    -Hargeon Town, 12:32 P.M.-

Dressed in her green, white, and gold outfit with black bike shorts on underneath the skirt and Argent Gloves on her hands, Leona also carried her Silver Longsword in its scabbard on her left hip and her Scout Laser Pistol in its holster on her right hip. The Wizard Saint was walking through the sunny streets of the town for the first time since her loss to Medeia... she was apprehensive about doing that because she was not sure how Hargeon's citizens would treat her. She was expecting to be met with contempt at best and anger at worst after what had happened during the fight with Medeia when the purple tentacle was grabbing and crushing people and she did not think to do anything to stop it because she was so focused on trying to pull out a last-second win against the Warlord. Thinking about that mistake made Leona recall the sounds of people being crushed in perfect detail and her guilt flared up again before she regained control of her emotions.

Maybe today would be different and she could be a hero instead of an accidental destroyer.

Leona was in Hargeon Town because she had heard rumors of a group of mages looking for a tome that was said to contain numerous spells that were so powerful and dangerous that they could destroy entire cities if any of them were cast. It went without saying that something of that nature needed to be kept out of the wrong hands because that much power would inevitably be abused. Leona was not tempted to appropriate the tome for herself and use its power in a desperate bid for revenge against Medeia because as much as she detested the Warlord she was not going to destroy everything she was sworn to protect in pursuit of her goal. However, she arguably did not need any spellbook to level cities because she tended to cause calamity just by showing up and trying to save the day... what happened during the Ishgar Symposium and in Hargeon Town was proof of that unfortunate tendency.

As she walked Leona noted the reactions of the people around her, which were not what she had expected. Quite a few of Hargeon's citizens appeared to view her as a hero instead of as a villain, especially the younger people around her age. Quite a few young men were drawn to her beauty and she quickly noticed that their eyes lingered on her chest when they approached and her backside when they passed by. The Wizard Saint's appeal was not restricted to young men because some young women eyed the blonde with interest and attraction as they passed by: at least three of them brought out their iLacs to take a picture of Leona's face before scurrying off in excitement with their prize. Having other young women look at her was an uncomfortable reminder of how Medeia had looked at her, but being admired for beauty was better than being reviled and seen as persona non grata.

Older people too regarded the Wizard Saint as a welcome presence because none of them gave her a dirty look or made reference to the fight with Medeia, but some of them could not quite get her name right. Leona heard herself be called "Leena", "Leanne", "Lenora", "Leonora", and even "Leanna" as they passed by and spoke those names in what sounded like a tone of respect, if not reverence. Those people would be better served by finding someone else to transfer their respect to, but Leona would not complain. Hearing that some people still had a positive opinion of her was something she needed to rebuild her self-esteem, which was slowly coming back after her most recent stay on Lion's Island.

Leona hoped that today she could keep rebuilding her self-esteem and validate the locals' belief that she was a hero. But before she could do that she needed to find somewhere to begin her search for the tome and those who wanted it. Hargeon Town was a bustling place and she had no idea where to begin looking, so she moved at a slow pace so that she did not miss any clues.

“I thought I told you to make sure you weren’t being followed!"
“I swear nobody was behind me! This isn’t my fau-”
    “Lookout!”
An explosion of flame rocked the interior of the musty library, causing many old tomes and books to catch alight in the process! The three men took cover behinds some of the bookshelves, but even they were in danger of igniting before the inferno died down. Through a fit of hard coughs they tried to regain their bearings, though the smoke soon parted to reveal a figure with red hair blazing towards them! One man tried raising an arm, charging up some sort of magical spell! A beam of white light shot from the magical seal in front of his hand towards the girl, but she proved too quick! Sliding beneath its arch the firebrand was soon upon them! With a flurry of quick jabs and dodges she was able to easily overpower the hedge mages within the abandoned arcanium, taking them down one at a time with controlled flame-infused kicks and punches. “Nghh! Screw this! I don’t care what they said the reward was, I didn’t sign on to be burned alive!” One of them groaned as he tried getting to his feet while the red-haired girl was busy dispatching his friends.

“Awe cmon! You guys led me here, aren’t you gonna spill the interesting reason why??” The girl would chuckle as she noticed one of them trying to escape. “Or am I gonna need to beat it out of you?” She’d call out, using a blast of flame from her foot to launch her forwards at incredible speed! The thug only had enough time to turn his head and widen his eyes before Nymara’s blazing fury was upon him! With a furious punch to the gut the girl drove the larger man’s torso straight into the brick wall behind him, completely collapsing in the process while he went tumbling outside the building, straight onto the streets of Hargeon! A crowd of onlookers quickly gasped as the people on the road swiftly backed away from the sudden outburst of violence. Nymara still stood in the smoking hole of the building, looking down on her beaten opponent with a fanged grin. That was before she noticed all the other people staring up at her. “Oh! Sorry guys, just go about your day! Guild business, yeah?” She’d exclaim before descending down to the street with a leap, her long white and red trench coat trailing behind her.

Her target had taken quite the beating, though his groans were enough to convince Nymara she hadn’t done any permanent damage to him. Maybe mentally of course, though there was little she could do about that. Walking up to him Nymara quickly crouched down and grabbed the man by the scruff of his collar, forming a flaming fist with her other hand. “Aight slick, you feeling talkative yet? You had so much to say to your pals at the tavern earlier! What, you think because I was swimmin’ in the drinks I couldn’t hear ya?” Nymara said, interrogating him. Unfortunately the man was too dazed and barely conscious to say anything useful. “Damn it! Think I overdid it again..” She’d mutter, knowing how disappointed Akemi would have been had she witnessed that battle. Her mentor already disapproved of Nymara’s tendencies to cause more damage than was necessary but to light up a library in the process would have made her livid. The twilight dragon loved her books and knowledge after all.

