Someone Ordered the Jail House Special?

Passing through Era on her way to Hargeon, well... over Era, Kateri noticed a pretty good sized hole in one of the prison's walls. She had her wyvern land and asked the guards about what exactly happened.
According to one of the night watch men, who was somewhat traumatized, one of the inmates went nuts and rammed through his cell door. The cowering guard also mentioned he was watching from across the way as the man reamed a few of his buddies and trampled the wall, leaving that massive hole in his wake. None of the other inmates got out, but they all agreed that the man who got out was extremely dangerous, and should be stopped. Kateri figured that there must be a motive behind the break out, and she volunteered to find him. His file said he was a near 7ft tall man who they transferred from Hargeon, named Jacob. His photo revealed him to be not only a tall guy, but a very well built behemoth as well.

She went ahead and followed the direction the boot scuff was in, and came across a mud puddle that had some large prints in them. The shape was human, and big enough to belong to that Jacod guy. Kateri noticed that the prints continued out of the puddle and into the brush. Following them, she found a very, very large man walking through the forest.
She remembered that the man had family that he hadn't seen for a very long time. She got her .308, the 'Small Package' ready to fire, and she followed the man.
Jacob took a mess of turned, and twists as he made his way to a small section of wall that was damaged enough for him to flick and crumble a hole to enter through. He was getting ready to slam a hole in when he felt a circular object pressing against the back of his skull and heard that magical 'click' of a hammer being pulled back.

"Don't turn around, just give me a damn good reason not to blow your brains out." Keteri said in an assertive tone.
"Look miss, I don't want any trouble." Jacob responded.
"That's not a reason."
"I'll go back to jail, I just..."
"What?"
"I just wanna see my baby girl, one time."
The sound of the hammer being gently put back, and the feeling of the barrel being lifted off his head relieved Jacob a little.
"You have a kid?"
"Yes. Please miss, just let me see her."
"What's your story Goodnight?"
"I got fired and my wife left me."
"After that?"
"I spent time at the docks in Hargeon killing people, and I met this uhh... Say.... Say..."
"Seikatsu?"
"Yeah, super sad seeming guy who wiped out his village.
"That's my dad."
"No way... but you're almost as old as he is."
"Magic experiment gone wrong, I'll let you see your family, but you get five minutes."
"Thanks miss, that's all I could ask for!"
Kateri followed Jacob Goodnight through the hole he made in the wall, to his wife's house with a gun pressed against his head. The guards didn't stop her since she looked as hostile as it gets, and knew if Jacob tried to run his head would be pudding.

Upon arriving at his family's house, his wife looked at him disdainfully. Kateri stepped out from behind him, and said
"Step aside and let him see the kid."
The woman scowled at Kateri, but noticed she had her hand on the grip of the 'Small Package' and kindly let them enter.
"Alright Mr. Goodnight, remember you've got five minutes."
"Thank's kid, you and your old man are really nice people ya' know?"
"Story of our lives."
His wife tried to force them out, but Kateri kept her nice and busy making sure not to let her speak. A little over an hour passed and Jacob had finished visiting his daughter.
"Sorry I was late."
"It's fine, I had the grouch over there keeping me company."
Jacobs wife, ex-wife, let them leave happily and Jacob was taken back to prison. Kateri spent a bit of time talking with Jacob about her dad, and assuring him that he didn't owe her any favors.
Afterwards she left, and continued her path to Hargeon.
