Description:
Each person in this world has had their lives foretold within the Scrolls of Divine Prophecy, every detail regarding it committed to paper by the Divine and stored within its archives as it documented the coming and going of the Worlds. Yet even Divine beings grow weary of their eternal tasks, no matter how much they enjoy doing them; such as happened to the Divine Scripter. In an act of boredom, the Divine tore fragments of the Scrolls and tossed them down into the worlds below for mortals to find, wondering what they would do if they were granted a glimpse at their own lives. Wondering whether these puny beings would live their lives in a different way than it had written if given the chance to change it.
Abilities:
Name: Alternate Destiny
Description: Once per thread allows the holder of the Fragment to actively defy their apparent destiny by receiving a glimpse of the near future that directly affects or impacts their person in their ongoing thread, so they get the chance to act upon the event before it happens, and thus alter one of their pre-destined outcomes. Eg. If a boulder was ‘destined’ to kill them, the holder would see a glimpse of the incoming boulder hitting them, but not what happens around it, or what caused it to start moving. Thus required OOC permission to use when it involves other Player Characters, Player-controlled NPCs, Events, and cannot be used during Lore Events.

Stone, Law, Gravity, Parchment
Description & Appearance:
A small pentagonal stone tablet, small enough to fit comfortably in the palm of one’s hand. A strange crest is etched onto its surface. The symbol consistently glows in a bright blue radiance, and the stone, though little, is much heavier than it looks.
History:
Many ages ago, an ancient civilization was ruled by the god-king Nomos, god of law and documentation, who wielded great powers. Nomos was impartial and given to the ordering of everything, and while this made his reign well-structured and stable, as was expected, his reign was reviled by the more chaotic members of society. One day, employing the aid of demons from the Abyss, the enemies of Nomos attacked his kingdom. They were defeated, but at the cost of Nomos’ life. Desirous to see his empire last far longer than his demise, the god infused all his power into a little stone tablet etched with his divine sign, and gave it to his chief priest, advising him to continue his reign and carry on his legacy. With the god’s powers, the priest, whose desire was similar to his deity’s, kept the kingdom safe and united under his objective, if stout, rule. But humans are known for their entropy, and the priest’s successor was more liberal with his powers, abusing them until he was overthrown in a very bloody coup. The source of his power, however, seemed to disappear without a trace. It is only recently that there have been rumors of a small mystical stone that could very well be the legacy of Nomos.

Appearance:
History:
Desiertan legends spoke of a God who once roamed its sandy oases on the day of his rest, without worry that the sun would go off course. The myriads of spectacles and cultures fascinated this god, and he was content with seeing his people flourish. There he went, disguised as an innocent traveler adorned in simple silk and gold, his wanderlust bringing him through all corners of Desierto. Yet gods are not known to be merciful, but rather, wrathful against those who wronged them with their audacity. Such was the case of a mercantile conglomerate who took advantage of its own people, and of raiders who enslaved the poor and naive. For with light, there's always darkness, and this god witnessed how cruel humanity can be.
Thus he decreed for his retribution to be delivered to his people through their own kin. He had imparted a fragment of the sun to his chosen one, coalescing it into a magnificent golden orb resembling the beauty of Desierto and of the sun. Drinking the morning dew from it shall its chosen be blessed, and the orb become a part of their being. It was decreed that this power shall be passed down to their descendants, or so it was foretold, until the lineage vanished without a trace, leaving them only as stuff of legends.

Description:
The creation of a blacksmith with otherworldly patrons, Bloodseeker came about when a struggling blacksmith perilously close to losing everything made a pact with dark entities... his soul for the ability to create a perfectly crafted weapon. The very night the pact was made both inspiration and a supply of metal with which to forge the weapon came to the blacksmith, who immediately set to work creating the weapon he believed would rescue him from poverty.
Over the next few months, the weapon was forged in the image of the inspiration he received as part of the pact. A double-headed ax with the detail of a screaming human face was the end result of the blacksmith's labors. Within days of the weapon's completion, a stranger in jet-black armor came to the blacksmith's shop and purchased the new weapon for many times its cost. The blacksmith's joy was short-lived because the ax's first trial was on him... it severed his head with a single swing. After that, the blacksmith's creation was named "Bloodseeker" for its uncanny sharpness and its ability to hurt both mundane and supernatural targets.
Bloodseeker screams whenever its abilities are used. If one listens closely one scream is a little louder than all the rest. It is said that that scream belongs to the blacksmith who is regretting the pact he made with dark entities so long ago.