A shadow quickly flew overhead, causing Nymara to look upwards with curiosity as she dropped the man’s body back to the ground. Then she caught a glimpse of a familiar sight. An armored cat with wings descended from the sky, landing upon a nearby street sign as the crowd continued to murmur around them. “I trust you thwarted another dastardly plan, Lady Nymara” He would say in a polite tone, but one that dripped with subtle hints of sarcasm. Rolling her eyes Nymara crossed her arms, oblivious to anything else around her. “I was about to! Now this bastard had to go ahead and fall asleep, so my questions are gonna have to wait. But somethin big is going on here Lucky! I can feel it! These guys claimed to have been hired by some group of people, lookin for some ancient book or scroll or somethin. Followed em to this old library!” She’d nod towards the smoking crater within the building next to them. Lucky raised an eyebrow at her tale but refrained from interrupting until she finished. “Well, I scouted the area as you instructed beforehand and I did not notice anything unusual.. Except.” Lucky trailed off, a smirk forming on his lips. “There is a certain individual nearby, one who may not take a liking to the ruckus you caused.” With this information Nymara looked confused for a moment before her spine froze in place. “D- Damn it! Are the Rune Knights here already? I can explain this destruction, trust me!” She’d begin to panic, though Lucky only smiled wider. “No knights, my lady. Someone else. Someone well known throughout the kingdom and enough to draw a crowd of her own. I believe a wizard saint is present at Hargeon right now.” Those words were enough to make her blood run cold. She had only known one other saint and that was her own guildmaster, Mura. Apparently they were some of the strongest and most well known wizards on the continent, and Nymara was certainly in no position to defend her destruction in front of such an individual. She couldn’t even convince her own mentor of such things, let alone a saint.

“Do try and remember to be polite, my lady.” Lucky would chime in again. “I believe she was nearby, and likely heard your little dance.”

Post by Leona Jarnefeldt 24th February 2024, 1:12 am

Leona walked through Hargeon Town at a reasonable pace so that she did not alarm its citizens or miss any potential clues. Her mind went back to the clash between her and Medeia and she wondered why she had not received any negative reactions from the townspeople. Perhaps they figured that she had done the best she could to salvage a bad situation but had been unable to claim a victory. Or maybe Hargeon's citizens really were angry with her for what had happened to their town but were too afraid to speak out lest Leona decide to permanently silence any naysayers on the spot.

The Wizard Saint would do no such thing. She was not going to silence critics with fist, spell, or weapon just because she was not showered with praise. Hargeon Town's citizens had every right to be angry with her and had every right to voice that negative opinion without fear of retaliation. Besides, if Leona went around killing her detractors she would be no better than a Warlord.

However, Leona was not encountering any critics... everyone around her seemed to welcome her presence.

As she walked deeper into the town Leona spotted more young men looking at her as she passed by and heard some of them wishing they could get a date with her. A few of them brought out their iLacs and took a picture of her face and sprinted away before she could react just like the young women from earlier. She even heard one unfortunate youth get slapped and berated for looking at her after his eyes had lingered on the Wizard Saint's chest and backside a bit too long for his girlfriend's liking.

Just like earlier more than one young woman had found Leona to be attractive... quite a few of them looked at her with obvious approval and a gaze that lingered on her body a bit longer than it should have. She also drew a lone detractor who loudly asserted that her sizable chest was a product of implants instead of nature, but Leona did not bother to counter the claim that was obviously motivated by jealousy. No one else voiced a complaint about her figure, so she let the matter drop and did her best to ignore the glances of young men and young women who were clearly attracted to her.

That state of affairs continued until she saw a commotion in the distance and was snapped out of her mild embarrassment. Dreading the possibility that Armina and Medeia had returned for a second round, the Wizard Saint shifted from a leisurely stroll to running as fast as she could go to get to the scene before lives were lost due to her slowness. Once in motion the people of Hargeon Town appeared as a blur to the blonde as she hurried towards the area where the action was.

She hoped that she was not too late to save anyone.

When Leona finally arrived where she saw the commotion she spotted a crowd gathered around a female mage with red hair that was vaguely reminiscent of Masha's and a strange-looking creature that resembled a cat but boasted several differences from the ordinary housecat, the most prominent of which was the presence of wings. The red-haired young woman was standing not too far away from a building of some sort with a sizable hole in the wall, but the structure itself was thankfully still standing. The blonde looked at the redhead and glanced at the unconscious person lying at their feet, then folded her arms across her chest and made eye contact with the young woman.

"I'm Leona Jarnefeldt. What's going on here?" Leona briefly introduced herself to the other mage before asking an important question in a tone that was calm but still indicated a desire for an explanation. Despite how things looked the Wizard Saint was not going to assume the worst and start the conversation with a hostile tone or with weapons drawn. There were no fatalities that she could see and the property damage did not look to be too extensive, so there was no need to go in ready for a fight like she had done with Armina. However, she hoped that the redhead had a very good explanation for what had happened because the scene looked more than a little bad for her.

Post by Nymara 1st March 2024, 7:58 pm

The longer this cat spoke the more stressed Nym became, if only because the magical presence nearby was unmistakable. Tricking Nymara for fun had become somewhat of a pastime hobby for the exceed, though there was certainly no lie coming from Lucky this time. Her first instinct was to grab hold of the dazed man in the ground, quickly trying to rouse him! “Oi! Wake up, yeah? I didn’t bruise you that badly, did I?” She hurriedly questioned, though the man was still hovering between conscious states. It was just in that moment that the woman in question turned the corner and made her presence known, evident enough by the pure number of onlookers she had apparently attracted. Normally Nymara would be ecstatic to meet someone so renowned and powerful, though she would have preferred it to be under much different circumstances. To make matters worse, the firebrand was still feeling a little tipsy from her trip to the tavern earlier. If she had just reigned in her drinking problem a little this entire situation may have been avoided.

Dropping the man once more Nymara put on a nervous grin. “H- Hey Leona! Before you do anything I’m not the criminal here, this ass started it!” She’d sputter, giving the man a light nod. “I’m a member of Fairy Tail! Was coming back from a job when I heard this guy an’ his mates talkin’ bout some evil plot or some such. Right?? Tell her!” She’d grumble towards the dazed man on the street. As before, he met her questions with pained moaning. “Ugh.. Useless..” She’d mutter. “If I may interject.” Lucky would say, causing Nymara to raise an eyebrow in his direction. “I believe my companion believed what she heard. There were two others with this man up in that abandoned library.” The knight would say, looking up at the crater Nymara had left. “It appears the floor was boarded up at one point in time, and nobody thought to maintain its knowledge.” Lucky stated, trying his best to smooth over Nymara’s fumbling. She really wasn’t the best with conversations, especially with those so high above her own status. Lucky however had much experience talking to nobles, and from what he knew about the Wizard Saints in his short time within this world is that they were deeply venerated individuals. Finally he would bow his head in respect to Leona. “It is truly an honor to meet the guild master of Silver Wolf in person, my Lady. I never thought that day would come.” Lucky would proclaim, lifting the metal faceplate on his helmet to reveal his orange face.

