[Noble Novella]Mishi's Sins

Mission Details:

Mishi stopped as he finally arrived at the Serene Cliffs, while it had been a long time since he had last been here he wasn’t entirely sure about going any further. However he decided to stop for a moment and think things through I’m almost there…if I’m going to do this I should stop hiding putting his hand on the hood of the cloak he had adorned in case of a tail, while it was more in case of Usa he wouldn’t have put it past his teammates to follow him. Either way Mishi decided to remove his cloak after all at this point if anyone was still nearby they already knew who he was so hiding was pointless, besides he wanted to return the way he left. Mishi quickly threw of the cloak and placed his trademark hat back on his head before straightening his tie, while he was not in the mood, he felt the need to look his best on this occasion.
While his hair was still a little mangy, and his suit wasn’t completely straight what would probably have stood out the most would be the very large bouquet of 27 roses in his left hand he looked down at the roses to make sure they were still in good condition I hope that everyone likes them. As he continued to walk towards the woods he took a deep sigh before muttering to himself “assuming I somehow survive this I should try to make it up to the girls…but that’s probably just wishful thinking.” Mishi grew even sadder at this prospect, would he really never see his friends again? At least he could take some happiness from the fact that he knew they were safe…and that they wouldn’t be seeing anything that was going to happen today.
After around 30 minutes of walking Mishi finally saw it the landmark he was looking for, the town of Trallis. Well more like what was left of it, the entire town had been long since abandoned, destroyed by dark mages, the small town of artists and musicians stood no chance, especially since the towns own mage guild had been destroyed before anything else. That would be his first stop, no matter what happened he had to go there first, finding the town was just to help him navigate, after looking at the town for another moment he turned to his left, walking straight through town was not something that he wanted to do, especially with what he would’ve had to pass by to get to the guild.
As he got closer to his destination Mishi grew more and more nervous it had been a long time since he had been here, the gates of the guild Sparrow’s Song has it really been three years…time really does fly. Mishi looked up once at the burnt sign that stood at the top of the gate and showed the guilds name along with its symbol a sparrow with a music note flying from its mouth, this sign while burnt was about the only part of the guild that the fire didn’t take. Mishi looked forward towards the guild hall, well what was left of it at least, the guild had long since burnt to the ground, set ablaze in the attacks, in front of the ruins was the guilds courtyard long since overtaken by grass and weeds. This of course didn’t matter especially because the courtyard now served a new purpose as a graveyard, before the guild stood 27 graves each marked with a crudely maded grave marker.
With a deep breath Mishi forced a smile before taking a step forward and happily shouting “HEY EVERYONE, I’M HOME!” With a wave of his hand he approached the nearest grave, placing a rose in front of it and facing the marker before speaking “hey Frona, how’s the piper magic coming along?” He continued to do this with each grave, placing a rose before talking “Hunter, how’s it been? Still up for a job?... Otojiro, are you taking good care of your sister? Mari, Oto is behaving right?” This continued for what felt like an eternity Kai, Jane, Maxwell, Satoko, Avery, Ryushi, Minerva, Corbin, Rowland, Linford, Suzu, Harriette, Ryozo, Frost, Jordan, James, Myrtie, Kami, Geneva, Marion, Nolan, Dunstan each person receiving a rose and an individual greeting from Mishi, it had been a long time since he had said hello to everyone like this while it did almost bring him to tears it also made him feel somewhat at peace. That was until he got to the largest grave stone the one overlooking all the others, placing the final rose down and beginning to speak “Hey pops, how’s everything going” he paused for a moment turning to look at the other graves before turning back and continuing “sorry I forgot you don’t like me calling you that in front of the guild, how’s it going…Master Vincent.” He stopped for a moment trying to assure that he wouldn’t cry here and remind himself that a gentleman does not lose his composure.
“So I got a message from Usa about your broach…” Mishi began to talk all the while thinking to himself
Remember keep your composure
“I couldn’t believe it at first, but there’s no doubting it but…”
You can’t lose your cool here not now
“But I thought master… master said he killed her when she turned on us” as he remember that day he began to lose control
Please no…I can’t…not here
“So…*sniff* so that means… that I… *sniff* have to…avenge…” at this any level of composure that he had vanished and in a single moment Mishi let out all of his emotion falling to his knees and yelling at the sky.
“GOD DAMNIT WHY?! WHY DID THIS HAVE TO HAPPEN!?...WHY DID SHE HAVE TO TURN?! WHY DID SHE HAVE TO TAKE YOU ALL?!...why do I have to kill her?” almost instantly his head dropped looking to the ground the gentleman mage began to sob for the first time in 3 years.

Kyll and Sephiria hid a good ways behind. Kyll was rather good at tracking prey who walk and predicting where they would move next. It was one of her useful skills. She figured out where Mishi was heading when everything pointed to the Serene Cliffs. She had never really been there before. So this was a bit of an adventure. Along the way to keep themselves from being discovered by Mishi, Kyll would find a random herb growing out in the wild. She would take time to explain the herb to Sephiria. Savories, spices, sweets, even aromatic herbs. Finally the two wind up with a tiny bit of distance from Mishi. Kyll opened her eyes. She had touched death. She could see them completely now. Ghosts. Kyll shook a bit, but now she could understand what they were doing. They were all surrounding Mishi as if to console him. She looked at Sephiria and sighed. "I knew it..." She whispered. Kyll remembered back to her previous guild. People came in to master their magic and are given the choice of being light or dark. Either way they were giving to the balance of the world and that's how Einrich saw it. There was a balance to be maintained. "Looks like we are going to run into one of the mages who chose a darker path." Sephiria said. "And by the power of that sparrow that came in... It's not going to be easy for Mishi. He will need our help." Kyll walked up to Mishi and her wooden lunch backpack squeaked. She stopped and put a hand on his shoulder. "You forgot your lunch." kill said with a  sisterly smile.

Kyll wanted Mishi to know that she was there for him. Even if Mishi felt said she would be there. "You're not going to do this alone. At all. We're all here for you."

Sephiria came along with Kyll to find out what Mishi was up to, and the Poison Dragon Slayer was extremely curious about this entire endeavor. Sephiria hadn't know too much about Mishi or Kyll, and she was figuring out these things bit by bit recently. Although, Sephiria thought quietly while moving along with Kyll. They don't know much about me either, only what I allow them to figure....I can't allow them to know more. Sephiria knew that if any of her friends or guild mates would figure out her true life, they would either hate her or try to help her. Sephiria could understand where Mishi would come from with wanting to face things without the help of anyone, but unlike him she knew that she had her sister ready to help her finish off her former family. Sephiria felt that her guild mates didn't need any information on what she was planning, and she knew that her family would waste no time in trying to eliminate them. Sephiria would rather die alone than bring her friends into her mess.

Sephiria shook the thoughts about her past out of her mind, and began to listen to Kyll when she was talking about a herb found in the wild. Sephiria smiled as she followed Kyll, she knew that it was only so long before she left just like Mishi did. She wondered if her friends would follow her, but she shook the thought away. She was going to be more subtle about her departure, and make sure that no one followed her at all. Sephiria didn't need any stragglers who could get hurt at all.

Sephiria didn't understand what Kyll meant about facing a mage who went down a darker path, but Sephiria was always ready to test herself more in a fight. Sephiria followed Kyll and stood next to her as she spoke to Mishi. When Sephiria was sure that Kyll was done, she nodded, adjusting her blades on her back a bit. "We are here to help you in any way we can Mishi. That's what friends are for." At least, until those friends have to leave themselves. Sephiria mentally noted, understanding his thoughts but not wanting him to fight alone.
