Boy was it hot today! Out of all the days Kai was outside, today was definitely the hottest. Perfect for the beach as well so, he knows what he’s doing today! Before leaving the house, he put on some swimming trunks that had golden and black stripes outlining it. Two of his favorite colors and, he couldn’t forget his goggles. Nobody likes getting water in their eyes or nose. Once he packed all of the things he will need, like sunscreen, he grabbed his bag that had all of his things in it, and left for the beach! As soon as he walked out though, he was immediately assaulted by the heat of the sun. Better get used to this, huh?
Once he got out of the cab, he could already see how crowded the beach was already. Kai also spotted some type of booth that had registration included for some type of beach party. Maybe it’ll be some good fun?
Kai walked over to the booth and decided to ask. “Excuse me, where do I sign up for this event?” Kai asked as the man at the booth slid a paper and pen towards him. “This is where you sign, my friend! In this event, we have a little point system!” He said as he pulled a small little flower head out of his pocket. “This is a Lei. For each activity you do, you get a Lei! To qualify for rewards, you need four of these but, don’t worry, we’ll be doing these activities till the end of the day and that’s 12 hours from now so, you got all the time you need! At the end of this though, we will also be having a giant feast so, make sure you came on an empty stomach!” The man said as Kai registered. “What’s up first?” Kai asked as the man pointed to some other people setting up Limbo. ”Oh, this’ll be easy.“ Kai thought to himself.
Soon, the Limbo set was finished so, the manager climbed on top of his booth and pulled out a megaphone. “ALRIGHT, FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS, COME TO THE BOOTH OVER HERE SO I CAN GIVE OUT THE LEIS!” The manager said as quite a few people ran over to the booth, including Kai. The manager gave out the Leis and told all of them: “Make sure you keep track of your Leis. Also, do not lose them or fake yourself losing one. I have all of your names on the paper so, I won’t give you another one.” The manager said as he walked over to the Lei. It was all set up now and a crowd already formed around it. The participants formed a line with Kai at the back. It’s fine, they’re saving the best for last.
“Alright! The bar will progressively get harder with each time the participants do it. Whoever gets to the lowest setting wins! Also, you cannot use magic to somehow get under the bar. By doing so, you get your Lei revoked so, please don’t cheat.” The manager said as he signaled the first person to go. The made it under the first level with ease. The second one, not so much. The third time, they struck out! Now for the second participant! They made it under the first, second, and third level with ease and almost failed at the fourth level but, failed at the fifth level. This continued until Kai was the last one left. He made it under all of the levels until the final level. It was so low that you didn’t even need to jump, to get over it. All you needed to do was step over it. Then, that was it. He basically already won since no one passed the one before this level but, he just doing this one for fun. Kai moved towards the bar and got as low as he could before slowly moving himself past the bar. “And, we have our winner of the Limbo Contest!” It was a bit easy, not going to lie.
“Alright contestants, next up is the Horse shoe throwing contest! The rules are pretty simple! You are given 5 horse shoes thus, five tries! You must throw all 5 shoes at this peg in the sand! The manager said as he pointed towards the wooden peg. “The people who get all five shoes on the peg are the winners of this challenge so, aim carefully!” He said as he gave those who were participating, five horseshoes and a Lei. The first contestant threw his first horseshoe and missed. He threw the rest of them and missed them all. “Unlucky! Thanks for participating in this contest though!” The manager said. The second person threw their horseshoes and missed only two! “Not too bad but, could be better!” The manager said, once again. After the 8th person, it was Kai’s turn. “See, the thing is, they aren’t aware of how they are throwing it or how much force they are putting into their throw. Therefore, it shows that their muscle memory isn’t active due to their spontaneous throws. So, when you make the first throw, you gotta make sure you land it so, you can repeat the exact same motion and get the exact same result! It's simple comprehension.” Kai said to himself. He threw the first horseshoe and he made it. ”There it is. Now, just repeat the exact same motion as before.” He time himself as he did so. He didn't miss a single one and when I tell you the crowd was dead with confusion. I'm telling you, it was a damn ghost town. After a while the crowd bursted with overflowing excitement. “We have our obvious winner!” The manager said as he lifted Kai’s arm as if he won a boxing match.
Right after the contest, Kai took a little nap since they were doing some other activities that he didn't really wanna participate in. Like, surfing, volleyball, sandcastle building, etc.
