Treading upon the bumpy stone road that wound around the hilly landscape, a small cart coated in various plant and fungal life would seemingly roll down the way as if it were being pulled by nothingness- if one were to look closely at the plants, one would be able to spot a small leaf hammock holding a nature spirit, which looked extremely engrossed in their lacrima-powered gaming device. On their way to the city of Rose Garden, the Princess and her companion of royal contracts were nearing the prevalent sound of running water, which was expected with the research that Isidore had gathered of their whereabouts; they were nearing the village preceding their next stop, which was known to sit next to a giant river. Due to it being about three or four in the afternoon, Demetria found herself sleeping in from a long night of walking and searching for glowing mushrooms, bundled up in blankets inside of her traveling cart while cuddling a giant stuffed bear.

"..Isidore, how far are we from the Rose Garden~?" the healing witch would groggily mumble while sliding open a small stained-glass window in the shape of a mushroom, "good morning, too!" While navigating inside of a moving traveling cart was hard for some mages due to strange magical side effects, it was natural for the green-haired elf, being that she had been traveling alongside the nature spirit for nearly five years. It became apparent to Demetria that they were close to entering the gates of the village as the scent of fresh fish wafted into the cart, alongside the sound of commerce- slipping on a pair of brown slippers and a long, decadent cloak to match, the doors of the cart would slowly slip open and allow light to shine in, illuminating a small berth and various means of storage and decor.

Nearing what the pair thought was a temporary stop in their travels, the traveling medic cart would pull over into a small clearing of grass next to the gate of the town, coming to a complete stop. Upon stepping into the grass, the natural surroundings would appear to gain a faint glimmer of magical energy, which would barely be noticeable to the human eye; it was as if the Princess's magical energy was slowly pouring outward into her surroundings in the form of a magical mist, promoting dewdrops to form on the blades of grass as if it was sunrise. Stretching to alleviate the small ache she had felt due to magical strain, Demetria would notice that down the road it was as if people were running around piles upon piles of dirty... clothes? While strange, a similar method of washing was utilized in her hometown in a much more organized fashion, which made her feel as though nothing stood out too much about the River Village.

Pulling out a small bag that was hanging from the side of the cart, the mage of nature would pull out what appeared to be a small knit-bag full of cheese and plant-based crackers. Her first meal of the day, she would find herself drifting down into the tiny clearing of grass to sit and eat, followed in a similar movement of Isidore; there was no better way to anticipate the arrival to one's destination than stopping at one final place to refresh on the way to a city one has never been to before, especially to eat cheese!

It had been some time since Faustein's latest adventures, the first of these being the traditional annual Christmas festivities participation he always made sure to undertake as he did with all other seasonal festivities. The one he had experienced right after the Christmas festivities was one in which he had encountered a rather unusual guildmate named "Maddox" when he was drawn to her chambers by the scents of her experimentation and had assisted her with them to some degree, much to her chagrin. Since then, he had gotten back to the grind of his daily life, namely to the daily rigors and stresses of both his public persona as a professional, fully qualified physician-scientist and of course, to his eternal, one true love...his ongoing, ever-burgeoning, and endless mad science research. Consequently, he had been quite sleep deprived as of late and his genetic defect of chronic cyanosis didn't ameliorate matters either, especially since he had recently become engrossed in what would surely one of the longest series of mad science research forays of his entire career.

Naturally, this meant the usual innumerable hours, days, weeks, and months on end of being consecutively locked away deep within his lair of ultimate chaos, aka his beloved mad science research lab nestled within the dark, foreboding hallways of his guild hall, aka the Elysium guild hall in the Land of Sin. In this manner, time had marched on till present day when he was awoken by the sound of his iLac's loud message tone which was none other the "Voices of War" soundtrack from one of his most favorite games known as "Oda Nobuna's Ambition".

    Egads...who in blue blazes...

He mused silently and groggily as he arose up from beneath piles upon piles of dusty, archaic, and super esoteric looking scrolls, tomes, grimoires, and other such collections of knowledge to grope around for his iLac so he could see what the matter was that had brought him the unmistakable notification sound of a new client request. The reason he was groggy was that at some point, unbeknownst to him, he had somehow been put to sleep, magically induced of course due to one of the experiments he had been doing with mana waves spells. Thus, as he stood up, he stumbled briefly before swiping his iLac off its charging station nearby and then checked it, an act that caused his face to droop out of disappointment and then morph into one of exasperation in response to the content of the request

Really? This client wants me...for something as menial as laundry day? Bah, how irksome this is...I have half a mind to decline, but then it would be a pain to get a lecture from the guild clerks for refusing a client request...

Grumbling under his breath thusly, he slowly readied himself for the task ahead of him, albeit eith utmost reluctance for all he wanted to do was plunge right back into his studies. However, a job was a job  even if he didnt want to do it. So, he strapped on all of his equipment like his physician-scientist outfit which was enchanted to act as on par with the near best of magic armors, his smart holographic glasses which gave him great insight into everything and everyone around him when need be, his spacetime chronometer which he regularly used to shift himself to far off places, as well as a slew of other eclectic items, devices, gadgets, and the like. After all. of that was done, he activated his spacetime chronometer to shift himself directly to the destination where this client with the troublesome laundry day request was surely waiting for him. Little did he know that his day was about to get just a little more entertaining as he was soon going to meet his unexpected job partner.