“Of course none of what you’ve heard should excuse my friend’s excessive force in this matter, though rest assured she already has a savings for incidents like this.” The knight stated, looking back to his red haired companion. “Eh? Didn’t you just say it was abandoned?? Who’s gonna care about repairs?” She’d chuckle, though it was clear from the expression on Lucky’s face that he wasn’t impressed. “I suppose we could ask Lady Akemi how she feels about this matter. After all she was ‘very’ impressed by your little actions in Cedar.”
“N- No need for that! Of course I’ll cover the repair cost.” She’d panic at the thought of getting her mentor involved. She was already caught red-handed by a wizard saint, she certainly didn’t  need the ire of her master as well.

Sighing Nymara returned her gaze to Leona hoping that the saint had been convinced of their explanation. “Either way, there is something going on here. This genius certainly ain’t the brains of the operation. He was hired, and I wanna get to the bottom of this before somethin’ unsavory happens, yeah?” She wasn’t sure if Leona would accept her reasoning seeing as she had little in the way of proof. “I- If you wanna still escort me to prison till my debt is paid, that's fine, but at least let Lucky be free to continue the investigation. He ain’t do nothing wrong.”

Post by Leona Jarnefeldt 4th March 2024, 3:50 pm

Leona kept her mouth shut and her ears open as she listened to the redhead state her membership in Fairy Tail and explain the situation she was in... or try to explain, anyway. The Wizard Saint got the impression that the unconscious man was part of some shady dealings that the redhead had interrupted, but the young woman's explanation was not the best because it was missing some key details. That was when the cat-like creature stepped in and began speaking to the Wizard Saint on the other mage's behalf.

It was much more articulate than the Fairy Tail mage and filled in some missing details like what the building behind the redhead was and what might have prompted the man to pay the building a visit. After that explanation it gave her a gesture of respect, one that Leona accepted with ease despite her discomfort deep down inside. The blonde felt that she was just a paper tiger who was propped up by a fancy title, but she needed to be a hero the public could look up to despite her high-profile failures and personal flaws.

"It's nice to meet you too." Leona told the orange cat-like creature in a to-the-point manner with complete sincerity. Her social skills were not the best and anyone who knew her for any length of time could testify to that. Still, she was pleased to meet the polite and articulate creature and it had provided her with much-needed clues about what was going on so that she did not attack an innocent mage based off of a misunderstanding. Reining in her desire to avoid a repeat of the clash with Medeia by being aggressive from the get-go had paid dividends in more ways than one, but one of the chief benefits was not alienating a potential ally. Another one was not drawing the wrath of Serilda Sinclair, Mythal Ragnos, Mura Kensho, "Lady Akemi", or a combination of the aforementioned individuals down on her head.

Leona listened to the redhead and the creature talk back and forth about paying for the property damage and heard about someone named "Lady Akemi", a name the blonde was not familiar with. She let the conversation continue without her input and eventually got some confirmation that the rumors that had prompted her to visit Hargeon Town might have some truth to them. The redhead then stated that she was in town to investigate the same rumors that had drawn the Wizard Saint here... once that statement was finished Leona finally spoke.

"I'm in Hargeon Town because I heard rumors about the same sketchy business you're looking into and wanted to see if there was any truth to them. I was looking for clues when I saw the commotion and hurried over to see what it was about." Leona stated the nature of her business in Hargeon Town and what had led her to the redhead. If the Fairy Tail mage really was investigating the same rumors the Wizard Saint was looking into perhaps the two could work together. Leona would gladly lend the redhead a helping hand if it meant preventing another tragedy from befalling Hargeon Town. However, she would wait and see if the other mage had any inclination towards joining forces before making such an offer.

The Hunt For The Tome (Nymara) Empty Re: The Hunt For The Tome (Nymara)

Post by Nymara 15th March 2024, 7:13 pm

Throughout most of the conversation between Lucky and Nymara Leona had stayed mostly silent, observing the two as they spoke. This wasn’t lost on the firebrand, who had gotten used to such reactions from many others when she and the exceed started forgetting that other people were around. Regardless, Leona didn’t appear to be overly concerned about the damage Nymara had done, or at least that was the impression the dragon slayer got from her. Not that Nymara was known for reading people, but something told her the wizard saint would already have more important business than worrying about a busted up building. After all, Hargeon wasn’t exactly the crime capital of Fiore, so what reason would Leona have for being here? It didn’t appear as though Nymara would need to wait for her answer however, because as soon as Leona responded her reasons became quite clear.

“AHA! I knew I was onto something! If our friend Leona here has heard the same rumours there must be a danger in Hargeon nobody’s aware of yet. Well, aside from wherever these rumours came from I guess.” She snickered. “You guys gotta do a better job of keeping a lid on your operations, yeah?” Nymara would say with a fanged grin towards the unconscious man on the ground. “This is still quite concerning news. If information about this plot has spread then that only means it must be ambitious. It would not be a good idea to let this rest.” Lucky would interject, musing aloud while he had been thinking. “At any rate, it would appear as though our goals may be aligned, Lady Leona.” Lucky would chirp, looking towards the saint. “Allow my companion and I to pay back this excessive destruction by helping you root out these nefarious ruffians before their plot can come to fruition.” He would quickly straighten his back and put a hand to his chest, bowing his head. “By my knight’s honour, I swear it.” He would say. Nymara stared at the exceed with a small chuckle, finding his boasting as a knight to be quite entertaining. Still, she couldn’t deny the truth in the exceed’s words so she would look back to Leona with a smile. “Cat has the right idea, maybe we could work together on this one, aye?” She’d respond with a fanged grin before a look of sudden clarity washed over the firebrand. “Ah, I just realized we haven’t even introduced ourselves yet! I’m Nymara! This is ‘Ser Lucky’ as he enjoys calling himself.” Nymara would say curtly, causing Lucky’s eyes to narrow somewhat in her direction. “I apologize for not saying anything sooner, my lady. It completely slipped my mind when I heard of your presence.” Lucky would confess, prompting a light eye roll from Nymara before she spoke up once more.  “Great, now that we’re all introduced and friendly should we get goin? Won’t be long till whoever hired these goons realize their plan failed.” Nymara would say, getting a little antsy. Lucky would turn to his companion. “And where do you suppose we start? This one won’t be awake for a few hours by the looks of it.” Lucky would say in reference to the bruised man. “An’ he had friends, didn’t he? They were searching that ol’ library so my guess is that’s a good a place to start as any.” She’d say with a shrug. “Oh damn, those two are probably long gone by now, eh?” She’d say with a nervous chuckle, looking back up to the large hole in the building.

