Name:Murderous MacheteGrade:Artifact (+)Type:WeaponProof of Acquisition:HereDescription:A well-used weapon that was once wielded by a serial killer whose name has been lost to time, the Murderous Machete spent several years at the bottom of a lake before being recovered by a curious teenager who had been swimming in the lake and felt a strange compulsion to dive to the bottom at a certain point. Unable to ignore the compulsion, the teenager dove at the point in question and found the weapon. In a cruel twist of fate, that same night a home intruder broke into the youth's home and discovered the machete. The home intruder killed the youth and his family with the machete, then went on a killing spree that ended only after over forty people were killed over the course of a week.
While the Murderous Machete might look like a rusty piece of junk, it has somehow retained a sharp edge despite resting at the bottom of a lake for several years. The machete is possessed by a murderous malice that allows it to harm both mundane and supernatural targets. Furthermore, its abilities allow the user to cut through armor and magical shields to deal debilitating damage to their target and to temporarily take on some of the uncanny toughness of the machete's original wielder. Whoever wields the Murderous Machete will be a close-combat nightmare for their opponents.Abilities:Name: The Bleeding EdgeRank: User Rank Advanced (Up to S+)Category: OffensiveType: Single Target - Piercing, DrainDamage: User Rank Advanced Single Target Damage + 50%Range: MeleeSpeed: MeleeDuration: User Rank Advanced MaxDownside: Speed and Range are sacrificed in exchange for 50% more damageDescription: When this ability is activated, the blade of the machete glows blood red. The user then swings the machete at the target in a swing that leaves a red arc that lingers in the air for only a moment. If the target is hit, the target takes damage on the first post and suffers a 5% drain to HP every other post after. The swing can be repeated once per post for the ability's duration. The Bleeding Edge can punch through armor and magical shields, but it gives up half its base damage in exchange. This ability can benefit from increases to Strength or Spell Damage, though only one can apply per casting, and the user must decide which applies upon activating this ability. The user gains a passive 25% buff to Damage Resistance as well as a user rank advanced passive buff to Strength multiplied by 2x.
- New Bloom:
Name:New BloomGrade:Artifact (+)Type:ArmorProof of Acquisition:HereDescription:In legends of old, there was a tale of a tree located in Seven that, on every 7th spring, sprouted blooms three to four hands tall, and strong as steel. They were plucked and used as prized shields amongst the locals, leading them to be called the Bloom Brigade. It was a tumultuous time back then, but the brigade was kept safe by their mighty shields of petals.
Sadly, in a twist of fate, while the troops were out protecting their homes, a rogue group from another land snuck in and made it to the mythical tree. They burned it to the ground, ensuring spring would bring these people no more special armor. In time the existing shields were lost or eventually broken, and they no longer had the tree’s blessing to replenish their armories. Eventually, the town faded from existence altogether, but somehow one pristine shield survived and has made its way to you. Honor the old tree by using its last bloom well, won’t you?Abilities:Name: Bolster BloomRank: User Rank Advanced (Up to S+)Category: AuxiliaryType: PassiveDescription: The blooms from this long lost ancient tree have become so enriched with magical power that they have a hardened metal coating. This grants the user a 50% increase to their Damage Resistance in addition to a user rank advanced passive buff to HP.Name: Spring ShieldRank: User Rank Advanced (Up to S+)Category: AuxiliaryType: PassiveDescription: The rose-shaped shield projects an illusionary image of itself around the user, as if they are the center of the bloom. This protects the user at all times, granting them a shield that will always remain active and rebuild itself once broken. This is a regular shield and possesses user rank advanced durability (x3). If broken, the shield will go on cooldown for 1 post before reforming around the user in the post thereafter. The user also receives a user rank advanced passive buff to their HP.
- Selkie Skin:
Name:Selkie SkinGrade:Artifact (+)Type:ItemProof of Acquisition:HereDescription:Off the coast of Pergrande lies an island that holds a small population of fishermen and their families. For generations, people have kept the culture and business of fishing alive, making their livelihoods on the seaside. But, long ago, when the island was first settled, a legend came to be born that was passed down through the generations. The newest generations don't believe in its truth, but this cloak is proof that the legend is true.
Seals used to occupy the shores of this island. When the first fishermen came along, they had to scare the seals away every day in order to catch enough fish. The humans and seals were in direct competition. The rocky harmony between the two species didn't last very long. Fishermen began to kill the seals, clubbing their young and harpooning the adults. As one young man discovered, though, these were no ordinary seals. They were selkies, a magical creature that could take on human form from their usual seal form. A female selkie called him to the beach one night, standing on the sand as a human. In her hands was a piece of perfect seal skin, her own skin that allowed for the transformation between forms.
The selkie woman begged him to cease the killing and make peace between their people. She asked the wrong man, for he stole away her seal skin, forcing her to remain human. He hid the skin and the woman had no choice but to live among the fishing people. The other selkies migrated to another island to save themselves, and she was left with her captors, staring longingly at the sea from her cottage every day. It didn't take long before she passed. A few years later, the man had decided to make the selkie skin into a cloak for his son, forgetting that it was not normal seal skin. It appeared indestructible and gave the boy many fantastic abilities.Abilities:Name: Selkie AgilityRank: User Rank (Up to S+)Category: AuxiliaryType: PassiveDescription: When in possession of this cloak, the user finds themselves automatically able to breathe underwater and move as if they were on land. The user gains a passive user-rank buff to their Movement Speed multiplied by 2x. They also regenerate 5% of their max HP passively once per post, which applies independently of the cap imposed on regens. This reflects the natural protections that a selkie's skin provides to the creature.Name: Selkie ProtectionRank: User Rank Advanced (Up to S+)Category: AuxiliaryType: PassiveDescription: The true magic of the sea channels through the user of this cloak, granting them a passive user-rank advanced buff to their HP multiplied by 2x. The user is also able to see in the dark as if it were perfectly bright to represent a selkie's natural abilities.