Description:
There aren’t many tales of the demon lord known as Azaur, save for the ones that are closely guarded by secretive organizations and those fearful of his existence. Deemed an envious creature of darkness, Azaur commands an army of unholy spawn and demands that they seek out every materialistic object in existence and bring it to him. Money, jewels, treasure, artifacts, even tokens of love -- he wants everything to be his own if only to claim it is his and no one else’s. Then there are others that claim that he merely envies from afar, watching and pining for something far more philosophical than the paltry objects that others may desire. Whatever story is true, the tale behind this full-body armor is a rather simple one. A wayward scholar was traveling down a long path when he encountered Azaur. Upon meeting and talking with the demon lord, it is said that the scholar offered the creature of darkness some insight into the deeper considerations that came with existence. Azaur was so moved by the man’s words that he offered him treasure from his personal vault -- a full set of plated armor. Though not much to a man with such scholarly insights, Azaur insisted that it would give him enough jewel to live out his days comfortably, in whatever means he desired.
The armor is not put on as much as it absorbs the wearer. Wrapping around them, it encases them in a shell seemingly made of unholy chitin. The wearer’s head is overcome with smoke and then numerous glowing eyes appear on the outside, which lets the user see all around them, making sure they don’t miss anything they could possibly desire to know or observe.

A purple shard of stone wrapped in a pulsating black vine that oozes an aura of infernal desire wrapped around a small kernel of joy. The warring nature of the aura sometimes creates the dual feeling of desire and repulsion for the piece. This stone is one of a few that remain from a tower created before the fall of Sin. The mage who built the tower attempted the impossible: to create a link between a Celestial realm and the Infernal realm. Not many of the Sinnite mage's documents survived the fall thus it is unknown if he ever succeeded. The innate power that soaked into broken bits of the tower suggests he might have gotten close. Simply possessing a small portion, such as this stone, is known to confer powers. Perhaps he succeeded after all and the celestial entities alongside demonic entities watch all who carry his tower in their pocket...

Description:
Escaping the destructive end of an otherworldly Titanomachy, a wanderer arrived unto Earthland bearing a single treasure from their homelands. The Evil Eye, “Matiasma” in their ancient tongue, was an artifact crafted from the oculars of a fallen deva, and fit into a necklace so the power it encompassed could be worn. The wanderer would tell of their tales and their world as they traveled, providing entertainment in return for a roof over their head and a filled belly wherever they went; until a group of dubious origins seemed far too interested in the Matiasma around their neck. When the wanderer tried to leave town they were ambushed and forced to use the powers stored within the necklace.
With the rising of the sun, the townspeople would be greeted by a multitude of statues, whereas the tale-telling wanderer had vanished without a trace. Although they searched far and wide for this wanderer so he could be brought to justice for his crimes, it appeared as if they had vanished from the world… even though his tales never did. Those were still being told, with the exact amount of details like the wanderer had… even though this man looked nothing like them.
As he finishes his story, you look on curiously as he digs into his pocket and conjures an intricate necklace from it, giving it to you. As you gaze upon it, you feel as if the eye-shaped gem centered inside the necklace is looking back at you, yet when you tear your eyes away from it to ask questions, you find yourself sitting alone. As if no one had ever been there with you in the first place.

Description:
In history long ago, during the time when gods and goddesses roamed, beginning wars over the silliest things, lived a girl with the name of Psyche. She was the daughter of a King and Queen, and her beauty was claimed to rival that of Aphrodite, which in return earned her the ire of the goddess of love and beauty. As Aphrodite could not stand someone with said beauty to rival her own, she sent her son, Eros, to marry the girl with hopes that she would be devastated to find that she had married the ugliest man and/or beast alive. Yet, as Eros looked upon Psyche, he found that he had fallen in love with her. Taking pity on the girl out of love he spared her from her mother's wrath and made the motion to not marry her. Yet, through turns and trials, the two got married, Psyche saddened by her marriage to a beast, yet not entirely unhappy as Eros was a tender partner. However, it was only a matter of time before Psyche figured out who her husband was, as her curiosity drove her to find out who he really was.
Finding that her husband was not truly the beast that she believed him to be, and with Eros shocked that his wife had betrayed him to find his identity, he ran away and she ran after him. However, in partaking in the chase, Psyche fell and became unconscious upon the impact. When waking up she found herself no longer in the house of her husband but near her old home, she voyaged to the temple of Aphrodite, praying for her husband to return to her. The Goddess of Love and Beauty, still with ire towards the girl, gave her several tasks, all of which Psyche completed until the last one, where she made a fatal mistake which cost her her life. Upon finding his wife dead, Eros was distraught and fled to Zeus, begging for his intervention. With his passionate words, the God was moved and granted Eros his wish. Bringing Psyche before Zeus she was fed ambrosia, the drink of immortality, turning her into the Goddess of the Soul.
As Psyche means the word Soul as well as that of butterfly, she often takes the form of such creature to venture back to the mortal world to enjoy the life that she once had, the butterfly being the purest of soul and of heart, happiness following in its tracks.

