Special Characteristics:

• Red Eyes: The odd crimson coloration of Shiro's eyes are the result of a rare, genetic malformation. His vision is sharpened by this abnormality rather than hindered, oddly enough.
  
• Hand-to-hand Combat Expert: Shiro is a successful practitioner of physical combat. When his magic is drained or when he wishes to battle without it he can take on multiple opponents at once. He has honed his combative skills through several years of practice in the martial arts and fights on the street.
  

Personality:

• Respectful: Shiro knows the importance of the authority and does not hesitate to pay complete and utmost respect to those who are above him. In the case where an equal or higher is leading a group which he is in he listens to absolutely anything and everything they have to say.
  
• Courageous: When his friends are down, or perhaps he is caught in a battle which he has no chance of winning, he never gives up, displaying a fierce courageous spirit which resonates throughout the battlefield (figuratively, of course). He pours all of his effort and power into every fight. This does occasionally lead to a small scuffle escalating to the point where the opponent is at risk of receiving life-endangering injuries, however.
  
• Forgiving: Shiro knows that everyone is human and making mistakes is part of life. Thus, he is quick to forgive and forget almost anything anybody does to him. The only exceptions to this are life-threatening injuries or murder afflicted on himself or his close friends.
  
• Formal: Shiro has a formal attitude. He speaks courteously and dresses very formally. This leads people to believe he is a person of importance, and thus, he receives respect in return for his well-mannered attitude and appearance.
  
• Humorous: Despite how formally he dresses and acts, Shiro is quick to tell a joke and imbue his conversations with a sense of Humor. He does this in order to liven up what he deems boring topics. He also finds that it draws people, socially, towards him.
  
• Social: Shiro enjoys talking. When at an informal event, he engages in as many conversations as he can. Despite his antisocial appearance he is quite the chatterbox indeed. This stems from his antisocial youth growing up in an orphanage where he was beaten often and shunned by his fellows for his odd eyes.
  
• Impulsive: Shiro is a bit impulsive. This can be both positive and negative, in a sense; it can save the lives of his comrades just as easily it can get him in trouble. He sometimes even puts himself at risk of life-endangerment or death. This is a hindrance which he tries to control. However, doing so is difficult, and he will sometimes lapse back and forth between periods of self-control and his impulsiveness.
  
• Bad Leader: Shiro never learned good leadership skills, so to speak. When placed in a situation where he has to lead and command others he cannot do so at all. Even with respect he lacks the ability to give commands and force people to obey him. It is largely unknown why.
  
• Occasionally Withdrawn: Occasionally Shiro is shown to be unusually withdrawn. This comes up at random; his emotional security and mental state might still be odd from his life in the orphanage where he grew up.
  
• Arrogant: While humble outside of combat, in the midst of a fierce battle, Shiro's personality can grow arrogant and harsh. This is especially evident in the midst of a clash between someone who has a strong arrogance himself and presents himself as one who is much stronger than Shiro.
  

Likes:

• Thunder: Shiro finds the sound of thunder relaxing. When coupled with cool summer rain it puts him right to sleep.
  
• Yellow: The color yellow is bright and cheery; thus, he is quite fond of it.
  
• Rice: It is grainy and puffy and light. What's not to like?
  
• Requests: Shiro likes going on job requests because he likes to help others out. It gives him a sense of usefulness and merit.
  

Dislikes:

• Followers: Those who mindlessly follow him or others have no drive. They need to be able to lead rather than follow. (Hypocrite?)
  
• Shallow people: People who judge solely based on appearance are typically condescending twats who Shiro wants nothing to do with.
  
• Betrayal: Putting one's trust in something and being taken out by that something is not the best of feelings.
  

Motivations:

• S-rank: As S-ranks are the strongest mages out there, Shiro wishes to one day be able to control that kind of power.
  
• Mastery of Magic: In order to obtain a position of respect Shiro feels he must master usage of magic. He needs this, also, to achieve S-rank one day.
  
• Productive Member of Society: Shiro strives to help out as many people as possible one day, as he intends to become a helpful, productive member of modern day society.
  

Fears:

• Hate: Shiro fears being ostracized or hated because he feels as though he has done nothing harmful against anyone else. He does not deserve hate. (Or does he?)
  
• Anger: Shiro is, despite his stature and serious, formal appearance, often the first to cower in fear when someone is angry near him or (even worse) at him.
  
• Rats: Their tails look like little worms, and their furry little bodies creep him out. This is normal, right?

Appearance: Shiro is a tall and lanky man with long legs and arms. His eyes are abnormally red. He typically dresses in (now that he has his own money to buy his own clothing) gentleman's clothes; tuxedo shirts, blazers, dress pants and dress shirts. However, when feeling exceptionally casual he sometimes wears a regular T-shirt and tan or black jeans. His face is slender and handsome, and his nose is pointed slightly. He stands straight and rarely slouches.
