Name:
Xenokraft Firelance 9400
Grade:
Artifact (+)
Type:
Weapon
Proof of Acquisition: Curious Oddities Scramble
Description:
While most are speculative of the origins of this weapon, and theories range from captured alien technology to magic so advanced it looks like tech, the most widely accepted consensus is that this weapon is of Bosconian make, although it has no such marks or inscriptions to distinguish it as such. It is a handgun of a distinct design, both as far as its structure, and its ammunition, are concerned. Made of an unknown but apparently metallic material (which appears to posses shapeshifting properties), the mounted laser-aim-assistance module, as well as the glowing bands on this weapon, may give it the design of perhaps a toy. But do not let the flashy looks fool you; on gripping this weapon, its handler will notice that the gun's butt adjusts itself to fit the shape of their hand, allowing for better grip and comfort while wielding. It also comes with a holster, which carries 5 power cells, used as ammunition for this strange weapon. Each power cell charges up rapidly when not loaded in the Firelance, and although after seven shots, the gun will need reloading, one cannot hope to run out of ammo, unless they throw their power cells away.
Abilities:
Name: Alien Weaponry
Rank: User Rank (Up to S)
Category: Auxiliary
Type: Passive
Description: When not using any other ability, all normal rounds fired from the Xenokraft Firelance, which appear as luminous, cyan-colored plasma bolts, deal armor-piercing damage. As per the armor-piercing rules, melee damage is halved if they strike armor or shields.
Name: Stasis Vector Rounds
Rank: User Rank (Up to A)
Category: Offensive
Type: Multi Target - Immobilization, Debuff
Damage: User Rank Multi Target Technique Damage
Range: User Rank Multi Target Range
Speed: User Rank Multi Target Speed
Duration: User Rank Max
Description: Designed for hunting and capturing live prey, the Firelance, on activation of this ability, begins to fire incredibly fast and long-ranged, yellow-colored bolts, which, upon striking a target, coat the target in a stasis field, preventing motion for a single post cycle. All immobilization rules apply. Also, after the immobilization has worn off, due to the torpor induced by the stasis field, targets will find their Movement Speed debuffed by a user rank active debuff. All glowing areas on the Firelance will change to a yellow color to indicate this ability is in effect. A number of projectiles equal to the maximum duration of this ability in posts may be fired with it in any given post it is active.
Name: Pulse Cannon
Rank: User Rank Advanced (Up to S+)
Category: Offensive
Type: Single Target - Homing, Drain
Damage: User Rank Single Target Technique Damage
Range: User Rank Advanced Single Target Range
Speed: User Rank Advanced Single Target Speed
Duration: User Rank Advanced Max
Description: On activation of this technique, the Firelance restructures itself into a rifle-variant morph, and begins to fire larger, more robust plasma pulses. These projectiles home in on their targets, and when a target is struck, they receive a 5% drain to their HP for the duration of this ability. The Pulse Cannon can only be used when there is a full power cell in the Firelance. Projectiles home in for a distance equal to the range of this ability and disappear ineffectually thereafter.
