Name:
Archmage’s Dragonsbane
Grade:
Artifact
Type:
Weapon
Proof of Purchase:
Link
Description:
This peculiar staff is shaped like a dragon with feathery wings. Its blue color, pose, and long tail seems unthreatening, almost peaceful, but it hides a terrible power. It acts as a key to the locked door between Earthland and a similar but mysterious world with its own rules and problems. In truth, the staff is not from this dimension and actually belongs to a Wizard aiming to take over not only his own world but other worlds only reachable through portals. Many of this staff were produced, but it’s unclear how they ended up in Earthland. Was this perhaps part of his plan all along?
Abilities:
Name: Otherworld
Rank: User Rank (Up to A)
Category: Auxiliary
Type: Area of Effect
Duration: 1
Description: By jamming the tip of the dragon’s tail into the ground, the user opens a portal beneath the feet of all within range. Looking down appears as if you’re looking through a window into another world, and in a sense, that’s exactly what’s happening. Instead of some beast being summoned forth from the portal to attack, those standing on the thin veil between Earthland and the strange place beyond are pulled inside. The world of Purisianta lies beyond. It’s a world filled to the brim with dragons and knights, a dimension lost to time and progress. Magic works a bit differently here, though the effects seem to be random ranging from element inversion to negating it altogether. All technology ceases to exist. The only dragon slayers in Purisianta are those who ram a sword through one’s heart, which happens often as the war between magical beast and kingdoms of man rage. The amount of time spent there is up to the user, as repeating the action with the staff to reopen the portal is the only way to return to Earthland [The user must have OOC permission to use this ability on a player character, a player-owned NPC, or an Event NPC as well as associated magics belonging to those mentioned].
Name: Invasion
Rank: User Rank (Up to S)
Category: Offensive
Type: Multi Target
Duration: User Rank Max
Description: The user waves the staff overhead, opening a small portal overhead that once more serves as a window between worlds. Unlike the other spell this staff contains that moves the user and those caught between worlds, this one brings other beasts and people to the user. Should the user be in Earthland, dragons come out of the portal to fight in the user’s stead, as well as armies of armored knights armed with swords, shields, and bows with flaming arrows. Sometimes wizards come in their pointy hats and robes, reading from books or waving their own staffs to cast generic spells of damaging force onto enemies. If the user is in Purisianta when this spell is used, people and beasts from Earthland are likewise pulled through to aid the user in battle against their enemies, placed under the user’s command by the magic held within the staff [The user must have OOC permission to use this ability on a player character, a player-owned NPC, or an Event NPC as well as associated magics belonging to those mentioned].
