New character, so archiving my old lineage
Lineage Name: Lady of the Tome
Wielder: Iroha Ikegami
Purchase Proof: Here.
Note: Submitting this as Statless since I think that's a thing we can do now. Anything that would reasonably require NPC or PC approval prior to use is innately subject to said restriction.
Description
Rather than being a lineage in the traditional sense, Lady of the Tome represents the broadstrokes of who Iroha is as a person. The abilities and gifts presented as the Lady of the Tome lineage is the result of her hard work and study, as well as the personality traits that are staples to her being. As such, they are very stalwart in existence and, unlike her utilization of spells or her creativity with magic, very unlikely to change. Iroha is a person of routine and stability, and the core of her being reflects that.

Plot Abilities:
- Impressive Information: Call it magic if you wish but it is merely an innate gift, Iroha has the ability to read and memorize things that are quite frankly superhuman. She can finish a tome of biblical size within an hour and be able to recall specific information and the page on which it is written afterwards. This doesn’t break any enchantments within books, however. If something were to cause her to forget information, it would fall out of her head like anyone else.
- Flight: The first spell that Iroha ever learned, and quite by accident, was from a torn page of an old book that ended up in her father’s workshop. This is the only spell that does not reside within The Book and instead is something that she can utilize at will, soaring up to the planet’s gravitational limit without incident. She cannot leave the planet’s pull, but as long as there is enough air for her to arguably breathe, she can continue to travel upwards.
- Non-Contact: Iroha has trouble making eye contact with people in most circumstances, and even when looking at their faces, her eyes will wander around. As compensation for this, she has developed the ability to know the location of someone she is currently engaged with (whether conversation or battle) without directly looking at them, within a reasonable degree.
In-Game Abilities:
- Paperwork Expert: Knowing the exact wording of contracts you’re undertaking has incredible benefits. The bearer of this lineage gains +100% jewels to any job, but is able to transfer up to +30% of that jewel bonus to any allies that might join her, reducing her bonus to +70%. In addition, she receives a custom piece of equipment equal to the rank of the job that was completed. Equipment earned this way cannot be sold or refunded to any shop or any other player. [2 Effects]
- Standoffish: Iroha dislikes contact with others she is unfamiliar with, whether in battle or not. After the first attack received in battle, the user receives maximum possible passive damage reduction, a thin shield between her and anything during battle. However, any spells with the piercing effect automatically do additional damage against her the first time they are used. Possibly as a result of her lack of physical contact her base melee damage is much, much less than the average spellcaster of her caliber.[2 Effects, 1 Detriment]
- Encyclopedic Knowledge: After being attacked by a spell or technique, Iroha is capable of working out the components of it (that is to say, what elements are within the spell) which gives her an advantage in countering or negating that same spell within the future in that battle. This is limited to spells that damage her, and doesn’t affect spells that are scattered fully by a shield or are non-damaging. This is still bound by normal neutralization and reflecting rules.[2 Effects]
- Grimoire Convocare: Studying through the requirements of various types of magic, Iroha has learned how to spread magical abilities beyond their intended genre and expand their usefulness to suit her needs. She may utilize two additional Summons in magics that usually do not allow for such, allowing her to rank each of them to H+ as extra spells when possible. Each may only be utilized in one magic and never in the same magic. [4 Effects]
