City under siege (Pain and Gon)

Pain landed on the outskirts of the small village, his mode of transportation a 10 foot tall Roc. Leaping off the bird the warrior landed on the ground which signaled for his Roc, Sora to take to the skies. Pain walked up to the village gates and stared at them for a long moment. Written in blood on the front was the sentance "Home of the Blood Pack", Pain rolled his eyes wishing for once a gang would get a real non used up name. What was wrong with the hellions, or the fists of crime? At least own up to what your doing. Pain sighed and kicked the door open dead center and strolled in.

The village was a hell zone that looked like some dragon had used it for target practice and followed by a tribe of orcs doing hop scotch on the buildings. Pain shook his head at the vulgar mistreatment of such a town and the fact they waited until it got this bad to go for help. By now the people were dug into their cozy places where it would be to their advantage in a fight. Shrugging since he had accepted the Job; Pain continued on his little walk. Up above, Sora flew around keeping a eye out for any danger which it could quickly relay to Pain with a single screech. Waking past buildings he poked his head in...so far nothing.

The sound of footsteps echoed on the vast space of Quanny Village’s sky. A man wearing a worn out leather cloak, silhouetting himself under the shade of the sun. His eyes glanced around, catching the sight of torn down buildings, rolling empty barrels and burning compartments of the village. Everything was in their worst condition. It smelled of stink and reek, probably of the staining blood on the ground and some corpses laying around in the torn down houses. Mild blows of wind flapped the silhouetted man’s hood, revealing his face. John sighed as he sees no sign of enemy, yet too much destruction had been caused. “If there were many of them, I should’ve bump into one.” Disappointed, John threw his cloak away, walking aimlessly looking for an enemy to fight with.. or a survivor to talk to.

Pain walked through the village cancelling out the smell of blood and carnage. Looking down he saw a dead body of a young woman laying in the street; sighing he leaned down and picked up the body placing it in a nearby house with it's wall torn down. Standing up he started back down the path trying to find out what had really happened here because there was no way a group of bandits could have done this. The buildings were shattered, the ground torn up, and bodies lay scattered around. The bodies alone would take a full day to clear up and that was before burial. Going back to walking down the street he began to look for those who he had come for
.
The young warrior turned down street after street but just couldn't seem to locate the inhabitants, the ones that were alive that is. Deciding to look everywhere Pain began to look down alley ways and into buildings, anything or anywhere a person could hide but still he had yet to run into anyone who was a threat. Stopping at a small body he kneeled down looking into the eyes of a young boy, a large amount of burns all over him and this kinda burn only came from mages. Turning his head he looked around wondering what kind of monster could do this to a little kid.
