Diary Of A Single Mum Empty Diary Of A Single Mum

How long had it been since she had joined the guild? Time had passed so quickly that she honestly had lost track and as she took a sip of her tea and glanced out of the window, she could not help but smile. The guild had been wonderful to her in the short time that she had been there and Bastila could not have been happier about how well things had gone. To leave her old life behind and start a new one meant so much to her and although she could not help but feel that she was a little long in the tooth for such thoughts, they were pleasant anyway. The news that Sakura had also joined had shocked her somewhat but should she have been surprised? It happened the last time she had joined a guild, why not now? Perhaps it was fate that they followed each other or maybe the blonde just could not let go? Whatever the reason, the elder Kisagami appreciated it.

Sleeping on top of one of the bookcases was Faeya, Bastila’s loyal companion and the source of her magic. The Phoenix had saved her so many times that she could not bear the thought of them being apart again but thankfully that did not seem to be on the cards. The two were bonded together now, for as long as they both lived, which was by no means a short amount of time. As far as Bastila knew, her lifespan now matched her companions and that could be for centuries if not longer. It was a thought that both pleased and frightened her if she was honest and she was still coming to terms with the revelation. Suddenly the whole scope of her life had changed and things that had seemed important before no longer seemed to now.

With a sleepy cry and a flap of her wings, the bird would accidentally knock a box of items that ended up falling on the floor, causing the blonde to turn around and chuckle. For such a wise and intelligent creature, the Phoenix was awfully clumsy and as she set down her tea and started to gather up the books, her eyes fell upon one that she had not seen in years, one that caused the smile to fade somewhat. Turning to look at the cover, she briefly brushed off the dust.

‘The Diary Of Bastila Kisagami”

Those words alone brought memories back to the statuesque blonde and after a moment of wanting to just throw the book out of the window, she sighed and took a seat back on the sofa instead. Her loyal Phoenix perked up, sensing the change in Bastila’s mood and flew down to land beside her, where she would lay her head and gently sing.

With the faintest of smiles, Bastila would gently pet her magnificent pet, before opening the book and starting to read.

The blonde had to laugh lightly as she read through her earliest entries, barely able to decipher them. She had been given her diary at such a young age and before she could even write in full sentences. They were just doodles and childish drawings of how she was feeling at the time. Her childhood had been rather typical in truth and a part of her wished that it had remained that way. Up until she had met her former husband, her life had seemed so simple but after that fateful day, things would change forever. As she continued to read, the diary entries would become far more detailed. It truly was a window into her past and time seemed to freeze as she read, her left hand still resting upon her beloved Faeya.
