Frederick was standing in the shadow of the tree line. While he stared at bright light emitting from the windows of a small village. As always Frederick's face was concealed by the hood of his cloak, and showed only the lower part of his chin. Also the rest of his body was hidden away by the cloak that he wore.
But while he was standing there, he was actually waiting for a peculiar young girl from his guild. Namely Sinali, a dark mage who wielded a twisted and disturbing form of magic. And lately she had shown great promise, even so much that it had earned her a chance to prove herself to Frederick.

So he had decided to give her a little test to see how ready she was to take on some more of the difficult tasks the guild had to offer. It wasn't a rather difficult challenge, but it still had to be handled with some care.
Because in that village lived twenty five people, whom all had to find an early demise. But she couldn't just go barging in, that would trigger some of them to run away towards the nearest Rune Knight outpost. And that was something that would only create unnecessary attention towards them. No, she had to kill these families on by one. Without creating to much attention at first.

So there he stood, in the darkness of the night staring at the silent feast of death that occurred in front of him.

    OOC:
Allright, before you begin you have to roll the monster dice twice, the outcome of that will show the power level of two swordsmen that reside in that small village. These two have to be taken out. Further more Sinali has to kill at least 20 of the villagers before dawn.
The word count is 1500, and you can choose to do it in one post or several.

Sinali arrived at the location and saw Frederik. He was the guildmaster of her guild and had requested her to attend him today. He gave her specific instructions: Wipe out the village and do it as silently as possible. It would be difficult with her magic by itself. However, she had a new trick up her sleeve. Namely, a weapon that she would be carrying with her from now. It was literally up her sleeve in the form of a bracelet that was attached to her wrist. This bracelet was an intricate silver snake. This was Mr. Snakey. The weapon which she would kill the first group of people in this village. She had to select the house well. If she attacked one with two many to soon then it was likely one would escape and raise the alarm. She had to deal with a small group first. This was a mission to test her infiltration and assasination skill. At least at first. She would end it with a display of her might to really sell it and would probably let one person live to spread the legend. Well, she might do. It all depended if she was satisfied by that point.

"I will do my mister Mister Fredwick." she said and began to walk into the village. First she'd sneak about as silently as she could and see who was in each of the homes.

She snuck around the town slowly and observed each of the houses briefly. Each of them had at least two people in it, but two of them did only have two. Those would be her first targets. Fortunately, one of them had left a back window open so she snuck in through that and into the room. By the sounds of it they were snoring in the next room. What silly people. Leaving their window open whilst they slept. The door was also slightly ajar so she could peak in. Yes, both people were asleep in the room. She grinned and opened the door. It creaked slightly, but did not wake the two. She walked over and with her mouth tore out the throat of one of the sleepers. This of course disturbed the other and they came awake, but before they could properly react Sinali leapt onto them and with a quick motion snapped their neck. "Sleep well Misters." she said not even bothering to make a comment that one of the men in the bed, clearly a man judging by the stubble, was wearing lingerie. She didn't care about the living, only the dead. She left the building wiping her mouth to remove some of the blood.

The next house with two people was quite nearby. She felt that going in sneaky was still the ideal way, but she was going to make their deaths a bit more fun. She stroked the bracelet on her arm. "Shhh Mr Snakey. Not yet." she whispered as she got close to the second building. A quick prelimenary search revealed that none of the doors or windows were unlocked, but there was a chimney. Unfortunately, a small amount of smoke was coming out of it suggesting a fire. However, pain wouldn't stop her. She focused and leapt upwards using her insane herculean strength to leap most of the way. She caught hold of a window sill on the second floor and used her strength again to throw herself up landing on the roof with a dull thud. She did not wait, there was no point. She walked over and dropped down into the chimney landing on the fire below. It hurt like hell, but it wasn't enough to stop her. In fact, it gave her an idea. She walked out of the fire her feet burned quite a bit and picked up one of the smoldering logs. This was going to be fun. The bed was once again a double. This time a man and a woman. She stood for a moment deciding which would be more fun to kill with her log and then nodded. She grabbed hold of the man's throat and squeezed hard crushing the windpipe instantly. He didn't even have a chance to scream. The woman on the other hand would die slowly. She crawled on top of her and the woman blinked her eyes open.