After inviting Leona to follow, Nymara would make her way back up to the top floor of the old abandoned building towards the library. “So uh.. What exactly did you hear? Man from earlier said he was looking for evidence of some sort of book or tome. Not quite sure. It’d be too much to hope it would just be lyin’ around this library, right?” She’d laugh as they ascended the stairs. These things were never that easy. “I also don’t know much about ya’ to be honest.” Nymara would also say as they continued upwards. She knew about the wizard saints and their order through reputation, but aside from her own guildmaster she did not actually know the identity of most of them. That was entirely her own fault however, as Nymara rarely consumed any type of news or info about the world beyond unless it involved her own small corner of it. Relatively speaking she was still new to life as a guild wizard, so the main intricacies of guild politics and the wizards behind them were lost on her. Not that she put much effort into caring though. It wasn’t like she expected to randomly cross paths with a saint on her way back from another job. “What’s Leona’s story eh? I know you must got some tales to tell with all the power you possess.” Nymara continued. She wasn’t sure what type of magic the saint used, but she was still excited to see it in action whatever it was. Powerful wizards never disappointed.

Leona heard the redhead introduce herself as "Nymara" and the cat be introduced as "Ser Lucky" and finally gained names to put to their faces. She also heard the proposal that the two mages and the cat work together to investigate the rumors and put an end to whatever shady business was going on in Hargeon Town. Since the blonde had a special interest in protecting this town and also wanted to make up for what had happened during the fight with Medeia the Wizard Saint was going to accept Nymara's help to improve her chances of avoiding another catastrophe.

"Sure, Nymara and Lucky. I'd be glad to work with you to stop the plan before it comes to fruition." Leona accepted the offer to join forces with the duo with complete sincerity. She was not doing it for a public relations stunt... she really did want the help because she was far from the most intelligent or observant mage around. That was why she partnered with Samira on jobs of special importance such as the one in Iceberg where they had to stop a giant ice creature before it could destroy a village they had been hired to protect. The teal-haired mage was intelligent, patient, and observant and she always seemed to have flashes of insight right when they were needed the most. Samira was also no slouch when it came to combat because she could call upon a variety of powerful summons with diverse abilities such as Kukulkan the giant flying snake and a few others Leona could not readily recall the name of.

When asked if she had heard any particular details about the rumors that had brought her to Hargeon Town Leona unfolded her arms and shrugged her shoulders.

"I haven't heard anything more than the rumors you two have heard. I didn't hear any specifics like the name of the tome, the names of anyone looking for it, or anything to add to what little we know." Leona confessed that she had no new information to add. She glanced at the library not too far away from them and gave serious thought to Nymara's suggestion that the trio comb the building for clues before going anywhere else. The Wizard Saint thought that the redhead's idea was a good one because it was a logical place for the tome they were seeking to be hidden. Perhaps there was a hidden section of the library in which works too dangerous for the common person to get their hands on was kept.

"I think we should start at the library too, Nymara. I'm thinking that there's more to it than what's on the surface." Leona seconded the Fairy Tail mage's idea. Unless Lucky had a better suggestion the Wizard Saint was willing to go along with the redhead's idea because of how logical it was. That might make the Wizard Saint look lazy or make her look like she was a subordinate of the redhead's, but the blonde knew that she was not the sharpest tool in the shed and needed help with some of the finer details of an investigation. Nymara and Lucky would be a big help in that regard, but they seemed capable of holding their own in a fight too, so Leona might not have to worry too much about the pair.

"I have quite a few exploits worth talking about, but they'll have to wait, Nymara. I might tell you some once we stop the shady business that's going on." Leona confirmed that she had exploits that provided plenty of material for stories but politely suggested that telling them be put on hold until the business that had brought the trio here was taken care of. Leona hoped that the redhead would not be too upset by that idea because the blonde got the impression that the Fairy Tail mage held her in high regard. The Wizard Saint did not want to disappoint the other mage by showing who she really was, so the former would have to act like she had a working brain and pay attention during the search of the library... and not hesitate during combat if any came up.

Post by Nymara 13th June 2024, 3:21 pm

As the two wizards progressed their way up the stairs Leona didn’t seem super inclined to speak about her own adventures. Not something that entirely surprised the firebrand, as she had been used to that sort of treatment with her own master as well. Akemi was as powerful as they come, though the twilight dragon was still reclusive enough to not let Nymara know anything about her history or exploits. Though unlike her mentor Leona made mention that she could say more later, so Nymara had something to hope for at least! Of course, if they did run into trouble before ‘later’ arrived Nymara wasn’t against seeing how Leona handled herself with little knowledge of the saint’s expertise. “You bet! I’ll buy you a drink once we find this book.” She laughed just as the two reached the final steps.

The door to the old library looked like it had been busted off its hinges, with many broken planks of wood lying about nearby, suggesting that the doorway had been boarded up at some point in the recent past. Inside the old library the light flooded from the large hole in the wall and illuminated the large stacks of books and scrolls. When Nymara came in here the first time she had only been focused on stopping the three wizards she had followed, she did not take any time to observe the pure amount of stuff inside! No wonder those mooks were interested in this place, there was certainly a lot to go through. “Ah, you made it.” A familiar voice chirped from a darkened corner of the room, the armoured exceed already flipping through the pages of a random book. Using his wings Lucky had simply floated into the library through the large hole Nymara had created, saving the feline some time climbing up those steps. “It appears there is quite a large amount of content within this arcanium. We could be here for a while.” He’d say with a light sigh, observing the shelves around them. Nymara answered by putting her hands on her hips and looking around slightly, particularly at the charred remains and ashes of the books and scrolls she had already burned beforehand. “Well, on the bright side if it was one of those the bad guys won’t be using it anymore.” She chuckled slightly, though she wasn’t sure if Leona would be amused by her quip, as Lucky certainly wasn’t.

Looking out over the road once more Nymara made sure the man was still knocked out cold in the street. Though it appeared the town guard had finally caught up, arresting the man and taking him to Hargeon’s jailhouse. “Hmm, say do we even know what is inside the book we’re lookin’ for? Or we supposed to guess what these assholes wanted?” She’d ask while watching the criminal get dragged off. “If what we heard beforehand is any indication I would keep your eyes open for anything that gives knowledge on spells, curses, rituals, or the like.” Lucky would respond as he placed down another book and began looking through the next one. “Of course, reasonably dangerous ones. I doubt any criminal group would go this far for the knowledge of basic magic.” He would keep saying. Nymara simply shrugged in response and kept skimming through the pages of the book she had chosen, looking for anything that stood out.

