"In the best case, we find a way to banish Zupazu for good and keep him banished even if he gets a new batch of cultists after we finish beating up the current group. In the worst case we buy the world a hundred years to get ready for his return. Either way we're going to take the fight to his cult and do what we can to stop him before it's too late." Victoria said to Brianna. The former was not exactly certain that the Order would be able to find the right ritual because from what she had seen in Sombras Manor banishing demonic items took a lot of time, effort, and the right ritual. Permanently banishing demons promised to be a lot harder than banishing a book of demonic pacts, partially because demons could fight back and possibly summon other demons to aid them in the struggle to remain free.
"You're right, Brianna. We'll have to be vigilant because demons are persistent. They'll be on the lookout for new people to tempt into following them and there's no shortage of them. Whether it's a rich dilettante dabbling in arcane sorcery or a down-and-just-about-out poor person, there's plenty of potential cultists out there." Victoria agreed with Brianna's statement that they and the Order would need to remain vigilant in order to keep Zupazu's influence in check until they could find a way to deal with him permanently. The brunette's statement about potential cultists being drawn from every social class got her to thinking about her own situation and how when she was down and just about out she would have been vulnerable to the siren call of anyone promising her food, shelter, and power.
Victoria was not sure how to deal with potential cultists. She was not of the mindset that going in and punching them until they surrendered was the right thing to do because they had not committed a crime yet. The thought of her beating down someone who was in the same place she had once been was one that did not sit well with her. Even though she now had power to rival Wizard Saints and more money than she knew what to do with, she was still a street kid at heart and wanted to avoid beating up people who were down on their luck if she could help it. Even though she disliked how the rich people of Capital Crocus had treated her, Victoria was not going to attack them for no reason.
When Brianna brought up Minerva the brunette laughed a bit.
"I'll admit that she was hard to get along with at first. She was determined to prove that she was the best and that she didn't need anyone to help her rescue her younger sister from vampires. She considered me a bumbling amateur with more firepower than sense. It also didn't help that I almost hit her with a Beam Cannon spell while she was jumping over Bull Demons before killing them, but that was an accident on my part and she had some right to get pissed. However, Minerva isn't all bad." Victoria laid out how Minerva could be prickly before going on to say that the Order Knight had good points to balance the bad ones.
"Once you get past the prickly part of her personality Minerva's a pretty good person. She really hates demons, so you don't have to worry about her being lured into temptation by their honeyed words and false promises. She's also really handy in a fight... if you can tolerate the occasional boasting she'll show that she can back up her boasting and then some. If you manage to earn her respect she'll be loyal to you until the end." Victoria touted some of Minerva's most prominent good points to balance out the bad points mentioned earlier. While Victoria and Minerva got off to a rocky start due to a difference in personalities and the potential friendly fire incident, it all worked out in the end once Serena had been rescued from Henry Capella. If they were not best friends, then the Order Knight and the Sabertooth mage were at least on speaking terms.
