Leona listened to both "Dewi" and Masha and learned quite a bit from the conversation so far. The Wizard Saint was not entirely clear on some parts of what she had been told, but she had learned quite a bit nevertheless. Leona kept any questions to herself and listened to what her redheaded companion had to say next.
Masha explained what the "warrior monsters" were and told about how they violence had an irresistible pull on them. She then told Leona that Giovanni would find violence alluring the same way the warrior monsters did. The information that any and all children Masha gave birth to would be susceptible to that tendency was not what Leona expected to hear, but it was an unpleasant truth that she would have to come to terms with. Masha had been nothing but truthful to Leona, so Leona would do well to believe the redhead. That unpleasant truth had only one logical response.
"I agree, Masha. Giovanni needs to be watched carefully. I'll also have to start keeping my weapons under lock and key." Leona readily agreed with her companion's suggestion. That information gave Leona more incentive to find and purchase a sturdy weapons locker in order to try and keep her weapons out of Giovanni's hands. However, putting all of her weapons in the weapons locker alone would not be enough... Leona would need to keep a careful watch on the locker key to make sure that it did not go missing when Giovanni got older.
"We should be able to easily watch him when he's small, but we might have trouble when he grows older. People are gonna go after him because of his last name and he's gonna need to defend himself. That's where things are gonna get difficult." Leona chimed in on that particular subject. Masha had probably already anticipated that problem and was trying to factor that into her plans for the future, but Leona had brought it up anyway because every once in awhile the blonde had a logical thought. There was a point to the blonde's remark beyond showing that she could think... Masha needed help with Giovanni and Leona was going to do her best to step up and provide that help.
In the next segment of the conversation Masha confirmed that whoever had "modified" her had the intent to "modify" more young women. The redhead then stated that up to this point she had personally tracked down and eliminated three of the people responsible for what had been done to her. After hearing that Leona made a mental note to do her best to never get on Masha's bad side.
Next the redhead informed Leona that she had also managed to take one of the people alive due to the assistance of a mage whose name was familiar to the Wizard Saint.
"Adalinda helped you? You know Adalinda?" Leona asked in genuine surprise. Leona had heard that name before a few years ago, but "a few years ago" might as well have been a lifetime for the blonde. She was so surprised by the mention of Adalinda's name that she did not hear anything the dark-haired woman had said. In between the information about Giovanni, the fragment of Masha's own past, and the mention of Adalinda's name Leona was a bit distracted, to say the least.
