Slowly winding down the endless trails that would lead through the chilly landscape, small footprints would manifest only for seconds before being swept away by the snowstorm that loomed overhead. Despite it having been months since the petite potion prodigy had joined the pack of wolves that resided within the icy climates of the upper Phoenix Mountains, she was still unused to the chill that would flutter up her spine from this weather- it reminded her of that one day so many years ago. Wrapped in a large, fluffy lavender-colored blanket, Angel would huff and puff as she would trudge through the thick snow in her bulky black boots, her skeleton head being the only belongings she had brought with her on her task- she was to locate a lost artifact that was rumored to have been spotted in these icy snow-covered icicle formations with only the clue of its potential location as her guide. Even though the skeleton head would remain hidden within the folds of her blanket, she knew that she was not alone, nor did she feel it- she had her best friend with her, and having not spotted passerby’s since wandering into the domain of ice, it wouldn’t be long until it was safe for him to come out. It was difficult to explain his energy and presence to others.. she hadn’t even introduced him to any of her guild mates just yet. Talking skeleton heads did not bring about the most pleasant reactions in her clients within her past- luckily, for now, he was easy to hide.

“I.. I think it’s- safe for you to come out now, v̷͙̩̎̔̏y̶̹̥̒͒̍̏̂̒ả̸̦̦̭̄̅̀͜e̸̙̫͊̌̀̐͘̕͠į̶̦̫̈́k̷̭̭͚͉̟̹̖̐̅͆͋͛̍,” the gothic maid would speak softly as she would continue to walk up the sides carved out of the glaciers, peering around for anything that could lead her to the prize. From the folds of her blanket would produce a glow that would look to be hued with the colors of pink and purple- beside her would manifest the death god in his human-like form; he would seem to wear a large, draping cloak dripping in gold with designs of ancient runic language and flora, and his eyes would appear as a bright magenta-red color. Immediately grabbing his hand to hold onto something, the potion girl would grunt as she would struggle to make her way up the snowy path. Vyalek would appear to find this amusing- his cloak would flutter around him as he would walk with ease, his toned body showing within the motion. His skin would appear to be a deep black with white marks that look to resemble a skeleton, especially around his thin, chiseled face. “Well, look at that,” he would speak softly as he would pull his golden robes up to adjust them in the winds, “ziemlich leicht.” In front of the two would reside a gap in the path that consisted of a small clearing coated in protruding ice crystals; in the center would appear to sit a sword sheathed in a black retainer, slit into one of the largest ice spires. The chilled heartbeat of the potion prodigy would begin to flutter more rapidly when she would sight this after her companion’s words.. this just had to be the artifact the guild was looking for, even if it looked a bit plain in its containment. Around the spire it was submerged within would seem to emanate a bit of a purple hued frost, something that would stand out quite well to the death god as they would quickly approach.

Reaching to firmly grasp the handle of the blade with her bare hands, Angel would let out a deep breath before attempting to pull it out with all her might, causing the lavender colored frost to more intently resonate with the glacial winds. An icy blast of cold air would follow the sword’s release- outside of the sheath it would appear to have a blade made entirely of violet ice, pushing out a faint chill from its tip. “W- whoa,” she would speak in awe as she would wave it back and forth in the wind, causing more sparkly effects, “Ich liebe einfache aufgaben!” However, upon the winds would appear a set of eyes, approaching from behind the icy fractals protruding from the snowy ground- it was another group of individuals that was looking for the artifact too, and with a simple ‘hey!’, the two Silver Wolf mages would look as if they knew to anticipate trouble- slipping the sword back into its sheath, the zombie girl would sigh and back up to stand behind Vyalek as he would prepare to confront the approaching group. ‘They have it, get them!’ one would shout as they would slip out of the darkness- they would all look to be wearing dark robes and violet colored accessories, but resembled members of a cult. With a gasp Angel would back up a few feet with the blade in hand- however, the death god would seem to stand in place and hold his hand out toward the group, causing a dark colored magical circle to form upon the surface of his palm. “My my, your manners are rather.. kahl, kahl und gemein,” he would exclaim as the snow around him would cease to fall in a dark circle, his white hair appearing to sit still along with his silky attire, “I’m Vyalek, the Prince of das Reich des schwarzen Todes- it’s quite disrespectful to attempt to claim what is not yours, is it not? We found the artifact first, and we will be bringing it home with us. Huschen away, for I cannot guarantee your safety if you proceed.”

“Hm,” he would softly speak as his vision would appear set on their continuously approaching shadows, “Angel, run- run as fast as you can and do not look back- I will meet you back home, meine verwelkte blume. Now… run.” Letting out a nervous gasp of air, the potion maker would quickly turn around and begin to sprint down the trail that led up into the glaciers- it was almost as if her violet-colored blanket would resemble butterfly wings as it would flutter through the wind during her sprint, guided by mythical glowing butterflies of purple that would swarm alongside her. Bugs drawn to her big secret, they would feel familiar, alongside the handle of the icy blade.. her violet eyes would remain on the floor as she would continue to run. Behind her would manifest violet and golden explosions, which would be followed by distant yelling- but when her head would briefly turn to check it out, nobody seemed to had made it down the path behind her. Now, all she had to do was make it back down to the base of the glaciers and figure it out from there- Vyalek would be home in due time. He didn’t give up that easily. Angel was excited to give the artifact over to the guild- perhaps one day she would be able to train with it- why it felt so natural in her hands was beyond her. Perhaps it would mean more to her than what met the eye- but that would be something that she would find out in due time.
