Spending time at the sanctuary was Aliannah's most favourite past-time. The way that she could hear the laughs of the children in the air and the way that the entire little village seemed warm and happy. She adored the time that she spent playing with the children, knowing that they wouldn't have the same growing up that she did, alone and sanctioned off in some hospital without knowing if there was someone out there that cared for you.

A sad smile creeped across her face as she held one of the younger children in her arms, and the others were skittering around her feet, playing some sort of variation of tag in the little version of a café that the sanctuary had.

"Ali's making that face again!" The voice of one of the older kids came echoing in the blondes ears, shocking her out of her trance. Apparently the kids knew her better than she thought that she did cause soon enough she was engulfed in little arms, warming her heart and making tears prick at her eyes. The kids didn't know Aliannah's past, but they knew that face that she made when she was thinking about the past, they also knew one way or another to comfort her when they saw it. Honestly, she blames the care takers, they probably said something.

Bending down she scooped as many children into her arms, giving a slightly wet laugh, "You guys are the best, the best little huggers I know." She smiled brightly at the kids and tweaked a couple cheeks. "Every single one of you." There was a ruckus of laughter and whines before the kids dispersed, called away by the other adults in the sanctuary.

It was good though, the sanctuary was holding a small family friendly event and as part of the musical entertainment Aliannah needed to get ready. Her eyes flickered to the children that were running outside, chasing after one another in their little winter outfits. Most of the sanctuary was self funded, however there were times that they would host events like this to bring in a little extra for the holidays to get presents for all the children.

The blonde made her way to the stage inside the café, picking up one of the acoustic guitars that were scattered around the stage. With a hum her fingers passed along the strings, it wasn't that she needed to warm up, having an angel living inside of her and affecting her body made it so that her voice was never tired and was already to sing a siren's song.

Nimble fingers played along the strings as her voice matched, words tumbling from her lips in the form of a small folk tune that she used to hear her parents sing as a child.

The blonde had closed her eyes, fingers moving along the strings of the guitar by memory, her body gently swaying back and forth as she kept a silent beat. Her playing now wasn't the main performance, but there was never anything wrong with giving a little teaser. They had honestly about another half hour before things fully kicked into gear and honestly she couldn't wait. Aliannah loved to see the happy faces of the kids as they ran around and as they sang along to their favourite tunes in the cafe.

She knew that this was also one of the most favourite times of year for the kids as well because people from outside of the sanctuary, kids and other vendors and adults, would come and spend time with everyone. They loved getting to know new people.

Speaking of which, the volunteers would be arriving soon and she would probably have to gather a couple to instruct them on hour to handle this many children. There were plenty of volunteers that knew what to do and got to it, knowing how to handle kids because they had some of their own, or this was their first time at a child centered event, but there were always a couple that needed just that little bit of help and instruction.

Finally, opening her eyes the blonde scanned around the cafe, looking to spot anyone she didn't know, sticking them with the volunteer tag in her head. There were a couple that she didn't recognize and one that she paused a moment, looking at him with slight confusion. She would have simply passed over the red haired man were it not for the second soul that seemed to be intertwined with his own. It wasn't very often that Aliannah would run across someone who had two souls in her body, much like herself. Striking one last chord on the guitar the blonde placed it back in its holder before stepping off the stage. A couple people already in the cafe applauded her and the mage could only smile and nod at them in thanks.

She made her way over to where some of the volunteers stood, looking around in confusion. "Hello! Welcome to our Sanctuary!" Her voice was melodic as she spoke to the new people who seemed to look a little more relieved now that someone was talking to them. "I really appreciate you all coming to help and I know that the kids are really excited to meet you all, they really look forward to this every year." Aliannah always tried to mention how the kids would appreciate the adults, it always seemed to make them work harder and be more patient with the little rascals. "I'm going to direct to you the usual staff of the cafe and some of the other planners of the event, they are going to tell you where to go and what to do, so don't worry too much!" The blonde flashed them all a smile before turning to Isabel, the kind looking brown haired lady behind the counter, and nodding to her.

With someone else to handle some of the more confused volunteers Aliannah was now able to then go and greet some of the more veteran people, or the people who had a little more common sense than those before. A smile perched on her face she made her way towards the man who had caught her attention before. "Hello! You must be here as a volunteer as I haven't seen you around before! My name is Aliannah, I started the Orphanage and help plan events such as this, it's really nice of you to volunteer your time. I hope that you and your friend," Aliannah nodded to where the soul seemed to hover around the red headed male, "enjoy your time; and if the you struggle with some of the children or they give you a hard time, don't hesitate reaching out to other staff members or me."

As she spoke several kids ran into the cafe, shrieking and giggling accompanying them as they made a direct line to where Aliannah and the new stranger were talking. What a prime example, the blonde couldn't help herself as she giggled.

Aliannah was a bit startled as the soul lunged at her, it seemed startled that someone could see him. The girl bit her bottom lip, maybe he was trying to not be seen. She hesitated a little bit, debating on whether or not she should explain why she was able to see him. However, she didn't have the chance as kids ran past them, nearly knocking into the man who later introduced himself as Danny.

He had a kid, the blonde looked over to where Sammy, his child, was running around and interacting with the other kids. It was cute, looked a lot like his father which was sweet to see. Aliannah almost cooed at the sight, but she knew better.

Rather, she continued to look at Dany and Arminius. The soul seemed upset that he was able to be seen. So, maybe, her previous decision to hold her tongue as to why she could see Arminius was not the best. The blonde managed a smile on her face and shook her head. "Thank you so much for coming. It seems like Sammy is enjoying himself with the other kids. Being at the orphanage they don't often see kids from outside, so it's nice for them as well." The mage took in a breath and looked directly at Arminius.

"As for the additional soul, there is nothing wrong with him or his ability to hide from viewers, no one else here can see him unless they have a magic I am not aware of. I just, I have a magic and a another circumstance that allows for me to see all hidden souls in general." Gentle fingers lifted to run through her silky hair, "I apologize if I made it awkward for you."