Description:
The material world has always been the chosen demesne for the sport of gods and demons, creatures whose excess of power lends itself to grandiose displays. These displays, often writ with the cost of blood, have caused innumerable events of destruction. Worse still are the insidious effects of their manipulation for prestige, power, and influence, whereby they manipulate mortal beings into performing their bidding; unseen, they are able to play the denizens of the world as marionettes like master puppeteers.
This has never sat well with certain elements of society, who seek to redress the balance and restore some semblance of agency back to the hands of mortal men. An incredibly powerful coven of witches sacrificed themselves in a blood ritual of grand proportion, their bodies twisted and contorted and given new life in the form of a ritual trinket bathed in magical ichor. This, the sixfold binding talisman Hexarch, is now symbolic of the witches' crusade to rid the world of deific influence, able to control the sinister powers of both gods and demons. Its power is legendary - it is said to devour the power of gods and demons alike and store it for its own ritualistic purposes, whereby the more it consumes, the more powerful its bearer becomes, though the substance assigned to these rumors is questionable at best as its bearers tend to be overtaken by the immeasurable strength that this token provides before they themselves are swallowed whole by its influence.
It is, in itself, an irony - the power required to combat such incredible forces contorts the one who faces them into the very monster they seek to destroy.
The amulet itself is cast of silver, inlaid at its core with a cat's eye topaz that pulsates and glows with a magical power - said to in fact be the crystallized eye of an actual beast sacrificed to the ritual - which is then held within a hexagram surrounded by the twelve symbols of the zodiac. The talisman itself is then carried on a woven blood-red cord, one that can be looped around the neck or even tied around a limb - but so the story says, once it finds a worthy bearer, that cord will sear and bind to flesh until either the talisman's purpose is served, or the wearer is slain. One way or another, none have lived long enough to confirm or deny the full extent of the binding's power.

Description:
Once upon a time, Ares was simply an ordinary man, given to an order of monks for care, or how he would view it, banished to a monastery at the age of 8 by his parents, who could no longer bear the burden of the young man's behavior. Ares had always been a deviant, something inside him longing for conflict, fights, brawls, and as such, even before he his age had even crossed the double-digits, he had already made quite the name for himself in and around the village he had grown up in.
In the hopes that religion might quell his violent tendencies, the monks of the monastery would do their best to give him special care, attention, and a warm place to call a true home, though Ares simply couldn't fit in, couldn't overcome his nature, and for years would struggle heavily under the order's influence, until finally, at the age of 18, he got into a fight that would leave his opponent, more or less accidentally, dead. With all goodwill thus extinguished, he was banished to roam the world as a simple vagabond, yet, based on Ares' malevolent urges, this would not come to be. Wherever he went, conflict, hatred, and battle seemed to follow in his wake, he none too seldomly being the catalyst for any such occurrences, and when finally things escalated beyond a point of no return, the land plagued by battle and strife, the young man, giving in to a dark ritual of arcane nature, would transform himself into a demon of war to be able to continue his work forevermore, gaining infamy of such proportion that his tale was woven into the celestial catalog as a warning to others.
Ares appears as a tall and muscular man who stands around 6'5" of height. His short red hair and beard are wild and unkempt, and he is often wearing a rather formal outfit. His attitude, however, is anything but. Erratic and unpredictable, Ares is ready to snap at the slightest displeasure, not to mention the fact that he is always looking for a fight to test his mettle in. He is unrestrained and aggressive, he enjoys and appreciates conflict, war, and battle, and some say that the outbreak of war is what brought him to Earthland anew, binding himself to a corrupted celestial key, once aglow with golden radiance, now blackened and dark, to make his presence in Ishgar a more permanent stay.
Abilities:- Plot Ability:
From Conflict Born: Ares is a fighter of nearly unparalleled experience. He knows just about any widely known martial arts style there is, has long mastered all of them, and is proficient with any kind of melee or ranged weapon. Despite this, however, he prefers to fight with his fists, though will use any kind of weaponry once the heat of battle gets him going.

