✺ stored deep under the mountain caves of the phoenix ranges resided a small rocky grotto which was sealed with sigils- not allowing access to anyone other than those that bear the slayer magic of bethel, this was to store a shrine accompanied by a weapon wielded by an ancestor of the st. denis family which trained under the earth dragon. however, with the removal of this glistening golden weapon came a magical note- there were thirty-two other shrines like this one hidden deep underground, also only able to be accessed by those wielding earth dragon slayer magic. cordelia accepted this to be a way to potentially get closer to the dragon that shed the lacrima that gave her the magical abilities that she possessed; perhaps bethel would finally show herself after all 33 artifacts are collected, but only time would tell. ✺
✺ known as the grit of the shrines, halcyon is a golden spear with an extremely elongated shaft and a pomegranate-colored gemstone base amongst its sharp blade. housing a long, magical golden chain upon the inside, it is apparent that it is able to cut through the shaft of the weapon and reform its makeup willingly into that of a whip and chain; however, it is capable of hitting extremely heavy in both forms and is capable of slicing delicate things clean off the bone, either in a close range whipping style or a slightly closer range lancer style. while not in use, it is capable of being stored in a coiled fashion upon a belt buckle, and is able to condense quite nicely while still appearing lustrous. ✺
