite a beautiful shade. "Shall we proceed Erza?" He considered the building for a moment and focused. His hair began to move by itself and changed to that of a short, slightly messy, but very modern look. His hair magic had its uses. With a few changes of position they changed to appear from two people next to eachother holding arms to people who might just be a couple.

Devyn with his arm around Mira, was leading her inside the building. He sure as hell wasn't boyfriend material, but being that the case. Delvyn just might be the perfect person to act like one, definitly if he had to pretend to be one for a rich girl as her. No he might not the ideal boyfriend that parents could hope and pressured their daughter for. But he was the perfect guy to be 'that' boyfriend. The one that the parent did not approve of.

And Delvyn had all the traits for it, he was older, buffed and smoked. Was direct and mostly came over as rude. No this girl's parents definitly wouldn't like him hanging around their fragile precious lil' girl. But be that as it may, while Delvyn stood next to her in the grand hall, he started to wonder where her parents could be.
'So hon' where are these parents of you?'

Shiraz was lead over to the woman's 'parents' slowly. Looking at them and her she saw no sign of any resemblance at all. He was quite good with things like that. Was she adopted? He didn't know. "Ah it is a pleasure to meet the parents of my beautiful Erza." he said with a bow. There was something off about her reaction to her parents as well. His touch of her back was so light it would probably not be noticed by a bug, but there was a slight glance from Erza. She'd noticed it. Her sense of touch was insane. She also 'tasted' of magic power. She was no ordinary girl. When he was eventually lead away Erza spoke to him softly and quietly.

"They are not my parents. I am here on a mission. When the dinner starts make an excuse and leave." she said. "My infiltration will be finished then." Shiraz nodded and Erza just smiled. "Thank you."

Eventually when the dinner was on Shiraz rose to his feet. "I'm sorry to disturb your meal good people, but I have just recalled I have to be somewhere." he said and bowed his head. "Please excuse me." With that he kissed Erza quickly on the lips with a smile causing her to blush even darker red then before. "I will see you soon honey."

Shiraz and Delvyn were lead towards the girls parents, only something seemed a bit off. For some reason the girls didn't really resemblence their father and mother. But Delvyn shrugs at that tought and shook it off for now.

Later on during diner, each of them were sitting at a long mahogany table. With Delvyn and Mira at one side and Shiraz and Erza on the other. While their so called parents were sitting opposite from each other at the top.
At some point Shiraz made an excuse and left the table, leaving Delvyn a bit dumbfounded. Who did not realize this was a part of some plan and could only question why someone would try to leave this buffet of exotic foods. But leaving such a gorgeous diner was not something that Shiraz would do, and this made Delvyn curious.
'Hmm weird, I might better check on him. Also Mira girl, where is the bathroom' he said while chomping on some food.

Mira directed him towards room down the hall, but before he went and find some relief he approached Shiraz first.
'Wait, you got recalled in the middle of a job? Seem a bit weird to me... so what is going on?'

"The girls are mages. They are here for their own mission, an infiltration of some kind." Shiraz explained quietly so only Devlyn could hear. "Erza asked me to leave, they only needed us as a distraction and being introduced and going to the dinner was all they needed. You can stay if you wish." He chuckled and then spoke out loud. "Like I said I just remembered I have something to do. So i'll be seeing you." With that he turned and began to walk away leaving his partner to do as they would. He had no reason to stay though he did hate leaving such delicious food behind. He chuckled to himself.

"I never thought someone could blush scarlet til Erza did." It was quite funny to him and quite pretty. He wondered if he'd ever see her again. He'd have to take her out on a proper date one day. "I'll take her to the strawberry fields."

What Shiraz told him did explain much. Definitly why the girls looked a bit different from their parents. And Delvyn couldn't see any other way around it and had to agree that leaving might be the best solution so that the two girls could tend to their own buisness. And Delvyn had figured that he only would be in the way if he stayed.

Delvyn quickly popped into the dining room, and coughed once to get everyones attention. 'ehm, sorry but I am leaving as well. I can't leave that poor guy travel all by himself can I now.' he said while laughing a bit.
After he took some goodbyes he walked down the hall with a fast pace, hoping to catch up with Shiraz. It took him a few minutes but when he got outside he could see the colorful haired man's back. Delvyn increased his pace a bit and when he was just a few meters away from Shiraz he called out to him.
'Hey Shiraz wait up!! I am going with ya'