Despite not being super knowledgeable herself about these sort of things Nymara had to admit that whoever this library belonged to before had amassed quite the collection. She couldn’t make heads or tails from most of it, but it seemed to be a large repository of magical knowledge. Everything from potion recipes to beastiaries on creatures she had never heard of before! “Damn, I wonder if Akemi would be interested in this place.” Nymara muttered to herself, the library reminding her of her mentor’s room in Fairy Hills.

Unknown to both Nymara and Lucky a strange magical pressure was resonating within the library. Due to her overall inexperience and still growing power Nymara’s magical perception was not yet sharp enough to sense this presence. However, someone with more mana reserves may notice a strange ‘wind’ of sorts flowing through the pages and shelves. It seemed to center around an object in the corner of the room, which looked like a massive old mirror that was currently covered in a blanket. What would a mirror be doing in an old library anyways?

The Hunt For The Tome (Nymara) Empty Re: The Hunt For The Tome (Nymara)

Post by Leona Jarnefeldt 20th June 2024, 1:07 am

As Leona ascended the stairs that would take her to the library she saw how terrible a shape the library was in. In addition to the terrible state of the door Leona also noticed that the library was a treasure trove of books and scrolls that all appeared to be older than she was. She kept her thoughts to herself as she and Nymara heard the voice of Lucky, who she spotted nestled in a corner of the structure and getting a head start on the search for the tome. The armored feline opined to the pair that their search might not be a quick one, a fact that the Wizard Saint could not dispute.

She thought she saw what was left of some scrolls and books that were best described as "well done", but it took her a few seconds to actually see them thanks to her natural night vision needing time to take effect. When it finally took effect and cut through the darkness the blonde refrained from commenting on Nymara's jest while crossing her arms over her chest to look at the roasted remains. She hoped to find a reasonably intact title page, a fragment of a book cover, anything that could tell her what literary works had met an untimely and fiery demise. However, her effort bore no fruit because the flames that had consumed them had done a good job of destroying any identifying features.

Leona looked up again and heard Lucky make a few suggestions to the pair concerning what to focus their efforts on finding. His suggestions were reasonable ones and the blonde did not see any fault with his logic. Wanting to chime in with her opinion, Leona thought her words through for a few moments while looking at a shelf that had caught her interest. When she was ready to speak she faced towards Nymara and Lucky... she was not sure if they could see her clearly, but thanks to her natural night vision she could certainly see them.

"Lucky makes a lot of good points. If I had to make a guess I'd say that the group would want to get their hands on some powerful destructive spells with dramatic and flashy effects. Spells that could cause an earthquake, summon a huge lightning storm, summon an enormous tornado, anything that could create a display that's about as subtle as a bull in a china shop. Something that demonstrates both the possession of power and the will to use it. Something that commands fear and respect in equal measure." Leona started giving her take on the matter in a fashion that was much more articulate than her usual manner of speech. She was not sure if she was only talking that way to try to impress her companions or if her brain was actually working today, but she was going to roll with it.

"I might be wrong, but I'd think that most rituals and curses take awhile to prepare and quite some time to begin using. I'd also venture to say that the rituals and curses with enough power to be worth using have difficult prerequisites that need to be met first. Those prerequisites might be the usage of rare ingredients, being able to perform the ritual only on certain days or nights, needing the users to possess specific personal characteristics such as having been born on the night of a full moon, or even more requirements than what I listed. I'm no expert on the subject matter... if either of you two can fill in the gaps or offer a reason as to why the criminals might be searching for something other than spells I'm willing to listen." Leona opined, adding the possibility that her modest knowledge could be totally wrong and indicating a willingness to hear what Nymara and Lucky had to say should they want to offer a rebuttal to anything she had said.

"I'm going to start searching the library now. If you find anything out of the ordinary or want to talk about anything I'll be over here." Leona announced while standing on the left side of the library in front of a wooden shelf almost twice her height. She picked a random book with a black cover and silver lettering on the spine, gently pulled it out to avoid kicking up too much dust, and opened the cover before starting to read it. Within a few pages it became clear that the book she was reading was a guide on how to create potions that changed the octave range of one's voice. The blonde frowned and closed the book containing information of questionable use, then gently placed it back on the shelf before finding a slender one with a red cover and faded black lettering with a faded silver outline of a heart.

Leona opened it and skimmed a few pages to learn that she was reading a book on the creation of love potions. The Wizard Saint closed the book and put it back without comment. She was about to reach for a third book when she noticed something that had eluded her until now and that something was a sensation reminiscent of a gentle wind circulating throughout the area. Abandoning her place at the bookshelf, Leona moved slowly and followed it to the best of her ability until the sensation grew stronger.

"Nymara, Lucky, are you feeling this wind too?" Leona asked them while looking in their direction. Closing her mouth and opening her eyes, the Wizard Saint turned away from the duo and began examining the area, looking for anything that stood out like a book that seemed way out of place, a scroll that jutted off of its shelf a bit too far to be natural, or a hidden button concealed beneath a scroll. She did not find any of those oddities, but she did spot something that was not usually found in a library in the far corner of the room. Two things were immediately apparent... it was large and it was covered, but it took getting within three meters of it for Leona to finally get enough information to offer a guess as to what it might be.

"Could this be a... mirror?" Leona asked her companions while pointing to the mystery object with the index finger of her right hand in an effort to direct their attention to it.

The Hunt For The Tome (Nymara) Empty Re: The Hunt For The Tome (Nymara)

Post by Nymara 19th August 2024, 12:04 am

While the search continued within the old library multiple discoveries were being made! Unfortunately for the trio, few of them seemed to have any useful applications to their current venture. The exceed had found multiple books and scrolls of interest, though their contents would need to be studied at a later date. Judging by Nymara’s obvious look of impatient frustration and Leona’s stoic stare Lucky figured neither of them were having much better luck. Still, he kept his composure in the event that something would turn up, even if he wasn’t exactly sure what that would be.

