Regarding the ranks and positions...

It seems to me that a lot are people are jumping the gun on the S-ranks and positions... That, and a lot are people are starting high, like B and A. Opinions? Comments?

Well we can only have 3 S Ranks plus council and guildless, but I feel it should be reduced to two. Also I think people Applying to be B Rank and up should apply in the position thread rather than A and up.

2 S-ranks? I think 3 is a fine limit. However, those should only be awarded to those who've proven that they're worthy and capable enough to handle it. Hell, I don't think I'm ready yet. >.>

The real problem is that all the newbies are starting off as A and B, or are trying to. And even the newbies that have created their characters recently want a sudden rank up from B to S. I like your idea, but then people would just choose C and ignore D unless they want to start from the very beginning. So... I propose we have people apply for C and up.

We will have examinations to rank up in the future. People still don't really know how they advance in rank, and they are underestimating it. Ranking up to S Rank will be a hard thing to do.

I think from now on people should start at D, and deserve a C Rank if they show us a good application. Everyone that wants B and up will have to register for it. For B rank they will have to show us an excellent application. For A and up an RP Sample has to be sent to the admins to determine whether they are skilled enough to start off that high.

Hrm... I suggest that we get rid of the rank section in the application. We'll judge the application and see if that person deserves D-rank or C-rank. As for the rest, I agree with your points Zeno.

Zeno is smartest person here. I agree with his statement. Why does it feel like I am trying to kiss up- no idea. Anyway, Zeno has a great idea for how it should all go down for applications, thus new rules would have to be added to the character creation section.

I agree, we're going with this method.

As well as the 3 S-Rank limit. It will remain 3 S-Rank. Just like in the anime, there were roughly 4 S-Ranks in Fairy Tail. 1 of them being an Ace. And like this site, it will have 3 S-Ranks, and one of them will be an Ace.

[IMPORTANT] Removal of the template will be required for character applications.

Now we have the problem of ranking up. How'll we handle this? People keep on applying for the rank up, even though they haven't rped much or at all.

We need to set in a time fram, and a RP count for when the rank ups could be considered, so that way no one can just come on, rp once or twice, then ask for a rank up.
A training session showing their progress as a mage, what they are going through to make themselves stronger, I think is a good idea. To have them put in the effort to make their characters stronger, and then go through one more RP-being a test by their guild master or whoever he puts in charge- in order to actually rank up. I think this will do good for trying to get to B and A ranks, but for getting to C and S would probably be a bit different, and not as severe.

In any case there needs to be a show of effort, and them experiencing everything possible for their rank, so a count of their RPs will hopefully get this place more action than what it is getting now.