Description:
Faith. One of the most powerful forces of influence in the universe, unwavering confidence in one's own self, one's religion, one's family and friends, or anything between. An authority by which many are often able to push themselves beyond their perceived limits, achieving feats that would have otherwise been considered impossible. With enough devout conviction, faith can push an individual to move mountains, divide seas in half, or even bring the dead back to life – especially in a world teeming with magic, and supernatural creatures such as gods and demons that are all too eager to reward mortals that share their own edicts.
One such being is known as Arcanos, the god of magic. A deity known by nearly all the nations of Ishgar, Arcanos is most predominantly worshipped by the people of Bellum, who ascribe so devoutly to their faith that they long ago put the fate and control of their country in the hands of the church as its governing body. Those who worship Arcanos adhere to the creed of magic superiority, welcoming any who are capable of wielding even the most minuscule of magical abilities as being blessed by Arcanos himself while looking down upon those that are magicless as inferior creatures that were ignored or abandoned by their almighty idol.
The wielder of this lineage is so devoted to their faith that they are believed to have been blessed directly by Arcanos himself. Whether or not the user actually worships Arcanos is immaterial. What matters is that they are devout to the doctrine of magic supremacy and driven by the unwavering conviction that great power is the ultimate authority in the universe, striving to increase not just their own magical strength but the magical abilities of those around them, constantly challenging their limits – whether for the glory of Arcanos, or themselves.
Abilities:
✣ Keeper of Faith ✣
By the strength of their unwavering resolve, the wielder of this lineage finds that their abilities are stronger and more numerous than that of the average mage, allowing them to hone their spells more efficiently. In short, their casting is more potent as, whether by the merits of self-discipline or the blessing of Arcanos himself, they are able to craft spells that are more complex and versatile. Whenever the wielder of this lineage creates a magic that utilizes the Faith type, they receive a modified version of the traditional benefits of Faith magic per the list below. A maximum of 1 additional effect may be added to any given spell or ability in the magic containing the Faith magic type. The benefit of this magic type can be used to alter the effective limit of signature spells.- Solitary Benefit: +12 effects that may be distributed to spells and abilities in the magic including this magic type.
- Primary Benefit: +8 effects that may be distributed to spells and abilities in the magic including this magic type.
- Auxiliary Benefit: +4 effects that may be distributed to spells and abilities in the magic including this magic type.
✣ Arsenal of Devotion ✣
Due to the user’s intense devotion to increasing their magical prowess, it is believed that they have been blessed by the god with an expanded capacity for knowledge and spellcraft. As such, the number of spells that they can cast is significantly increased. The wielder of this lineage receives an additional user rank advanced spell per magic they possess, capped at H+, as well as a second user rank advanced spell per magic that ranks with them up to S+. Additionally, they receive an extra user rank Signature Spell for each of their magics that ranks with them up to S, as well as 5 extra user rank spell slots that can be allotted to a single magic of theirs containing the Faith magic type, ranking up with the user up to S. Lastly, the user also gains an additional slot for a Fusion Spell, which may be added to a single magic belonging to the user containing the Faith magic type.
✣ Divine Reward ✣
The gods are said to richly award the pious with bountiful blessings in all aspects of life. It is said that Arcanos is no different, and those that walk the path of arcane supremacy find that they are rewarded with certain comforts and protections. The wielder of this lineage receives a 100% increase to their base MP, as well as a 100% increase to their base Spell Damage. Additionally, they find that they also receive a 100% increase in jewel rewards from jobs as Arcanos’ blessings ensure that they are rewarded with more than just magical strength.
✣ Anointed by Arcanos ✣
Not only is the user blessed with an expanded spell list and increased magical capabilities, but the favor of Arcanos is bestowed to them through the use of a single advanced spell of Arcanos’ own design, which he has allowed no other individual to wield. The master and authority in all forms of magic, this spell may be crafted by the user and molded to fit the theme of one of the magic that they wield, as long as that magic contains the Faith type. It does not take up a spell slot, and it ranks with the user up to H+. Additionally, up to once per thread, the user can cast this spell at zero cost to MP as they channel the divine energy of Arcanos directly to shape and craft the spell. However, should the user choose to cast the spell without spending MP, the user becomes fatigued from the overwhelming potency of conducting Arcanos’ energy directly, and they must spend an additional 25% MP on each spell that they cast for the rest of the thread.- Custom Faith Spell:

✣ Clout of the Blessed ✣
This lineage is considered a Lore Based Lineage. As such, as a plot ability, the user is easily recognized by followers of Arcanos as being marked with the god's favor. This allows them a certain level of sway with other devotees of the faith, giving them an increased chance to influence the outcome and progression of applicable guided lore events to their benefit. This ability does not guarantee success of their actions, but does allow appropriate room for exception, reconsideration, or special esteem in applicable official lore plots. As always, the final outcome of any actions taken in guided lore events is determined by the Loremaster. Likewise, the user may find themselves targeted and singled out by those who oppose Arcanos and his teachings, making it more difficult to sway or otherwise affect those that might negatively view one who was marked by the god of magic. The wielder of this lineage may not control lore event NPCs or faction NPCs unless authorized by the event team leaders, and may only influence players and player-owned NPCs with the expressed permission of that player. The user, and any other player they share a Faction with, receive the divine favor of the blessed when finishing a regular Job, Faction Job, or Faction Event, granting them an additional 25% to their EXP gain from said job. This ability only applies when at least 2 players of the same Faction complete the Job, Faction Job, or Faction Event successfully.
