Description:
John performs a slashing move towards the enemy at a distant, forming a beam wave, crescent-shaped. The slash beam will then travel towards the enemy, and explodes upon contact. It travels at the speed of 4 km/h, and the blast radius is 1 metres. Also, its maximum reach is 4 metres. If hit, it may cause bleeding at the hit body part for D-ranked mages, and cuts can also be prominent.
Strengths:
- Out of the ordinary characteristic of a sword type weapon, this ability enables the katana to attack from a distance, rather than having to rely often on short ranged clashing combats.
- This ability causes both slicing and exploding, thus making it a dangerous attack to be hit by.
Weaknesses:
-The ability will only cause minor injuries to C-ranked enemies, while causing nothing to mages B-ranked and above.
- The slash beam may be cut in half by opponents C-ranked and higher, and can also be deflected by enemies C-ranked and above.

Description:
The ability is a form of illusion, which works only when John is wielding the Kyou Habizamaru. While having the ability activated, John may appear to stay in front of the enemy like normal, interacting, moving and such. But when attacked, it will be revealed that it was the fake John, while the real John may reappear around the enemy for a counterattack, while the clone disintegrates. John may reappear in a radius of 2 metres from where his clone stood before it disintegrates.
Strengths:
- This ability helps John in escaping dire situation, or when facing desperate times.
- The ability gives John the chance to perform a counterattack to the enemy.
- John may reappear somewhere in a radius of 2 metres from the last spot where his clone stood, and that he may reappear on any side of the enemy.
Weaknesses:
- This illusion only works on D-ranked mages that had never touched the Kyou Habizamaru on any part of it.
- A mage C-ranked and above may see through the illusion, regardless even if he/she had never touched the Kyou Habizamaru.
- As he may reappear anywhere in set parameters, John may never stay disappearing, as this ability is for exact purpose of counterattacking only.
