Vulcan Party (Delvic & Azure)

Delvic jumped from bed, hearing a shriek from outside his injuries tingled, from before but he tore through the inn. A woman stood terrified in the door way, as Del toppled down the stairs, “Damn those things” he muttered before running into the woman. He tried to push past her but she wrapped her arms around him and wouldn't let go “You can’t” she wailed “you’ll get, hurt.” Del tried struggling but it was no good. “By what?” he almost yelled. “Vulcan’s!” she replied hushed. Delvic froze trying to think of the large primates that terrorized this region.

“I can take them” he thought, with the adrenalin wearing off and his wounds stiff and sore, he nearly toppled over. “Are you hurt?” the lady asked, worried for the poor little boy she had just protected. “Don’t worry about me what happened?” He asked dismissive. She clammed up then “it was just some food, no worries, a delivery to the market here, that’s all.” She tried smiling, but Delvic smelt the lie. “This isn’t the first time is it?” He stated more than asked. The woman broke down crying then, “if this goes on soon we’ll all starve,” she cried. Delvic grew pale knowing that Vulcans were tough to begin with and taking them head on wouldn't necessarily be the best idea, but his morality got the better of him as usual.

Delvic shifted from the woman’s arms and walked out the door, but at the last second he looked back, “we’ll take care of it.” He said reassuringly. He stiffly jogged after Kayra, and thought back on the earlier events. He had convinced her that there had been no demons and sighed in relief, but knowing that they had been of little use made him feel only worse. Delvic staggered through the door way holding his clothes as he pulled his shirt up and over his shoulders. He grunted and pulled his hood up trying to hide the fact that he was not in top form. The whole ordeal made him feel like a child again he could have used his magic more wisely, generating two at least maybe three demons that would have taken Fear and buried it themselves, but he had panicked instead.

Del was shaky as he jogged up beside Kayra, and her prisoners. “What are we gonna do with them?” He asked, once they answered the question. He looked at Kayra certain that she knew they were likely walking into a trap, and of course doing it anyway. Delvic shuffled his feet, scared that he was holding Kayra back with his antics, her magic had been what had saved them both, and he had just put them in more danger.

Delvic looked to Kayra, and whispered, “So, my turn?” He then looked into the clearing and went to work he could clearly see three Vulcans within the confines and no telling how many more in the trees. Delvic closed his eyes and inhaled, only to open them and revel that they had turned red. He looked again. Two more were within his vision hiding in the trees. Delvic smiled, "we have another due east, around the clearing, can you handle it?” he asked teasingly. Delvic turned on his own though, and swept his hands around birthing a creature of wood, who took off around the opposite direction after the other.

This creature whipped from tree to tree its small agile form lending itself well to its purpose it could feel a twinge in the back of its mind lending it direction, the best word to describe it was a “light” leading the way. It smelt the furred creature before it saw it and stopped for a moment to be led toward the right action, but all that came was that it needed to not be seen and that it had to get rid of the fluffball. It lent itself to its work.

Delvic shifted as he heard the amethyst sink into the tree beyond and turned to see the eighth Vulcan, “damn!” he thought to himself he hadn’t noticed it before, he had hoped to put his new skill to good use, but apparently had a long way to go in its mastery. He looked at the monkey and stepped from the bushes, pulling on his magic to create a beast, and sealing it the same instant. Drawing forward a larger than normal sized bow. Delvic stood and rounded on the huge ape, an arrow growing form the shaft of the weapon until it touched the string, in one motion he drew the slim and deadly figure back and released. The arrow thudded into the monkey with no visual effect, “dang if I could have a coat of that stuff” Delvic thought to himself, and dodged underneath the monkeys fists. The ape only let out an annoyed grunt as the tooth pick poked at its fur and it swung at the little “pig”, not needing to bother the others.

The plant like form whipped about reaching the Vulcan lying in wait, but never allowed for it to call out reaching out with its vine like appendages and grappled with the bulky giant. The great ape reached about wildly and continued to struggle as the vines entwined about its throat, crushing the breath from the monkey.
