Boy was it hot today! Out of all the days Kai was outside, today was definitely the hottest. Perfect for the beach as well so, he knows what he’s doing today! Before leaving the house, he put on some swimming trunks that had golden and black stripes outlining it. Two of his favorite colors and, he couldn’t forget his goggles. Nobody likes getting water in their eyes or nose. Once he packed all of the things he will need, like sunscreen, he grabbed his bag that had all of his things in it, and left for the beach! As soon as he walked out though, he was immediately assaulted by the heat of the sun. Better get used to this, huh?

Once he got out of the cab, he could already see how crowded the beach was already. Kai also spotted some type of booth that had registration included for some type of beach party. Maybe it’ll be some good fun?

Kai walked over to the booth and decided to ask. “Excuse me, where do I sign up for this event?” Kai asked as the man at the booth slid a paper and pen towards him. “This is where you sign, my friend! In this event, we have a little point system!” He said as he pulled a small little flower head out of his pocket. “This is a Lei. For each activity you do, you get a Lei! To qualify for rewards, you need four of these but, don’t worry, we’ll be doing these activities till the end of the day and that’s 12 hours from now so, you got all the time you need! At the end of this though, we will also be having a giant feast so, make sure you came on an empty stomach!” The man said as Kai registered. “What’s up first?” Kai asked as the man pointed to some other people setting up Limbo. ”Oh, this’ll be easy.“ Kai thought to himself.

Soon, the Limbo set was finished so, the manager climbed on top of his booth and pulled out a megaphone. “ALRIGHT, FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS, COME TO THE BOOTH OVER HERE SO I CAN GIVE OUT THE LEIS!” The manager said as quite a few people ran over to the booth, including Kai. The manager gave out the Leis and told all of them: “Make sure you keep track of your Leis. Also, do not lose them or fake yourself losing one. I have all of your names on the paper so, I won’t give you another one.” The manager said as he walked over to the Lei. It was all set up now and a crowd already formed around it. The participants formed a line with Kai at the back. It’s fine, they’re saving the best for last.

“Alright! The bar will progressively get harder with each time the participants do it. Whoever gets to the lowest setting wins! Also, you cannot use magic to somehow get under the bar. By doing so, you get your Lei revoked so, please don’t cheat.” The manager said as he signaled the first person to go. The made it under the first level with ease. The second one, not so much. The third time, they struck out! Now for the second participant! They made it under the first, second, and third level with ease and almost failed at the fourth level but, failed at the fifth level. This continued until Kai was the last one left. He made it under all of the levels until the final level. It was so low that you didn’t even need to jump, to get over it. All you needed to do was step over it. Then, that was it. He basically already won since no one passed the one before this level but, he just doing this one for fun. Kai moved towards the bar and got as low as he could before slowly moving himself past the bar. “And, we have our winner of the Limbo Contest!” It was a bit easy, not going to lie.

“Alright contestants, next up is the Horse shoe throwing contest! The rules are pretty simple! You are given 5 horse shoes thus, five tries! You must throw all 5 shoes at this peg in the sand! The manager said as he pointed towards the wooden peg. “The people who get all five shoes on the peg are the winners of this challenge so, aim carefully!” He said as he gave those who were participating, five horseshoes and a Lei. The first contestant threw his first horseshoe and missed. He threw the rest of them and missed them all. “Unlucky! Thanks for participating in this contest though!” The manager said. The second person threw their horseshoes and missed only two! “Not too bad but, could be better!” The manager said, once again. After the 8th person, it was Kai’s turn. “See, the thing is, they aren’t aware of how they are throwing it or how much force they are putting into their throw. Therefore, it shows that their muscle memory isn’t active due to their spontaneous throws. So, when you make the first throw, you gotta make sure you land it so, you can repeat the exact same motion and get the exact same result! It's simple comprehension.” Kai said to himself. He threw the first horseshoe and he made it. ”There it is. Now, just repeat the exact same motion as before.” He time himself as he did so. He didn't miss a single one and when I tell you the crowd was dead with confusion. I'm telling you, it was a damn ghost town. After a while the crowd bursted with overflowing excitement. “We have our obvious winner!” The manager said as he lifted Kai’s arm as if he won a boxing match.

Right after the contest, Kai took a little nap since they were doing some other activities that he didn't really wanna participate in. Like, surfing, volleyball, sandcastle building, etc.

