Riia had been in the human world for only a few days now and she was already getting bored. Of course, it wasn't anyone else's problem how the fairy was doing- but she couldn't help but feel like it was just the fault of humanity for not really doing anything interesting most of the time. From what she could tell, here in Oak Town, they just went to work every day, in various fashions. That or school, or ran errands or some type of busy work. There wasn't much else going on... so the fairy decided that she should just throw a party! It couldn't be something too crazy, or else some mean uppity uppity might come and try to shut down the fun. But maybe just a small fair, with pretty rides and lots of yummy delicious food? Riia had spent the afternoon brainstorming and testing out what was possible with the help of magic.
As life would have it, she discovered it was entirely possible to create a ferris wheel out of hardened sugar and power it with even more sugar. The perfect cycle! And in addition, she had created a miniature roller coaster that was definitely not up to safety standards, but, there were fluffy nets on the ground underneath (made of cotton candy) just in case any accidents happened! So everything was safe, and Riia was psyched. She had put together a food truck using a stolen vanshh, don't tell and the menu consisted of cotton candy in all different types of colors and flavors. She had the whole rainbow! Furthermore, for those people who wanted actual legit real food, the fairy had managed to scrounge up by nicking them a boat load of other nice unhealthy snacks, like funnel cake, corn dogs, and even deep fried oreos. Humans were so weird! But they were surprisingly good.
All around Oak Town and in cities a few over and around, Riia had taken advantage of her super demon speed to post up flyers for the fair, emphasizing that there was free cotton candy and admission! Now all that remained was to see if people would come. And if nobody did, well, maybe she would have to do some enchanting... that person over there looked like they subconsciously needed a break! "Hi! Want some cotton candy? My advice is sugar solves lots of problems, that's what I think," she winked at the stranger, holding out a thinly twisted cardboard stick that had an enormous puff of pink and blue candy floss wrapped around the top. Unsolicited advice or not, she hoped they would be interested! The fairy might have added a little bit of magical charm just to make it all the more convincing.
