Thing's weren't changing. Time was at a virtual standstill, day in and day out. Everything was the same, everything that Simon wanted or desired was just as far away as it had been when he had begun seeking it. He studied the guild below, people swarmed around the glorified tavern like it was a castle. He wasn't sure when he stopped feeling the swelling pride that came with being a member of Fairy Tail, or when the hovel of a guild hall stopped feeling magical and filled with adventure for him. But it had, and no matter what Simon tried the feeling wasn't coming back. He tried to remember the happy times and the memories of when he had first joined but no matter how he looked at it; the guild seemed more and more like a novelty and the novelty had worn off. He didn't feel motivated in the guild anymore, and the guild didn't feel like the deeply connected family he remembered it as. "I think I just need a change of scenery. But that's no reason to leave."

As time ticked by, Simon considered the pros and cons in his head his main concern was that his problems with Fairy Tail were a passing phase and would soon go away but on the other hand he didn't want to wait and find out otherwise. He drummed his fingers on the support beam that hung over the guild hall. These rafters had become a constant haunt for him, and were the only place that had kept the Fairy Tail robust charm in Simon's eyes. They had always been his method of entry to any on going commotion. Be it introducing a new member to the guild, getting the drop on a brawl, or that one time where he and lance had fought Ikuto. He fondly regarded the memories, but the more he thought about them the more Fairy Tail seemed like a gilded guild. It looks all kinds of fun and there are some neat things that go on, but the truth is nothing ever really happens; ever. There was a handful of powerhouses who could always be counted on to get down to business but there just wasn't enough people like that; also the previously mentioned power houses didn't seem to care much about the disarray.

Drumming away at the wooden beam he was sitting on, he humored the possibility that maybe he was just perceiving Fairy Tail as a wreak and that maybe it was a better place then he thought. He disregarded the thought, even if it was true; he was in this to do some good for the world and the guild wasn't pushing him to do that good. If it did not suit his needs, then it didn't really matter if he was misjudging it. He bit the inside of his cheek it was time to move on. He stomached churned at the thought of confronting the guild masters, he felt justified in his reasons but he was worried he would appear weak in their eyes.

He couldn't let himself dwell on it any longer, if he wanted change he would have to inflict it. He fell from the rafters and crashed into the floor, absorbing the impact by strengthening his legs with his high speed magic. His landing sent a loud thud echoing through out the room, some people ignored it thinking it was business as usual but others looked towards Simon. The youngest mage in Fairy Tail, the kid who charged Ikuto, the crazed nut job who was always starting fights balled up his fists and yelled "I"M LEAVING AND NOT COMING BACK!" and started walking towards the door, his face getting hot and sweat rolling down his neck. He could only pray no one would stop him.