Nymara’s thoughts were temporarily halted as she seemed to be enthralled in an ancient cookbook of sorts when Leona spoke up, responding to Lucky’s suggestion. During her explanation, the young slayer could only stare at her blankly, before her expression broke into a wide-fanged grin! “Something powerful and destructive??? Now that sounds like something I could use!” She’d explain, getting a little too excited. In response, Lucky could only roll his eyes toward Nymara’s misguided aspirations. “Saint Leona is correct, though such magic should be kept out of all hands, especially ones such as impulsive and reckless as yours.” The exceed said with a scoff, prompting a slight scowl from the girl before she went back to searching. “While it is certainly concerning, I fear our theories are correct. I’ve heard of many magical terrorist groups that have threatened this world over the years and nothing they’ve searched for has ever been good.” Lucky would speak in a softer tone towards Leona, being able to see her quite clearly due to his feline vision.

Leona’s thoughts about the nature of curses and rituals brought up a knowing nod from Lucky, listening closely to what the woman had to say. He had never even considered those factors, so it was certainly a possibility that those types of magic would be too slow for their enemy’s plans. Still, they didn’t appear to be any closer to discovering what they were. “You’re certainly more knowledgeable on the subject than me or my accomplice, I must admit.” The knight would start, perusing through another book with half his attention still on the wizard saint. “I understand that experience is a great teacher, and I don’t want to presume but I figured you had that in spades.” The exceed would complement. While it was true he didn’t know Leona personally he surmised anyone anointed to saint status would carry with them valuable magical knowledge, and so far Leona seemed to fit the bill. Nymara for her part looked back curiously, her dragon-like senses cutting through the shadows with ease. “Sayyy, you may be right about that! I have no idea what these jerks were up to, but from the way they were pushing themselves to get here I’d say time wasn’t their friend.” She’d snicker, remembering what she had seen shortly before her altercation earlier. “Safe to say a simple hex ain’t what they’re lookin’ for yeah? Unless we’re only scratching the surface of their ‘master plan’.” Nymara theorized, which resulted in a slight shrug from her exceed companion. “You’re really smart, ya know that?” She said with a nod to Leona with her usual smile, causing Lucky to resist rolling his eyes yet again. Nymara was certainly blunt.

As the magical wind continued to breeze through the shelves Nymara and Lucky seemed completely unaware. That was until Leona spoke up once again, pointing it out. Nymara raised an eyebrow and sniffed the air a few times, only shrugging slightly. “Well, there’s a little draft coming from the hole I created in the wall.” Nymara admitted, but she didn’t really notice anything else. For his part Lucky looked around slightly, not feeling what Leona had but still believing she had sensed something. “I’m not sure, my lady.” He would start, sharpening his gaze. When Leona instinctively turned towards the mirror Lucky and Nymara’s eyes followed hers to the object in the corner. Instantly Nymara’s curiosity was heightened and she walked closer, observing the covered glass with renewed interest. “I don’t know.. Aha! It is!” The dragon slayer responded to Leona’s query as she got closer and with one motion lifted the old blanket off of the object, reflecting all of them in its shimmering pane. After a moment Nymara tilted her head slightly before turning to face the others. “What the hell is this doin’ here anyways?” She’d ask somewhat obviously, though it was clear the other two had no idea. Lucky inched closer to the mirror as well, standing adjacent to Nymara as he peered into it. “Appears to be an ordinary.. Wait, were you sensing something from this mirror, my lady?” the exceed would ask, turning to face Leona once more.

“Something’s happening!” Nymara chirped as Lucky was distracted. Soon the mirror’s reflection of their forms and dusty old library began to morph and change! As if triggered by its discovery the mirror itself gave off a strange magical sensation that could now be felt throughout the entire room! Its reflection, which was once completely normal, had dramatically changed to show a pristine and clean library! Books were organized and stacked neatly upon the shelves, while bright lamps and expensive-looking chandeliers lined the roof of the alternate world, reflecting off the marble floor and gilded walls. The mirror was certainly magic, and it showed a completely different version of the same room they were all standing in. One that looked far better kept and maintained than the current old and abandoned wreck they were watching from. With wide eyes both Nymara and Lucky looked deep into the mirror before Lucky mumbled something. “It looks so real, almost like I could reach in and touch it..” With that statement, Nymara’s expression turned into a sinister smile. “Well, why don’t ya?” She’d say, before lifting a leg and kicking the exceed’s frame straight into the mirror! Much to everyone’s sudden shock, the exceed's yelp of surprise was cut off by the fact that Lucky didn’t faceplant straight into the glass, but simply phased through! The cat found himself standing in a musty old abandoned building one second, and now he was suddenly in a brightly lit and profoundly wealthy-looking arcanium, with the old mirror still there. “It appears as though you’ve discovered some sort of portal, Lady Leona.” Lucky would say with utter bewilderment as he stared at his new surroundings, not sure if his voice was carried by his reflection or not. Looking back at the mirror from his point of view he could see Nymara and Leona standing in the abandoned library through what looked like the same mirror.

“Aha! Nice! I knew we were onto something!” Nymara would say in a giddy tone, lunging straight into the mirror with little care! Thankfully she seemed to phase through as easily as Lucky did, causing Nymara to look at the new room with utter amazement before turning to face Leona. “Seems to work for humans too! Come on in!” She’d invite the saint. Lucky would walk forward a bit, examining the library. It looked almost exactly like the one they were just exploring, just much better kept. “Intriguing. Whoever owns this collection must have known something enticing if he thought it prudent to create a pocket dimension to hide his knowledge. The old library we found must’ve been a decoy of sorts, to throw off the curious.” Lucky would muse. Nymara would sniff the air, not knowing what to make of the new scents hitting her nose. Curiously enough the giant hole in the wall was now absent from this version of reality, which prompted Nymara to peer out a nearby window to see what the outside looked like. She did not see anything resembling Hargeon, but instead, an endless swirling blue vortex, as if the room they were standing in was floating within the void. “Well, ya don’t see that every day.” She’d mutter. “Or that.” Lucky would say, locking eyes with what appeared to be a podium in the center of the room. Upon it lay a single closed book with intricate and unfamiliar symbols. Something that certainly wasn’t in their version of reality. What also seemed to be out of place were the giant imposing statues of knights standing guard around the podium, also absent from the original old library. Without warning the statues would begin to shift, and the lights would dim to a faint blue colour, basking the room in a dark ethereal glow. There were four in total, and they each wielded a different weapon. A greatsword, a battleaxe, a long halberd, and at last a giant kite shield. “Those who seek the truth must prove worthy of understanding it. Show us.” The statues spoke from unseen mouths in unison as their eyes began to glow the same colour as the lights above. Without warning all four of them rushed ahead with the intention of attacking the wizards! Two went for Leona while the other two cut Nymara off from the saint, their weapons glowing with eerie blue magic!

