Personality:
Syrene is a quiet but observant person. She tends to notice things most other people wouldn't pay attention to. Syrene thinks that part of this is due to her love of poetry. To write poetry, you need to be able to find the extraordinary in the ordinary and be able to pick up on details that others miss. Syrene hates when people read over her shoulder; she finds it rude and excessively nosy. Syrene tries not to judge other people based on appearances or first impressions. She would like for others to take time to get to know her before judging her and she tries to extend that same courtesy to others. Syrene doesn’t display her emotions all the time, and even when she does it’s often a shadow of what she’s really feeling. This is especially true when it comes to negative feelings like anger, hate, and jealousy. Syrene prefers to keep these emotions hidden and bide her time before acting on them. Syrene believes that letting her emotions govern her actions is the best way to get herself, or the people she cares about, killed. Syrene tends to smile and be polite to everyone she meets. She’s not exactly charismatic, but being nice tends to make fewer enemies than being rude does. It takes Syrene a while to truly warm up to people, but once she does she starts to relax and show more of her true personality. Syrene's friends are very important to her. She considers their lives to be just as, if not more, important than her own.

Syrene is a follower by nature. She prefers to lend her support to her teammates instead of being the one calling the shots. However, if no one else is willing to step forward, Syrene will take command temporarily in order to complete an important goal, mission, or objective successfully. In battle, Syrene will follow the orders of someone she trusts or respects, but she would never follow anyone blindly. When she is in a group, she tends to follow the orders that the group as a whole is following. There aren't many things that set Syrene off. Because of this, she is difficult to provoke in battle. She prefers to make calm, logical decisions that won't put herself or her comrades in a bad situation. Syrene knows the limits of herself and her magic very well, and uses that information to help her make decisions. Because of her analytical nature, Syrene has trouble making split-second decisions. Syrene will not hesitate to run if she finds herself alone and in an impossible situation, especially if running is the best tactical decision. She is not interested in throwing away her life needlessly if there is another option. That being said, Syrene will not leave someone she considers to be a comrade behind. Syrene prefers using defensive spells or spells that hinder her enemies, but she is fully aware that she'll never be able to win a battle without offensive spells.

Likes:

• Quiet: Syrene isn't bothered by silence; to her it's calming and relaxing. She enjoys being alone with her thoughts without any distractions.
  
• Poetry: Syrene loves reading all types of things, but poetry is her favorite. When she has time, she likes to write poetry about nature, people, and her experiences.
  
• Sweets: Syrene enjoys eating sweet things, especially if there's frosting on it. The only sweets she doesn't like are sweets with nuts or coconuts.

• Arrogant people: Syrene believes that actions speak louder than words. People can talk about how great or strong they are, but their words are meaningless without actions to back them up.
  
• Bugs: Syrene dislikes bugs and believes that their only purpose in life is to be squished. This is especially true for bugs that can sting or have multiple sets of legs.
  
• Nosy people: Syrene is a fairly private person, and she doesn't like people interfering in her business without a good reason. She dislikes people looking at her poetry without permission most of all.

• Independent: Syrene doesn’t like having to rely on other people because she couldn't do something herself. This motivates her to work hard at anything she thinks could end up being useful in the future.
  
• Magic: Syrene loves her magic and is intrigued by every aspect of it.Her magic is a vital part of her, not just a tool to use in combat. Syrene wants to explore everything her magic is capable of, and because of this, she grows naturally as a magician.
