Personality: Despite his imposing size and a lineage that bodes ill, you would be hard pressed to find a less jovial individual than Damian. Practically beaming with excitement and energy any time he isn't deeply engrossed in thought and study, many find his smile disarming and infectious. He approaches all forms of problems with almost disturbing lack of self preservation or fear. His keen mind and intense curiosity rule most of his actions, and can often lead to him getting unnecessarily injured or invading others personal space. He doesn't usually register the fact he does this unless it's addressed directly, but he is more than aware that it can make others uncomfortable and apologizes if he realizes he has done such.  He may be a thick sort of guy, but he is never purposefully out to make anyone hurt or uncomfortable.

Studious and adventurous, Damian is willing to take on any myriad of dangerous or menial tasks if it offers him a chance to learn or experience new and interesting things. However, what he considers interesting tends to intimidate or scare others. From insects to blood to monsters and the night itself, he tends to get excited about oddly eerie things. As such, he doesn't tend to judge others for their "odd" or "eccentric" interests. In fact, he is quite supportive when he sees others engage in their passions, as long as it doesn't cause others pain or misery. He can't grasp the concept of willingly going out of your way to hurt others outside of self defense. As such, he generally seeks non violent conclusions to conflict when it arises. When pushed into a situation where he must fight another person or creature, his intent is generally to debilitate and incapacitate the one in question rather than outright harm them.

Likes:
- Bugs: Spiders and scorpions and beetles and butterflies and cicadas and [fifteen to twenty more minutes of bug listing]
- Night time: Damian finds it peaceful and comforting to be surrounded by cool air and shadows. The fact that many insects become more active at night doesn't hurt.
- Horror stories: All kinds of frightening and horrific stories utterly fascinates Damian.
- Decadent sweets: The fact he isn't significantly fatter is thanks to his sweet, and hopefully not fleeting, metabolism.

Dislikes:
- Sadism: The concept of going out of your way to hurt others and derive pleasure from it....really doesn't sit well with him. His passion for life and curiosity directly opposes it.
- Hot weather: Despite, or perhaps because, of his growing up in Desierto he has a less than pleasant relationship with intense heat. It is a small contributing factor to his relocation.
- Sour foods: They hurt his jaw. He doesn't get the appeal.

Motivations:
- Curiosity: Much and more of Damian's motivations come from simply a passion for learning and experiencing. He doesn't see the need to have any more reason than that usually.
- Spreading the good word of BUG: He wants to, through his relatively newfound magic power, highlight the coolness of them to the world at large. Surely a cool Bug wizard would make bugs themselves seem cool, right?
- Money: To a much lesser degree than the other two, but not to so small a degree as to be overlooked. Growing up rather poor and seeing the pain and strife it caused has left a strong distaste for poverty in his mouth. He strives to at least live and help others live comfortably as long as he can.

Fears:
- Being unable to pursue his curiosities
- Failing to spread the good word about bugs
- Becoming poverty stricken once more
