Passport of Unity!
Lysander Drakewood stood in the line at the bustling docks of Hargeon Town, surrounded by a sea of people eagerly awaiting their turn to obtain their passports. As he patiently waited, he struck up conversations with those around him, trying to ease the tension in the air. He turned to the young girl standing next to him, her eyes filled with excitement and impatience. "Quite the crowd today, isn't it?" He remarked with a friendly smile. The girl nodded, bouncing on her heels. "Yes! My family and I are going on our first vacation abroad. I can't wait to see new places!" Lysander's eyes sparkled with genuine interest. "That sounds wonderful! Exploring new places can be truly magical. I hope you have an amazing time and create lasting memories."
The line inched forward, and Lysander struck up another conversation with an elderly couple standing behind him. The couple seemed tired and overwhelmed by the chaos around them. "Are you folks excited for your journey?" Lysander asked, offering them a reassuring smile. The old man sighed heavily. "We're looking forward to visiting our grandchildren in Minstrel. They've been urging us to come for a while now, and we couldn't resist." Lysander's eyes softened with empathy. "How heartwarming! I'm sure your grandchildren will be overjoyed to see you. Traveling brings families closer together, even across great distances." Feeling a sense of camaraderie, Lysander tapped into his magic, causing the ground beneath them to smooth out, providing a more comfortable path for the elderly couple.
As the line progressed, Lysander overheard a young couple in front of him discussing the daunting cost of the passports. They worriedly counted their remaining funds. Unable to ignore their concerns, Lysander approached them. "Excuse me, I couldn't help but overhear. Would a small contribution towards your passport fees be of any assistance?" The young couple looked at him, their eyes widening with surprise. "Are you serious? That would be incredibly kind of you!" Lysander smiled warmly. "Consider it a gesture of spreading goodwill. We should all support one another in these times." They gratefully accepted his offer, and Lysander's heart swelled with satisfaction. He continued his conversations, sharing stories and laughter with those around him, creating a sense of unity in the midst of the chaotic scene.
Finally, it was Lysander's turn at the registration desk. The official, visibly frazzled from the never-ending line, glanced up and saw Lysander's patient expression. "Thank you for your patience, young man." The official said, appreciating the calmness Lysander exuded. Lysander handed over his documents with a friendly nod. "I understand it's a busy day. I hope this brings a moment of respite for you. Take care, and thank you for your hard work."
Leaving the docks, Lysander held his newly acquired passport tightly, but it was the connections he had made and the small acts of kindness that truly filled his heart. With a renewed sense of purpose and adventure, he knew that his journey beyond Fiore would be enriched by the bonds he had formed along the way.
