Personality:
Skylar can be accurately described with one simple word: tempestuous. On most days, he is calm and somewhat remote, preferring to keep to himself and stay quiet. Other times, he can show a rare temper, becoming stormy and almost violent. He is quick to change back and forth, like a sudden storm rolling in and rolling out as fast as it came. When around those he deems friends, he makes an effort to control his temper, so as not to hurt or scare them. On rare occasions, he can show a smile and a sense of humor, like the sun coming out from behind the clouds. It happens most when around those he genuinely likes.
Inside combat, he shows the fury of a storm, fighting fiercely to destroy his enemies. Despite his intensity, he is a clever combatant, seeking to take advantage of weaknesses instead of recklessly battering away at his opponent. He prefers to end the fight as quickly as possible rather than prolong it needlessly. When fighting alongside allies, he prefers to leave them to their own devices, trusting them to be able to take care of themselves. If they need to be supported, he will do so, but only as long as his aid is needed.
Under a commander, he is most often a loyal follower, but can experience outbursts of rebelliousness, particularly when he disagrees with an order. If he feels an order is unjust, he will refuse to follow it, regardless of who it came from. He would cast his defiance into the teeth of gods themselves if he felt it was necessary.
As a leader, he prefers to allow his subordinates make there own decisions, as he has no experience with leadership and would rather have them lead themselves. If he felt it was necessary, however, he would step in and see that his subordinates did what was right. He would never issue an order that would compromise his morals, such as they are.

Likes:

• Storms. He regards storms as the earth's cleansing mechanism, and enjoys experiencing their righteous fury.
  
• The cold. Being cold is preferable to being hot.
  
• Flying. Taking off into the vast, lonely sky and feeling the wind against his face brings him joy like nothing else.
  

Dislikes:

• Clear weather. Clear days are boring.
  
• Dry heat. Dry heat irritates him.
  
• Being underground or in enclosed spaces. He prefers to see the sky and feel the breeze.
  

Motivations:

• Travel. He wants to see the whole world.
  
• Doing justice. The belief of doing what is right, and sometimes what is necessary, was instilled in him from a young age by his father, a famous and powerful mage.
  
• Becoming a legendary wizard. He seeks to live up to his father's reputation.
  

Fears:

• Being imprisoned underground. The loss of his freedom is something that deeply disturbs him to think about, especially if he couldn't see the sky.
  
• Losing his powers. His powers are deeply tied with his sense of self and his sense of freedom, and losing them would be akin to losing an arm in his mind.
  
• Falling. He has had the ability to fly for as long as he could remember, and the idea of falling without being able to catch himself terrifies him.
