Yuvon knew, but had he experienced it? A few times, but the very first statement mentioned here was a dud! Silver Wolf’s HQ was near the top of the Phoenix Mountains, where the cold winds reigned supreme. It was nice to not worry about sweating too much, but let’s forget about that! Actually, no, let’s never forget anything; forgetting was losing valuable memories-
Then again… not all memories were ever helpful. Damn, memories sure were a weird bunch; why were we instilled to remember so many things and yet carry the ability to regret some of that which we automatically harbor at times?
S-Stop, Yuvon, and try and relax for a change! That was the whole premise behind the Beach Parties spotting all around Fiore’s coastal beaches – it was in the spirit of summer, so they had to reap the fruits of it while it lasted.
The heat was only one signature element of the beach drawing a contour over the western part of Cedar Town – the festivities were just as prominent! From a huge feast under a fancy, tent-roof parasol to a huge collection of sand castles built by locals and tourists in a wide contest, to a heated volleyball tournament between competitive spirits, this party had it all going! Oh, oh, and perhaps Yuvon’s favorite; the limbo pole being lowered as a small line including a couple tourists and himself along with his fellow guildmate and lovely maid of wolves, Charlotte the Fair and Enduring, the Bearer of Arachne’s Spirit, the Bane of Flies and the “Shy As A Princess In Her Boudour”. He hoped that she could feel relaxed enough to enjoy the festivity too, as her heart clearly needed healing… but having a rough idea of her emotions, it was a big step for her.
He still remembered his words of encouragement back at the bikini sale, not minding the suspicious looks from the other females attending the shop as he stood right outside of Charlotte’s changing cell, advising her like some kind of sage: “Surely, you’re aware of the customs of people’s dressing in accordance to the location or atmosphere they find themselves in, my fair maiden… perhaps, if you think about it, a drastic introduction to the customs of Fiore and how to blend in with its people could prove to form a light shield around you, an assurance of your social resurrection and a source of strength and, most of all, content.”
And now, they were here… truth be told, he found her choice of bikini quite the sight, and only the memory of a jealous Kita ‘messing him up’ all night could snap him into the pool of knowledge informing him that Charlotte probably didn’t find his quick but fading gaze at all comfortable… wait, he was wearing a mask, he didn’t even have to-
Urgghhhh, whatever that was, he was certain it came from her. Something had affected him, he was just so convinced of it… no, it wasn’t just an excuse of the short moments of weirdly looking at her or feeling the shiver down his belly, it was something else, something arcane… but alas, now was not the time to dwindle in it.
He had a pole to walk under, and his back wasn’t giving in just yet. “I hope you’re good at balancing yourself, Charly, for the pole is only going lower…!” he warned her, worried that the pole was, perhaps, able to touch her even if she gave it her all…