    --An Hour Later--

Kai was woken out of his sleep by the sound of a foghorn. He looked side to side frantically as he looked forward and saw a giant ship. There were multiple smaller ships behind it. A ladder dropped down from the ship as someone flew down the ladder. It was the manager! And, of course, he brought his god-forsaken megaphone- “ALRIGHT CONTESTANTS, ITS TIME FOR FISHING! FOR THOSE WHO ARE PARTICIPATING, HOP IN A BOAT BEHIND MINE!” The manager said as a storm of people started running to grab a boat. Kai simply walked over and just got in a boat. “SO, ITS TIME FOR THE FISHING CONTEST!” The manager said as the contestants waited in their boats. “IN YOUR SHIP, YOU HAVE ALL THE EQUIPMENT YOU NEED TO CATCH SOME FISH! WHOEVER REELS IN THE BIGGEST AND HEAVIEST FISH WINS! AND, THERE IS ALREADY A LEI ON THE BOAT FOR YOU!” Kai walked over to the back of his boat and saw the Lei. He grabbed it and put it in his pocket with his others. “ALRIGHT! START YOUR ENGINES AND GET FISHING!! ALSO, IF YOU GET LOST AT SEA OR LOSE FUEL, THAT IS YOUR PROBLEM! YOU ALREADY SIGNED THAT ALL RESPONSIBILITIES ARE FOR YOUR WELLBEING! I HAVE NO PART IN THE DEATH OF YOU!” The manager said as the ship started leaving already. “Alright, how do I turn this thing on?” Kai has never steered a boat before so, this is a first for him. He soon found a key and found the socket for the said key. Then, he started the boat up and started driving.

After a good ten minutes, he found some calm waters and decided to chill here for fishing. He set up the pole and just waited for a fish to tug at it. Might as well take a few Zzz’s.

The fishing pole shook and that made Kai jolt out of his sleep. He rubbed his eyes as he saw the fishing about to fly into the water. He quickly got up and grabbed the fishing pole before pulling it with all of his strength while trying to reel it in. The fish would not let go of the bait so, Kai almost went over the boat but, stabilized himself. This was a very hard battle but, the fact that this fish wasn't even the biggest one out of the contest was astonishing. Kai reeled the fish in and saw it in the water. It wasn't close enough to the surface for him to grab it so, he pulled it in more until its head popped out of the water. Then, he quickly grabbed it out of the water and tossed it on the boat. He grabbed its head and took the hook out of its mouth before putting it in a very large cooler. Kai had to take a minute to ain't down and relax. That fish had the strength of a bodybuilder and it almost popped both of his shoulders out of its socket. It looked like a monkfish of some sort. All Kai knew was that it had a lot of teeth, that's for sure. Once he was good to go, he turned on the boat’s engine and sailed it back to Hargeon Town.

All of the contestants were back at the shoreline, carrying the cooler with its fish in it. One of the contestants’ fish was sticking out of the cooler. He definitely lost this one but, he could be in the top three. It didn't really matter to him. All he wanted to do now was eat some food. He carried the cooler to the manager as the rest of the contestants did the same thing. The manager took out all of the fish and placed them on the scale, one by one. The heaviest fish was a Goliath grouper. How the hell did it even fit in the cooler? Oh wait, they had 5 people carry it over with them. It weighed 820lbs so, they definitely took the win without a doubt. Kai came in second place with a fish that weighed 620lbs. He carried it on his own here. Third place goes to the contestant that caught a goblin shark. One of the ugliest fish in all of Earthland. Hopefully, at least.

The manager spoke up again. “Alright contestants! This is now the last activity of the day!” The manager said as Kai sat down on the sand and just listened. “With all the fun sh we have caught, it is now time for the feast! I know everyone is hungry so, if you help speed up the progress, you get another Lei!” The manager said as he revealed numerous amounts of kitchen items as well as appliances like, stoves, ovens, etc. “Magic is also allowed in this one. As long as it is going towards helping!” The manager said as most of the beach came to help cook. There are probably over 300 people so, Kai was gonna be cooking for a lot of people!

Kai first grabbed the biggest fish and with some help, he placed it on the table. He grabbed a large knife and started cutting it open. When it was fully cut, he cleared out all of the cartilage and removed the inedible and nasty things. Kai cut the skin on both sides and placed them on a pan to cook for a bit. He grabbed all of his seasonings and started coating the skin with different types of spices. Paprika, salt, pepper, etc. While the skin was cooking, he cut the meat into a lot of squares and placed it all in a pot. Kai opened a canister of broth and poured it into the pot before cutting multiple vegetables like cabbage, lettuce, carrots, and other things. While that was boiling into a soup, he grabbed a 50lb bag of rice and poured it all in a large pressure cooker. He turned it on and poured water in it as well as some butter to enrich it. With that cooking, he turned the heat of the stove for the soup down. With all the meat supplied by the people at the beach, he filled the soup with sausage, chicken, lamb, and a lot more water. He turned off of the stove for the fish skin and broke it up into flakes before placing it all in the pressure cooker with the rice. He grabbed a large spoon and tasted the soup. Perfectly done. He tasted the rice. Beautifully and delicately made. Everything he cooked was finished for consumption. Those who weren’t finished cooking, he helped and with that done and the feast ready, he devoured it all until the thought of food made him feel sick.
