The Luminous Covenant - Information

The Luminous Covenant is a Faction that is formed from the forces of Fiore, Ca-Elum, Desierto, and the nation at this Faction's head, Bellum, further employing a vast array of mages from all across Ishgar who flock to this Faction and its ideals. It is engaged in military conflict with the Ironheart Pact and associated nations.

The Luminous Covenant offers members progression through 3 different Ranks apart from the role of Faction Leader. Depending on their rank in the Luminous Covenant, members receive varying degrees of the "Shared Strategic Approach" modifier, granting them additional EXP from finishing Faction Events, Faction Jobs, and regular Job Endings. The bonus applies as follows:

Alignments and usergroups excluded from joining the Luminous Covenant:

1) Openly Criminal Individuals, Dark Mages, Individuals wanted in any Nation belonging to the Luminous Covenant. If your character belongs to these classifications, you will need a disguise or alter-ego if you wish to join this Faction and stay in it. Should it become known that your character belongs to these classifications they will be removed from the Luminous Covenant.

The Luminous Covenant is divided into 4 Chapters:

Bellum, after the conflict with Pergrande at its border and the botched peace talks that followed now finds itself in total war with not just Pergrande, but the entirety of the Ironheart Covenant. Despite this, Bellian morale has never been higher. The Grand Cardinal of Bellum has declared a Crusade, a holy war against the enemies of Bellum, mobilizing the vast majority of its population in the name of Arcanos and forming the "Order of Arcanos" out of all those who seek to fight in this holy war. Bellum lacks the ability to compete with Pergrande when it comes to the number of troops it can field or the level of its technology, but makes up for it with sheer fervor and individual excellence, further relying on its allies to provide backup, both militarily and economically. The Army of Bellum, composed entirely of specialized and trained mage-fighters, is additionally reinforced by its world-famous clergy, who are most proficient at Holy Magic.

Ca-Elum entered this conflict when Pergrande declared war on Bellum, and subsequently, Bellum's ally, the nation of Fiore, a close associate and trading partner to Ca-Elum. While possessing a somewhat low concentration of mages when compared to most other nations on the continent of Ishgar, Ca-Elum definitively makes up for this lack of arcane power in sheer military strength and technology. Ca-Elum's naval might is said to be unrivaled in all of Earthland, its ships and their crews constituting the best of the best according to the world's perception. And indeed, it is true that Ca-Elum is world leader in the development of composite armors, artillery technology, as well as advanced calculation- and guidance systems, making Elumish warships and the power they represent the greatest asset Ca-Elum provides to the Luminous Covenant. Ca-Elum maintains friendly relations with both Fiore and Bellum, but is suspicious of Desierto and the validity of its operations within the Luminous Covenant.

Desierto ostensibly joined this conflict to support its ally Bellum against Pergrande once war had been declared, assembling large-scale raiding parties with staggering pace. The Alliance of the 3 Desert Kings has further unified their military forces into a standing army which, combining the vast experience accrued in the desert dunes with the ferocity of the Desierto people, is more than a match to any traditional force. Highly adept at unconventional tactics, surprise attacks, raids, ambushes, as well as hit-and-run tactics, Desierto fighters are masters of Guerilla warfare on almost any terrain, and what they lack in magical power, they make up in combat prowess and numbers.
