Personality: A quiet girl who rarely smiles in front of others. She has suffered loss as a child, and now pursues magic as a way to regain what she lost. This has left her driven, but also makes it hard for her to grow close to others. Because of this, and a desire to not be hurt again, she categorizes people in two ways: those that can help her achieve her goals and those that are useless. Those that can't she tends to ignore outright.

The only time she shows positive emotions is with her sister Suki. As twins they were together their entire life, and Saiko sees Suki as her other half. Inseparable. Which does not mean she did not care for her parents, they just always took a back seat when it came to prioritizing people. That, too, defines all her other relationships.

Due to her magic, she is often seen talking with those that others cannot see. This has often left her ostracized by others, and less likely to speak up to other people. She will answer when addressed (unless she has categorized them as useless), but will often go out of her way to avoid starting conversations. It is not uncharacteristic for her to stand in silence during conversations, participating only by existing.

The only way she seems to express herself is through her clothes and the doll she carries. Her clothes tend to be dark, though this is out of practical concern. Better to hide dirt and blood stains. Her doll she carries everywhere, even into battle. It is obvious from the way she treats it that she considers the doll as important as a person, and she would quickly sacrifice her own well being for it. Or the well being of others, for that matter.

Likes:

• Her elder twin sister, Suki, is (or was) the most important person in Saiko's life. Everything she does, she does for Suki.
  
• Graveyards are where her magic is strongest, and thus where she feels most at ease.
  
• Solitude, on the other hand, often becomes her respite from when she becomes overwhelmed by contact with others, living or dead.
  

Dislikes:

• Large crowds of people can cause her to panic, having grown up in a tiny village.
  
• Pushy people annoy her, and usually earn them a place on her list of "people to avoid."
  
• Carrots are gross. Why does anyone eat them?
  

Motivations:

• To find a place to belong. After the loss of her village she had not had a true home.
  
• Growing her magic, as it is the secret to obtaining what she most wants which is:
  
• A secret, for now. Her goals will quickly become evident through story.
  

Fears:

• Loss of a loved one, as she has already lost many. She fears being hurt again.
  
• Being abandoned, as what happened when she lost everyone. Now she avoids growing close to people so if they leave it will not affect her.
  
• Not accomplishing her goals is her greatest fear, and the idea of failing can paralyze her.