"Not now hunny i'm tir...who the hell are you?" she had started off as if she thought her husband was getting frisky, but then saw Sinali.

"I'm Santa." she said with a smile and pushed the burning log against's the woman's mouth. It would burn her mouth and slowly suffocate her. She writhed and moved, but was unable to escape. Slowly her movements slowed and then they stopped all together. She stood up and walked over to the fire place she'd come in by.

She stared at the flickering embers for a moment and then dropped the log just in front of the fire. "Santa always leaves sign." she said and then leapt up the chimney landing on the roof. It would provide a good distraction for people later. For now though she had the third set of targets to deal with. This one had three people in. Slightly harder, but it meant she just had to be more brutal in their quick deaths. This time though she wasn't going to sneak in and instead knocked on the door. Her clothes were slightly smoke damaged. They were already torn and both her hands and legs looked burned. It was perfect. This was also one of the few houses with the lights on. The door was opened by a kind elderly woman who took one look at her and without asking anything invited her in. The two others who occupied the house that date were two young boys. It seemd like they had come to stay with grandma for a few days.

"What's your name young lady?" the woman asked. Sinali turned to look at her and then at the boys.

"I'm Sin." With that her bracelet glowed briefly before a sword formed in her hand and she decapitated the grandma instantly. The boys stared for a moment and then began to scream. "Catch." the girl said and threw the head at one of them with enough force that it knocked them off their feet. The other began to run, but Sinali dashed forward and with an upwards strike cleaved the boy in two from groin to head. The other one had just gone up. "You didn't throw it back. You're out." With that she stabbed the boy through the head. The sword glowed and returned back to its bracelet form.

    "Good Mr. Snakey."

Sinali was about to walk out of the front door when she had an idea. She picked up the grandma's head and drew, in blood, a rough approximation of the Savage Skull guild symbol on the wall. She'd left the fire in the second house and the guild emblem in this one. What she would leave in the next one she didn't know, but she was sure she'd think of something. She skipped along happily to the next house. If she'd been the type to sing she would of broken into a song. She was very happy with herself so far. This house too had three people in it, but all the lights were off. There wasn't a chimney either and all the doors seemed to be locked. However, she did find a way in. The house had a cellar and it had one of those outside entrances. There was a padlock and chain on it, but the chain was pretty much only held together with rust and easily snapped under her strength. She entered into the basement silently and walked up the stairs. They creaked, but if the creaks awoke someone it was too late to stop. As she entered the first room she saw it was empty entirely. The entire downstairs seemed to be deserted which meant the people were upstairs.

She sat down for a moment on one of the chairs and began to ponder the most fun way to go about this. She walked up the stairs with a smile on her face. An idea had come to her mind when she'd seen a photo of the family downstairs. She walked into the child's bedroom. They were a baby and there was a sound lacrima inside functioning as a baby monitor. Sinali smiled and walked over to the child and poked it. Instantly crying occured and Sinali slid down under the baby's crib. A man walked in yawning and walked over to the child.

"What's up little man?" he asked picking up the child and Sinali just waited. The child eventually settled and was put back into the crib. The man leaving. Sinali nodded and moved the crib a bit disturbing the child again. This time a woman came in and soothed the baby. The third time though both came in. "What's up with him?" the man asked. The woman shook her head confused and then Sinali moved up from under the bed.

"Maybe he's scared of the monster." she said. The two seemed stunned for a moment, but were about to react until Sinali picked up the child. They didn't know how to react. "Are you scared of me little boy?" She asked and then without a word she threw the baby upwards causing them both to lunge forward, but before they got next to her she caught the baby and tore it in two. "Oops. Did I break him?" The woman screamed and the man charged forward, but Sinali dropped down and swept out his legs. As he fell she activated Mr. Snakey once more and impaled him. She shrugged him off pulling out the blade and walked towards the woman. The woman stepped backwards and fell to her knees.

"This can't be real." she sobbed. "It can't be. Its a nightmare" Sinali just smiled.

"Of course its a nightmare, but who said it isn't real?" With that she walked forward and impaled the woman between the eyes. She nodded and left the house through a window. Lights had began to show up in the other houses. It seemed the screams had alerted people. The fire also seemed to have started to flicker in the other house. It hadn't quite started burning the outside, but her sharp eye could see the glow from within was not light, but that of fire.

