Night VS Equip. Which is greater?

Neko had been gone a while on a mission but he was back. That mission was totally boring for him and he was read to fight. He had been out of the fighting ring for a while but he knew he would be able to do it. Neko signed up at the arena for a random fight so he had not a single idea who he was fighting. He popped his neck and fingers waiting. He sword strapped to his back he was ready. Lets hope his foe wasnt to strong.

Signing up for the arena is a great way to hone your fighting skills, provided the one you fight isn't fifty notches higher than your current capacity for magic. Hopefully that wouldn't be the case for Shaku's next opponent in the ring. After he signed up, they let him into the colossal Colosseum to fight against another mage who didn't appear to be too powerful at first glance, but then again, you couldn't judge a book by its looks. He smiled at her and the referee yelled "GO!" In an instant, he held out his right arm as if holding a gun, and it appeared, Laruna. Before the referee could even get out of the arena, he fired off three rounds directed at the man's forehead, solar plexus, and lower stomach area. The battle had begun.

Neko was drawing his sword when the referee was saying go. He thought his opponent would be fast and he was right. He was smart because before the ref started he cast Star Jumper. Neko disappeared the second the bullets where fired. When he re appeared Neko was behind his enemy and nekos sword was at his neck.Huhhh trigger happy. What an excellent way to get your self killed. Neko disappered again but as he disappeared he aimed and cut his foes chest. Not to hurt him just to annoy him then reappeared on the other side again.

Shaku had a gun while his enemy had a sword, he had the advantage before he saw the man disappear and felt the cold chill of steel before another sound, two... he thought before seeing the man in front of him swing his weapon at his protected chest, scratching the plate but barely doing any kind of damage.three... he thought after the man disappeared again, appearing behind him, it's the only place that was logical to go. Assuming he'd go back, Shaku had already began swinging his entire body to the right, swinging the hand holding the weapon towards the guy's head. If he ducked, it was okay, because then he would keep going in the direction he was going to come around with a leg sweep.

Neko was going to strike from behind thinking it would catch him by surprise, but he was expecting that and Neko got knocked in the face and on his back. Neko being a bit stunned stared at him. Well well trigger happy is pretty good after all. Neko swung his leg to fake swing at His enemys feet but at the last second vanished and appeared on the other side. Well well looks like Ill have to get serious. I wont need this for now... Neko jabbed his sword into the ground and stepped to the side a bit. Night Style: Dusk Gauntlets!! Neko extended his arms out to the sides of his body and two bright and sparkling purplish black magic circles appear in front of his fists as he balls them. The magic circles each move down his hand, and keep going until they are at his elbows. As they pass through his arms, the elapsed part of his arm are engulfed in the jet black flames. Neko dashed for his opponent and when he got close to his opponent he leaped into the air. Shine Endless Natsu!!!When he was with swinging range landing into his opponent he vanished appeared at his side and swung into his enemy's stomach.

This guy was fast, really fast. But that was through the use of a spell Shaku was hoping would die out sooner rather than later. His gun had met with the man's face and knocked him back a bit, causing a defensive reaction, a feign of a kick towards the back of his legs. That was apparent when the attack was stopped just about it was about to hit and he disappeared once again. Four times already, how many times can he pull that? he thought to himself curiously as he heard the man yelling from across the stadium. Theatrics will only get you so far he thought to himself as he closed his eyes, casting one of his handier spells when dealing with a melee fighter. Scarlet eyes... Shaku thought before opening his eyes wide. They were now much different than their usual black and white color, now they were both a deep red with a grey ring around both pupils.

His opponent now seemed to be moving slightly slower than he was actually moving, allowing Shaku to better see the openings he left as well as exploit them. This mage was now charging at him, so he used the opportunity to create some distance between them and run backwards, firing off three rounds as he did so, one bullet aimed at both his legs and one aimed for the dead center of the guy's chest. Shaku stopped and caused his gun to disappear, out of ammo and he didn't have the time to reload. Instead, he had another weapon up his sleeve, he would fight fire with fire. Extending his right arm, he summoned a spectral sword to it, ready for action as well as giving him a significant edge as far as speed went.

As soon as the enemy was in swinging range, Shaku didn't bother to hesitate swinging his weapon in a downwards cleaving motion, attempting to stop the guy's body with his sword, but instead, he disappeared again, too fast for his eyes to pick up. Shaku soon figured out that his opponent was on his right side, his dominant side, swinging his own sword as his gut. It's a good thing I wen't with a speedy downward cleave or that would've gotten me he thought with a smirk before moving all his weight into his right shoulder and attempting to slam into the man's chest, which was in his immediate area, plus he had his sword right where he wanted it to be.
