Personality: Nova can be summed up in one word: carefree. The young mage doesn’t see life as anything serious and as such, doesn’t take anything seriously. She does what she wants, when she wants, how she wants. She is capable of doing what she is told…it just usually takes a little coercion. She is a good listener, just don’t expect her to come up with any answers to your problems. She is usually uneasy around men at first, thanks to her rough relationship with her father. However once she gets closer to the male in question she drops her guard significantly, returning to her usual happy demeanour. Nova is very loose with her money and possessions, not attaching much value to material belongings. This is a further rebellion against her father and the importance he placed on status and wealth. She prefers to use her money to throw parties for her friends and guildmates.
Nova values her friendships above anything else, and is willing to do anything in her power to help a friend in trouble. She is fiercely loyal to those she partners with, not only on jobs but during day to day life as well. Her relationships are varied in intensity but all are equal in her mind. Nova is usually calm and relaxed but threats against her friends can push over the edge. While this can occasionally result in her going into a berserker rage, more often than not it renders her catatonic as she breaks down over her inability to protect her friends.
In conversation Nova expresses the same vigour and vehemence her image portrays. Intimidation is a weapon she wields even more than her magic, and often at the same time. She has a knack for speeches and is every bit as violent with her words as she is with her hands. Charismatic and a leader by nature, she often finds herself at odds with authority figures. Coupled with her vocal and opinionated views, she is often in confrontational situations. She doesn't loathe the conflict.
She can be obsessive at times and single-minded in her actions, and ultimately believes her own council to be the only council. Mistakes are made but rarely admitted to. This may be to compensate for the self-doubt she harbours and the deep fear of failure rooted in the deaths of her first team, feelings which she finds himself faced with more and more as she brushes with death.
In a fight, Nova tends to be very tactical, weighing out the options before committing herself to a plan of attack. She is very quiet during battle, not seeing the point in resorting to name calling or pointless posing and gesturing, save for trying to intimidate her opponent before the fight begins. She keeps all of her focus on the matter, fighting calmly, with a certain level of emotional detachment. The exception to this is when her friends or guild are put in the path of danger, at which point she fights like a woman possessed, heedless of the personal danger.
Likes:
-Jazz - Nova has a deep love of jazz music and usually has a recording playing in her office. She regularly attends concerts and shows and even sings a little herself.
-Vodka - Although she is not a heavy drinker, Nova really enjoys the taste of vodka. She keeps a small flask of it on her at all times, just for emergencies.
-Kittens - Despite being allergic to cats, Nova finds them to be rather cute. Since she is unable to one of her own, she tends to go out of her way to care for any strays she happens upon.
-Blue Roses - Nova has a weakness for blue roses and something of an addiction to them. She usually has a vase or two of them at her house.
Dislikes:
-Tomatoes - Nova hates everything about them, the taste, the smell, even the texture. She refuses to eat anything that contains tomatoes.
-Her father - Nova never enjoyed a good relationship with her father. From an early age he used his money to shape and control her life. At 16, she ran away from home, vowing to make her own way in the world. Everything she has, she earned through hard work and determination, just to show her father that she didn't need his money to live.
-The magic council - As Guild Master for Lamia Scale, Nova and the Magic Council have never seen eye to eye. While the guild isn't as destructive as some of the other guilds, their less than reputable activities have earned them numerous warnings and fines. Nova dislikes the bureaucracy and old fashioned ways of the magic council.
Motivations:
-Money - At the heart of it, Nova seeks money. Not that she would ever admit it, but she is very much her father's daughter. Her desire to prove herself to be better than him has manifested in a relentless pursuit of money. She has vowed to become richer than her father, just to show him that she never needed him.
-Loyalty - Nova's loyalty to Lamia Scale is one of her few universal absolutes. She is unflinching in her desire to improve the guild and see it raised high in the eyes of Fiore. Although she sometimes uses shady practices, pretty much everything she does is for the good of the guild.
-Power - Growing up in a situation where all of her decisions were made for her, Nova lusts after power and control. Granted, this is mainly over her own life, but she loves the feeling of being in control. She dislikes having to answer to others, which is part of the reason she clashes so frequently with the Magic Council.
Fears:
-Homophobia - Nova has a terrible fear of monotony and goes out of her way to avoid being stuck in the same situation. She is constantly updating and changing the design of the Lamia Scale guild hall and often takes vacations to new locations or takes jobs that are located far away.
-Triskaidekaphobia - A totally irrational fear, Nova avoids all things associated with number 13. She takes great care to make sure that it never shows up in Lamia Scale and has even refused jobs because they included the number 13
-Being alone - Despite everything, Nova has a fear of being alone. She has trouble believing that people will stick around and gets very depressed if people she is close to leave her life. She tends to jump into romantic relationships very quickly and usually ends up ruining them by being to intense because she, ironically, doesn't want to lose the person.

Appearance:
Nova is just shy of 5'2", slender, and weighs around 100 pounds. Area's like her stomach, arms, and legs has slight definition to them, but not so much to be considered muscular. She has long, silky dark purple hair that stops right above her waist. Her hair is usually pulled back into a long braid, but on occasion she will wear it loose. Her eyes are a rich sapphire blue that seem to have a slight swirl pattern. Her skin tone is right in between pale and coppery, often thought to be a mild tan.
She has a few scars that are scattered about, but they are usually covered up by her clothes. Their locations are: left shoulder, right ribcage, mid torso, left leg just below the knee, upper and lower back. Her attire consists of simple clothing. Mostly brown trousers, black boots, a white shirt, and a brown duster.
