”Slow down! You’re running too fast! H-Hey!” The normal sounds or happy children rang about in the wintertime streets of Era. Two in particular raced down through then like bats out of hell, trying to almost race one another it seemed. To others it would look like a chase of cat and mouse and one was much more thrilled to be playing than the other. But that usually varied on the street how close one another were to it. Where one moment it seemed like they were bickering, the next they could be trying to find their way through a maze. Aaand quite frankly their first time alone in Era made them as such; lost. Between the bit of play and the seriousness of their reason to head into Era to begin with, there was a bit of a lack of mindfulness as to what was going on now.
It took some time of asking people who took them seriously about wanting to know where the Rune Knight headquarters were, but with a large amount of persistence, they had gotten the answers they needed to head to the hall. It took some time to get get even with directions as they took a moment to stop by for food. Hunger was a bitch and a half, but they were thankful enough that they still had a guardian who looked out for them. They didn’t really plan for the girls to split and head to the headquarters, but that was the point of the plan. After all, they would never have planned for them to do anything of the sort if she caught wind of it. And knowing that their guardian was a Sylph, it didn’t take them much to discern a scheme when they saw one.
The doors to the hall pushed open, following the sound of light whispers in two different tones of voice. Shutting the door behind them, they moved their way to the counter and looked up, realizing they couldn’t be seen over it for the most part. Both girls looked to one another and one leaned down while the other reached up and grabbed the counters edge. Pushing the former up, she was able to lift her other half over the counter top until she could pull herself up onto it, seating herself onto the counter. "Hi there! My sister and I were looking for someone in charge! Anyone really." The knights at the desk looked puzzled, wondering why the girl would be so bold as to say such a thing. "I don’t have time for this, you know. Maybe I should ask for a manager or something. What do you think, Saph?" The girl in red asked, looking down as a sigh could be heard from the other side of the counter. ”I don’t think that works the way you think it does. Just be nice about asking.” The other voice spoke out, taking a couple of steps back so she could see the knights and vice versa. ”Could you please get a umm... knife, please?”
"Its not a knife, silly!" The first girl spoke up, bouncing off the counter and causing a small crack in the counter top as she did so before daintily landing on her feet. "You’re thinking of a position of power! Like a genital!" An air of silence came over the room. "Wait... is that right?" She wondered, tapping her chin in thought. ”No, you mean- ...No, actually you might be right.”