The Hunt For The Tome (Nymara) Empty Re: The Hunt For The Tome (Nymara)

Post by Leona Jarnefeldt 4th September 2024, 9:44 am

Leona listened to Nymara and Lucky talk between themselves while looking at the recently uncovered mirror and thinking back on Zupazu's Executioners, the demon-worshiping cult who had given the Wizard Saint her knowledge of rituals. She did not know the inner workings of the cult and did not want to, but from harsh experience she learned that all of the sacrifices she had found draped across cult altars had all been young women her age or in their late teens... none of them were younger than eighteen or women over forty. Leona also surmised that the cult abducted virgins for their sacrifices, something that sounded like a trite plot point from a cheap horror movie but a detail that had cost many young women their lives.

When asked about what she was sensing from the mirror Leona responded.

"I didn't sense anything special from it, Lucky. I just noticed how out of place it was. You normally don't see mirrors of that kind in libraries." Leona admitted that the fact that it was here that had caused her to point it out, not something unusual such as a magic signature. That statement might ruin the perception of her as an experienced mage wise in the ways of magic, but it was better to admit it now than be revealed to be a fraud when she could not keep producing astute observations or believable hypotheses when they were needed. As she waited for an answer from Lucky the blonde watched Nymara go up to the mirror and felt a sensation of magic that filled the entire room. In addition to that the room began to morph from an old and obviously neglected space into one that was beautiful and exuded class.

Leona was visibly entranced by the chandeliers on the ceiling, which looked much fancier than the ones she had seen in Haunted Castle. She also gazed at the floors made of carefully selected marble and the walls covered in what looked like gold leaf. If Lucky and Nymara looked towards the blonde they could easily see that she was entranced by the luxurious features of the room. It was safe to say that she had never seen anything like it in her life.

Looking away from the extravagant new trappings the space had taken on before her awe at them made her look sad in the eyes of her companions, Leona chose to address Lucky's point, which had suggested that the elaborate protection of the room was put in place for a reason beyond showing off the builder's mastery of magic and their taste for expensive decor.

"I think Lucky's onto something. Whoever built this place wouldn't have gone to all this trouble if there wasn't something worth concealing here." Leona seconded Lucky's statement. Seeing that Nymara was distracted by whatever she was seeing out of a window, the Wizard Saint calmly walked over to it and peered out to see that she and the others were not exactly in Hargeon Town anymore.

Leona was about to comment on the odd sight outside the window when Lucky diverted her attention with a remark about another unusual sight. The blonde turned her eyes towards what had prompted Lucky to speak and noticed that he had spotted a book positioned on top of a podium like it was just waiting to be taken. Leona also noticed symbols that she had never seen before decorating the podium, but she did not have long to ponder their significance because her eyes were soon drawn to statues of knights that were considerably larger than the suits of armor on stands she had seen back in Sombras Manor some time ago. They were also in possession of an assortment of weapons that looked battle-ready, which were a far cry from the dusty old collection pieces displayed in Sombras Manor.

Before the Wizard Saint could make a comment the lighting of the room changed from a normal color to a shade of blue that bathed the space in an unearthly light. The statues also came to life right as a voice challenged the trio to prove their right to claim the book. Leona put her right hand on the grip of her Silver Longsword as two of the statues moved towards her, but she quickly realized that her sword had no chance of punching through the solid armor of her opponents. She would have to use her magic to deal with the towering menaces.

Leona quickly raised her right hand and pointed the index finger at the knee of the advancing suit of armor wielding a two-handed sword with a blade that was almost twice as long as Leona was tall. She prepared a marble of silver magic and fired it at the armor's right knee, hitting it and producing a sound of crumpling metal complete with visible crumpling at the joint. The statue stumbled for a moment before regaining its footing and marching on, but it resumed its advance at a slightly slower rate than it had started the fight using. The other suit, which wielded a sturdy-looking shield, marched past the "injured" one and stopped in front of it, then lowered the protective slab of metal to block any further attacks the blonde might make.

This was going to be more challenging than she thought, but at least she knew how to fight back against the animated suits of armor.

"I don't know what magic you can use, but if it's not very strong against metal you should attack the joints." Leona calmly suggested to Nymara and Lucky. That might have been obvious advice, but she was trying to take the initiative for once. A mage of her caliber was supposed to lead and inspire others, not be useless and force them to do all the work like she had done at the Ishgar Symposium.

Nymara had barely enough time to turn and see the book before the lighting in the room darkened and new voices pierced the air. Her ruby gaze turned away from the window only to witness the four stone statues come to life and charge forward, challenging the two wizards to a test of skill! Nymara could only dive out of the way as the singing tip of one of the statues came rushing toward her, crashing into the wall where she had been standing and causing an eruption of dust and strange blue magic. “Lady Nymara, behind you!” Was all Lucky could call out as he took flight above the battle, seeing the second statue approach his friend from behind with a massive battleaxe, preparing to decapitate the young fire slayer. Her enhanced senses picked up on its footsteps just as the currents in the air changed, signalling the incoming attack. With a swift duck and turn she had just barely managed to evade the axe and with a quick backwards cartwheel across the marble floor Nymara had gained some distance.

The girl briefly glanced at her companion, but to her surprise, Leona was already dealing with her own problems from the other pair of knights, who were relentlessly advancing on her. Despite the initial shock, however, Nymara began to crack a small grin. She was starting to wonder when this investigation would give her a real fight, and even if her opponents were only constructs, the fire dragon was ready to blow off some steam! Not only that but perhaps the girl would get to see some of Leona’s magic in action too! Could the day get any better?

