Trafal thinks of his self as a quiet person. He loves to sit around and daydreaming rather talking to his companions and can't start a conversation. He like to play around when it come to battle but get serious when his companions get injured by his enemies , Trafal doesn't think good of in rushing into fights without thinking. He believes to always look for a reason first. He is a man with many talent. His talents include lock picking, hand-to-hand combat, weapon expert specialist, professional shooter, and many more . Despites his quiet character, he always cared about his companions and really look up to Gray.
On his past, he is sadistic and known to be a man with no heart. Always finishing his enemy and he did not care about other people, regardless of their sides. He treats his enemies and allies the same. On his past, his only goal is to attain much greater power and willing to do anything to achieve it. But everything was change when he was defeated by Gray from Fairy Tail. The lose opened his eyes and he started to change. However, his background only known by those who involve themselves with the underworld.
Even now, he can be rarely seen on regular occasion, only appearing before the eye of the people when there is need or in certain events. Because of this, it is only known that he is not a talkative person, rather quiet. He keeps his mouth shut, only speaking when there’s need to. All of this because of his laziness. He is too lazy to speak and surprisingly his quietness helps a lot in keeping himself stealthy while spying or doing something related.
Aside than that, he does not like to fight because he will lose many of his energy and he may lose in battle. It is very rare to see him getting cocky and pick a fight, and he is never seen showing any signs of temper or rage unless it is involving his companions. Also, Trafal does not have a smile to carve with his lips, always showing no expression, not even a frown. Because of this, he is unpredictable, and he is a bit frightening, as his actions and his emotions at a time cannot be read.
In a battle, Trafal is shown has a very high level of imagination, using his imagination to make things and manipulate his magic in various way to help him in fights. He is never seen to be acting first, always watching from afar, wondering, daydreaming, and thinking why he should participate in the battle. Sometime Trafal can be a cunning person, planning tricks on his enemy to easily take the upper hand in battles so he can spend the least amount of energy in battle.
