Two gold eyes looked towards the bright noon sky, shimmering with obvious excitement, full of life and anticipation for the fate that the future had in store. Freya Akerley, now calling herself "Taylor", following the suggestion of an acquaintance to use an alias to evade the attention of her family, she wouldn't want to take any chances, after all, had come to Magnolia, exiting the train station and merrily walking along down the road towards her intended target. A certain place she had heard of, also from said acquaintance. The girl thought about the brief time they'd spent together. No, she would call the blonde man named Alphonse a friend. Even if he didn't, wouldn't realize it, he had had a bigger impact on Taylor's life than he'd thought. He was probably already on his way home to Ca-Elum ... no, he had probably already returned and reunited with his family. Taylor wondered what his kids were like. He had told her of them, a girl and a boy. To think that all of this would happen in just a few days, perhaps little more than a week, when the last 18 years of her life had been so bland and boring. No more of that. As much as she enjoyed books, as much as theory was an integral part of earning knowledge, the practical was that much more exciting. She wanted to go out, she wanted to see and experience the world first-hand ... and being a guild mage would make her dream come true!
She couldn't begin to imagine the things she could learn at this guild, and the things she would learn as a guild mage. She had read about the guild culture, especially here in Fiore, which was why this nation had been her destination originally, though the more she had learned, naturally, the more curious she had become. Of course, her parents would've never allowed her to leave Bellum and join a guild in an entirely different country altogether, though her parents weren't here now, were they? She'd make sure that it would stay that way. The last thing she needed, and, as she was certain, the last thing Fiore needed was angered Bellumian nobles. Anyway, this wasn't what kept Freya's, or rather, Taylor's mind busy at the moment. Each step would carry her closer to the guild hall, and the closer she got, the more intense she could feel her excitement become, her heart happily pounding with joyous hope, the sword at her hip moving slightly with each step. She was so, so very close, the sign coming into view. The sign that read "Fairy Tail" sat atop a set of double doors of solid oak, which, in turn, were framed by a large brick building that, upon first glance, resembled more of an office building than a guild hall. She would stop briefly before the structure, her glowing eyes, shining in a particularly eccentric golden hue, staring up. So, this was it? Taylor took a deep breath and focussed inward. She could do this! This was everything she'd ever wanted. Now she just had to take a step forward and take matters into her own hands.
"Here goes nothing ...", the girl would whisper before pushing open the doors and stepping inside, immediately beginning to observe and take in her surroundings with attentive, but astonished gaze. The guild hall seemed a lot more impressive from the inside than it was from the outside, her eyes wandering around as she stood there, frozen by awe for more than just a few passing moments. Was this where she would work in the future? Only time would tell. The last thing she had to do now was, well, actually joining this organization called Fairy Tail, though, it was only now that Taylor noticed that she didn't actually know how. Would she have to talk to someone? Was there a test of some kind? She hadn't studied or prepared any answers. Maybe they'd want to see her prowess as a mage? That seemed plausible. They were a mage's guild, after all. So, she would remain there for a few seconds, thinking silently, wondering, though, a pleased smile on her face. She was so close now.
