"Zen... I... I didn't mean to... you know that right?"
The last days had been pure stress. For both body and mind. Insomnia, migrane and an approaching illness because of revelations from a few weeks ago strained Iana to no extent. Her emotions were completely out of control and she wasn't even really pregnant yet. She had started countless fights with Zenshin just for the heck of it. There was seemingly no end to the dark tunnel she had stepped into the day that Zenshin had made pregnant. That was what she was thinking right now.
Her mind was set on the idea that if she just wouldn't have a kid approaching, everything would be fine. Then she wouldn't have gotten to know the terrible fact. She was virtually infertile. There was no currently possible way to get the child. It would die within the next 3 to 4 months. It seemed like the end to her lifelong dream. The lifelong dream to become what she never had. A mother. Her only real goal in life had been that. And it had been completely obliterated.
She asked herself by what it had been crushed exactly several times. Iana couldn't answer though. Was Meoru at fault? To some extent. But she was so deeply bonded with him by now, she wasn't able to let go of a piece of her soul. So what was Iana's outlet to all of this? Well, herself first and foremost. But then there was Zenshin.
In his ever-forgiving kindness, he hadn't even considered breaking up with her. Something she seriously wanted to make him do. Iana didn't want him to go through all of this with her. It was her fault, it was Meoru's fault, it was the kid's fault. Everyone but his. Yet, she was treating him like the one ass in this whole situation.
Sitting on Zenshin's sofa, inside Zenshin's house, drinking Zenshin's tea and hugging Zenshin's pillow, Iana remained silent. She was watching him eating a bowl of noodles. Everything was quiet. All that could be heard was the sound of him slurping his noodles. It even looked kind of cute.
Just a minute before however, Iana had started a big time argument with Zenshin in which he blamed him for impregnating her. She had yelled at him, gotten aggressive and even banged her head against the walls several times. That was done to calm herself down, but that had probably seemed more like the actions of someone suffering under insanity. Rubbing the spot where her head hit the wall, she could feel the bump slowly forming. A small tear even rolled down her cheek and she silently wept. She didn't exactly know what to say to him. Her completely childish behavior from before had been impulsive, but there was nothing to be undone about it.
"You probably never thought you had signed up for that kinda stuff..."
