At the behest of Mysie Faulkner, Lyra Karant travelled to distant lands in order to acquire three moon crystal phoenix eggs. Under the full moon, these three eggs hatched: as Mysie and Lyra looked on, the first bird hatched. Locking eyes with Lyra, she knew that she would forever had a staunch and stalwart companion, spirit-bound to one another. Born of the essence of all things, this creature - Akasha - ended up being the alpha of her brood, growing to gigantic proportions alongside Lyra’s magical capabilities. Being a moon crystal phoenix, Akasha fights with the power of moonlight and of crystal, and is willing to fight to the death for her spiritbound partner. She is large enough that one adult could ride her comfortably. So too can Akasha take respite inside Lyra's spirit, and can be summoned and dismissed as necessary.
