Job Title: The Spectacular Jail Break: Act One
Alignment: Dark
Rank: 10 Year
Job Type: Normal
Job Location: Wakusei Portals
Solo Word Count: 10,000 words
Group Word Count: 20,000 words
Additional Requirements: N/A
Job Description: A special prison was developed by a group of scientists and mages to be able to house the most dangerous criminals, keeping them locked away for life. It was named the Etherhedron and exists somewhere in the darkness that lurks between worlds (a dramatic name for outer space). Crafted from powerful magical and advanced scientific secrets, the Etherhedron looks like an icosahedron, slowly rotating on its vertical axis. The problem is the nature of the Etherhedron, and that is what makes it the most powerful prison. Interaction with it shows it to be a completely solid structure of indestructible quality. It is not even hollow on the inside, and thus disallows teleportation into it.
It was eventually discovered that the Etherhedron is actually a portal to an extradimensional space, which is where the actual prison is situated. When prisoners are brought to the Etherhedron, a special code is “pinged” to the polyhedron, which causes it to open a docking bay. Once within, the prisoner, who is escorted by prison staff, is teleported to the extradimensional space.
Your mission is to find your way into the Etherhedron and assassinate/rescue (completely up to the player; you can even do both) your target(s), then get out of there. After all, how will you spend your hard-earned jewels if you remain trapped in there?
Act One involves your character securing passage to the Etherhedron. It can be by any means: setting oneself up to be caught or masquerading as prison staff are the two most obvious options. Other options are allowed, but must be logical (asking to sightsee will never work; the general populace is not even supposed to know it exists). Also, remember that to mask as prison staff, you must find a way to access the Etherhedron codes, which are well guarded by their owners, who are normally quite security-conscious. If you wish to enter as a convict, you have to perform a really heinous crime that will get the attention of any of the masterminds of the Etherhedron (otherwise you might just end up in the Rune Knights’ jail, and that is nowhere near your goal). Just be sure that whatever you do does not warrant them executing you on the spot (even if you come back as a zombie... hmmm, maybe then, they’d want to arrest you, right? Who knows?)
Enemies: This is completely up to the player. If, somehow, the player manages to complete this quest without any fights, no enemies are needed.
Reward: 300,000 Jewels and access to “The Spectacular Jail Break: Act Two” here.