She had to thin their numbers now with them becoming so alert. It was time to attack the biggest house. The one which she sensed an aura of strength from. It had six people in and judging by the lights now on in that house it seemed that all of them, or a majority were awake. She ran at the house and leapt through the window conveniently straight onto someone's back. With hesitating she snapped the neck and now there were four others in the room. One of them had a sword at his waist and seemed the strongest.

"So you're the one causing the screams." he said matter of factly. As he drew his sword. It was a long sword. "Who are you?"

"I'm Sin and this is Mr Snakey." she said and focused so the bracelet glowed once more and formed the sword in her hand. She lunged forward, but was blocked, though only barely. The man seemed surprised by her strength. She leapt backward and then lunged forward going to thrust at him, but he parried it. She smiled and simply focused causing the weapon to go into whip form. It reached just long enough to stab one of the watcher's through the throat.

"This one is strong. Go get Paul." the swordsman ordered begrudgingly. He didn't seem angry that someone had been killed in front of them. He was a true swordsman and did not allow his emotions to overcome him. "You will pay for what you've done girl." Sinali just shook her head and swung out her free hand. Her arm stretched and the fist turned into a spiked ball of bone that hit one of the other watchers killing them as well. Now only one watcher remained. The other had gone to find this Paul. The man's eye twitched and a vein pulsed on his head. It seemed he was losing control of his emotions. "You are evil. How dare you attack those not even involved."

"Beati Mortui." Was Sinali's reply. The man knocked her back using his size and weight to his advantage, but Sinali was not one to give up easily. She dashed forward and swung the blade again. This time when he blocked she focused and the whip curled around the blade. She grinned and tugged the weapon out of his hand. "Good night." With that she punched upwards and sent him flying into the ceiling where his head hit. She leapt up and as she did so retracted the blade and used its sword form to slice him at the waist. He was definitely dead now.

As she hit the ground another man walked in. This one seemed younger, but his aura of strength was stronger. The watcher with him saw the devastation. He was an old man. His entire family had been killed in front of him. He charged at her before the young man could stop him. Sinali stared and then just swung her sword and decapitated him.

"How dare you kill my family." The boy said his eyes glowing with energy as he drew a pair of twin short swords. A two blade wielder an interesting opponent. He charged forward. Sinali too charged forward and the two of them collided. He was a lighter opponent, but seemed more skilled. He used the first sword to block her and tried to use the second to stab her, but it wasn't good enough. She moved her hand in the way and the blade pierced through her hand getting stuck inside it. She grinned at his look. He seemed shocked and surprised.

That surprise was all she needed she pushed at him and managed to shove him back and made him stumble. As he fell the sword came out of her hand and she swung her own managing to slice him once across the side as he rolled to try and avoid it. He leapt upwards and swung his bloody sword at her, but she swung her own and used its one spell causing it to become stronger and the sword snapped. The spell had used the blood that soaked it to harden and sharpen itself making it enough to break the boy's weapons. He lashed out with his sword, but she moved back. The blade slit her across the throat and she tilted her head. "What are you?" he asked.

"I'm just a pretty little girl." she said. He backed away and stumbled falling over. She picked up his brother's sword and leapt at him and impaled it through his skull. The sword had a blue handle with hilt like wings. IT reminded her of a famous sword. "Now the sword can sleep again...forever."

Sinali left the building and swept out her arm. Wings formed on her back and she rose into the air. People were now running about like headless chickens. A few had run towards the magic council base nearby. She didn't want to risk going near there so she would deal with the ones trying to put out the house that was on fire. It was perfect. She flew down at one and stabbed them from above causing the rest to scream out in shock and fear.

"Its a demon. She started the fire." one of them shouted. Sinali smiled and flew across the ground and stabbed them upwards through the jaw. The other two began to run, but Sinali dashed at one and swept her sword forward. It extended into its whip form and whipped the head off. She leapt forward and soccer kicked the head into the other knocking them to the ground. She flew upwards and then dropped down like a rock on top of them. The force was so great that it shattered their skull when she landed.

"STOP RIGHT THERE." A voice shouted and in the distance she saw white cloaks approaching. She'd taken too long. Without hesitation she flew off at top speed. Sadly, some had survived, but she was sure she'd killed enough.