“AH! Watch it there man, ya almost hit me!” Nymara exclaimed as she was forced to step backward again. The halberd knight was already within striking range, and Nymara had been temporarily distracted by her musings. Gritting her teeth the girl knew she’d need to go on the offensive, she just hoped that this magical building had good stability! Without warning the air around the girl began to heat up drastically, the heat causing an updraft around her that made her white coat and red hair flap violently. Just as the halberd backed off and the battleaxe came rushing down the girl sidestepped the blow, causing the ground to shatter where the axe had hit and giving Nymara an opportunity! With a furious explosion, her leg swung up and kicked the knight squarely in the ribs, causing the statute to stagger back from the impact! Once the smoke cleared it had been obvious that her flames weren’t enough to affect the construct directly, but the impact behind them was still noticeable. With the axe-wielder staggered his buddy came in quickly, attempting to skewer the girl where she stood! Nymara leaped over the strike, landing directly behind the statue and attempted to bring her flaming fist straight into his back! The statue was quicker than she had expected, however, and caught her arm mid-swing! With a magical eruption, it brought up its leg, kicking Nymara square in the stomach and causing her to roll backward several times on the floor before she collided with a nearby bookcase! Sending paper and tomes flying as they shook from her impact.

It was in her haze that she heard Leona’s voice again, seeing the wizard saint valiantly fend off her opponents in the edge of her gaze. She suggested Nymara focus on the joints, and the young fireslayer flashed a thoughtful expression. The statue’s armour may have turned red and smoked from the heat of Nymara’s fire, but she wasn’t yet strong enough to melt it directly. Not without time, and time they did not have. However, if she used her strength on their joints it may prove her key to victory. Unfortunately, Nymara had to think fast as within half a second later the upper half of the bookshelf became completely decimated from the cross-cut of the battleaxe, the firebrand just barely managing to duck and roll in time. She had noticed Leona score a successful hit on her target, affecting how one of the statues moved and admired her quick thinking. Nymara would need to replicate such a move, but first, she needed to get in closer.

Lucky was nearby, watching the battle unfold from the air and unsure of what to do. It was clear that he hadn’t always been the most useful when it came to combat, but that didn’t mean the knight wouldn’t try to help his friends. After seeing Nymara crash into the bookshelf he got an idea, flying over to one and hiding between the tomes and scrolls stacked within it. It appeared as though the statues had their attention completely on Nymara and Leona, which gave him an advantage. Just as the axe-wielder continued to push Nymara back he noticed the second one with the halberd circling around, attempting to strike at the girl from her blind spot. When the statue walked directly in front of him however he acted, grabbing onto the shelf and pushing it forward with all his strength! Thankfully the immense weight of the shelf itself did most of the work, the cat just needed to give it that little nudge. Still, he was straining heavily and only barely managed to make it move before gravity took over. The knight could only turn its head when it noticed the disturbance and was caught completely off guard by the colossal shelf clamping down on him! It quickly adjusted and tried to block, but the force was immense and caused the statue to quickly buckle and fall as the dust exploded outward from the crash! Even if the shelf wasn’t enough to stop the statue he had hopefully bought his friend some time. Looking over to Leona he made his way closer, but still trying to stay out of view from the other two knights. His largest advantage was that their focus wasn’t on him, so hopefully he could pull something similar off if the saint needed the help, though something told the exceed she was far stronger than any of the beings in this room and may not even need his assistance.

The shield-bearing armor maintained its guard as the greatsword-wielding armor raised its sword to bring down on the Wizard Saint. Leona saw the weapon being raised and jumped to the left as the shield-bearing armor stepped to the right just as the sharp weapon of its fellow came crashing down on where the blonde stood. She quickly recovered from the jump and spun right, then faced the sword user and raised her right hand to prepare and cast an Air Pressure spell aimed at the right arm joint of the armor. When it was ready she fired a visible horizontal column of compressed air at the joint in question and scored a hit just before it could turn its body to take the hit on its cuirass.

Leona's ears were met with the sound of metal crumpling and she could see a mangled mass of metal near the elbow, but the metallic menace was still able to hold the greatsword with both hands. Before she could cast another spell to try and take the limb out of play the other armor stepped in front of it and lowered the mighty shield, shutting down any offensive options the Wizard Saint might try. That object needed to be eliminated so that this fight did not become one of attrition.

Maybe she could use Silver Blade to try and cut the protective slab of metal in half so that it did not interfere with her as much.

Leona had taken a few steps forward to get in range to use the spell when the shield was lifted and its bearer moved aside to the left in one fluid motion. Next came the greatsword that cleaved the air as it descended on the Wizard Saint. Leona reacted quickly and performed two consecutive backflips to avoid developing a split personality, then landed on her feet and prepared a Wind Bullet spell aimed at the same knee she had attacked earlier. Leona prepared and fired the spell, sending a silver marble racing towards it in the hope of either crippling the limb beyond use or slowing the armor down even more.

To her chagrin the target saw the spell coming and deliberately took a knee to protect the vital spot, causing the Wind Bullet to hit front of the thigh armor instead. A small dent had formed where the spell hit, but the armor's mobility was not affected by the hit. As it stood up the other armor rushed in to help it... Leona heard the thundering footsteps mixed with CLANGing and watched the shield bearer run at the blonde with the shield held outward like a battering ram. Not wanting to be on the receiving end of that hit, she quickly turned and ran to the right to get out of its way, avoiding the rush with seconds to spare. Once the armor had passed harmlessly by she turned and focused on the other one, which was plodding towards her at a fairly slow pace thanks to the knee injury she had inflicted on it earlier.

Leona focused on it and tried to think of a way to hurt it further. She got one when she came up with using her Silver Blade spell on its damaged knee, but getting close to it would be a problem, especially when it was still moving and targeting her. Undaunted by that, Leona moved in and expected it to raise its heavy sword once she got close, but instead it kicked at her with its right foot. She stepped back and barely avoided getting a giant metal foot to the face, but she did not have long to express relief because its partner came thundering up to the blonde from behind.

The Wizard Saint turned to face it and saw that it was trying to kick her as well, so she dove off to the right and rolled to safety as its foot slammed into where she had been standing. Leona recovered from the roll, then faced the shield-using armor and used another Air Pressure spell aimed at the side of its right knee. The spell hit where it was aimed at and the metal visibly buckled from the force of the hit, causing the armor to lurch forward a single step and slam the edge of its shield to the ground to give it something to lean on for balance.

Leona took a moment to call out to Nymara, who she had not spoken to since the fight had started. She had heard the battle from a distance but had not heard anything since a short time ago. She glanced in the redhead's direction and noticed that one of the two armored adversaries Nymara was facing had been buried under a fallen bookcase while the other was still active and still menacing the other mage. However, someone was missing.

    Where was Lucky?

Was he OK or had he gotten into trouble?

"Hey Nymara, are you OK over there?" Leona called out to the Fairy Tail mage while facing her enemies, who were recovering and preparing to attack the Wizard Saint again.
