The Divine Mage

Gaia was doing some little tricks within the quaint little inn and let her cards fly around. Both her tarot and astrology cards were floating around the inn. The tavern part of the inn was decorated for the season and Gaia was displaying her magic. The inn was doing a small promotion for the holiday, while the festival was going on within Ace of Spades, where some mages could come in and do at least harmless magic and have a small show going on for the patrons while they drank and ate and merrily sung about. She was wearing a red dress that had a boat neckline and long sleeves rose lace covering most of the top of the dress, and a rose pattern for the knee length, puffy skirt. Her feet had on some red heels and upon her wrist was a cute little red scarf being used as a bracelet. Her hair was pulled back into a nice little braid as her lips were painted red with lipstick. She was here to be spotted out easily and attract attention on purpose for the promotion.

She had just ended her show and let others do their thing when she heard her husband's voice. Her eyes lit up a bit and she looked over to the door and smiled brightly to him. She quickly took a sip of her cherry water and skipped over to him before he had grabbed her and kissed her after making note of the mistletoe. She giggles as their kiss ends. “So you noticed our little decoration.” She mused rather happily before she saw his eyes open a bit. “You should have some water. You still smell a little like alcohol.” She murmurs as she kisses his cheek again. As he asked about starting their date with some karaoke, her head perked up some. Date? A smile slipped upon her lips as she grabbed his hand. “Aw! I thought you were going to drag me off somewhere else~! I don’t mind doing some karaoke, but what about you?” She knew he used to be a little unsure before about singing in front of others, but if he was willing now, she was all for it! She leaned her head on his arm and hugged him happily as she walked with him to the karaoke booth.

The person running it smiled to the Ace of Sabertooth and leaned over a bit on their table. “You two care to do some karaoke?” Gaia smiles ever so sweetly as she nods. “Yes! I’m more a dancer than a singer, but hey! Lets have some fun!” She looks over to Kyran and seems to beam with joy as she gingerly pulls him to the stage and grabs a microphone before she looks at the songs listed. She wasn’t too familiar with them, but she picked one she hoped was easy on the lacrima screen that was just off to the side enough. As the music began to play, she felt herself already itching to start dancing. Then the words came on the screen. Her voice wasn’t perfect, as she didn’t practice singing, but she still tried her best, singing out;

“Just hear those sleigh bells jingling,
Ring ting tingling too
Come on, it's lovely weather
For a sleigh ride together with you~”

She was swaying from side to side as she sang to the mic and looked at her husband. The itch to dance was strong with her. But she needed to be slightly still.

She smirked to Kyran as he teased about dragging her off elsewhere later, and lightly wiggled her eyebrows up and down at him. She smiled sweetly to her husband after he assured her that he was okay with singing in front of everyone, excited to sing with him. After she started singing, Kyran held his hand out to her, and she lightly gasped at the spin he pulled her to, giggling happily as she continued to sing as her feet began to move more, tapping on the wood of the stage, making it almost seem like a clap going. The crowd began to clap in tune with her tapping, and the song.

She smiled even brighter as Kyran at least tried to dance with her, enjoying the thought of him trying to join her. She moved around him to let his more sturdier seeming movements seem on purpose, even hip bumping him a little to get him to sway his hips. She stuck her tongue out a little at the end of the song, knowing her voice crackled multiple times and that it wasn’t fit for singing at all. She was a little hyper from the dancing, happily grabbing her husband's hand and letting him pull her along as she grabbed the peppermint from a festival staff member. As Kyran asked if he could save or eat his peppermint, Gaia smiled as she held up her own. "Eat it, I got an extra.” She muses and kisses her husband's cheek.

The bespectacled mage was honestly surprised when she was dragged over to the present guessing station, and looked to Kyran. She smiled happily at him as she watched him get giddy over the presents. She tried showering him with gifts from time to time to get him used to presents, but there was something about Christmas presents that was on another level. She watched as he picked a present and shook it a bit. After a moment, she saw her husband start to shift a bit? “Uh… K-kyran?” She covered her mouth as she looked to the crowd. They were looking and seeming to enjoy themselves. A few others had grabbed some presents as well, and one of the others had snow start falling from their own personal cloud… and another was pinching their nose from a stench of their presents.

They were magic…

“Kyran… do you realize something is off about you…?” Gaia murmurs as she reaches for the back of her neck. She didn’t know what to do… and was also unaware of how long he’d be in well… this femenine form! She loved her husband, but she wasn’t sure about this. One of the staff members saw the look on her face, and quickly came over. “M-ma’am, this is only temporary, so please don’t be too alarmed.” Gaia felt her cheeks flush as she was a bit angry. This wasn’t funny to her at all! These people better hope it would wear off quickly enough. She almost forgot about the original goal of this little game with this, but she honestly didn’t care what the present was anymore. “Is it a skateboard?” She grumbled, hoping her answer without touching or anything could possibly be right.

Gaia was excited to see Kyran dancing with her on the stage, enjoying how the crowd was cheering them on, even if she was not too great of a singer, and he was not too great of a dancer. She did not care at this time. They were enjoying themselves. Kyran seemed to get close to the edge of the stage, but had quickly caught himself with a spin. That was rather impressive to the diviner. After they finished their duet, Gaia watched Kyran as he tasted the peppermint, and giggled as she held up another in her hand. “I snuck one as we were kissing under the mistletoe at the inn. I’ve heard that they’re being passed out all over the festival when we complete games and other activities. I didn’t believe it at first, but it seems to be true. And we have some tea at home with peppermint flavoring. I think I hid it in the back of my other teas for the holidays.” She muses to him with a cheeky grin on her face.

After they went to the present guessing game, and her husband shifted to more of a feminine form, Gaia covered her face a bit. Just great. Then he, or more she, spoke, her eyes grew wide as she looked at her. What…? She shook with a bit of anger as she turned towards the festival staff. “It’ll be gone in roughly a half hour! Trust me!” He tried to assure her. She was not so sure with how Kyran was acting… or if she could get through the rest of this date now. Kyran let up a scream and she covered her ears, glasses cracking a bit as she looked through them. She broke her glasses with her scream! “K-Kyran! Calm down!” Gaia says as she started to get closer to the other. She’d be her eyes if she broke her glasses further, even the spare, if they were fine. Kyran then guessed the present in the box, making Gaia realize her guess was wrong regardless. She did not care. They were done with this game since they got the peppermints for dealing with it. And now they had to deal with… well, this other problem for a while.

Kyran held her hand out to her, and she grabbed it hesitantly, letting her take her away from the activity they were currently at. “Let’s go back to the inn and talk.” She tells him as she lightly tugs her towards the Red Dragon Inn. She was blushing a bit, both from the embarrassment of the ‘prank’, and from anger from it as well. “Roughly a whole half hour…” She groans as she put her hand to her face, pinching the bridge of her nose. She then ripped off her glasses, looking at the crack that was on the lens. “I gotta order new glasses…” Technically her glasses were special ordered as she had magic imbued into them to let her read fast. She had the money to buy the Gale glasses with her prescription in them that she wanted, but it took time to get them made properly. She would have to use her spare glasses in the meantime that didn’t have the lacrima imbued into them, if they were crack free at least. She reached into her little purse and pulled out a cloth glasses case. She slipped out a similar blue pair of glasses that didn’t have the gale force markings on them. Luckily, the cloth and her purse kept the glasses safe and they didn’t have a crack on the lens as well. She then put them on her face while putting her gale force glasses in the cloth glasses case to be able to deal with them later.

“K-Kyran?” She finally looked toward him as she had a small frown on her lips. “Are you alright?” She was not sure what she should do. She stepped closer to her and gave her a hug, if anything, to keep herself from running away from the woman that was her husband right then. She wasn’t too comfortable with this situation. “I kinda want to eat. Hopefully by the time we’re done eating… it’ll have worn off… what do you think?” She questions the other quietly. “You look similar to Masha right now.” She snorts a bit. That was ironic to her. She missed her sister in law now. She messaged her from time to time through the news feed of lacbook, but they were not able to talk in general with one another. “When was the last time we saw Masha? She hasn’t met Bel and Ducarius, has she? Let alone Adalinda’s kids.” She takes a deep breath as she closed her eyes. She turned her attention back to Kyran. “This settles it, we’re going on a month long vacation to introduce the kids to your sister!” She tells her husband.
