- Personality:
Reynard, hereafter referred to as R, is the youngest of a clan descended from the joining of the Kitsune and Coyote clans of trickster spirit and as such, he shares many of the personality traits common to both. R is generally fun-loving and easily excitable. Prone to mischief and incredibly clever when given any chance to exert his influence on a given situation. When crossed, he is truly a terror to behold as those of his kind are very near-mythical in their ability to make someone rue the fact that they were brought into the world. R is every bit as good to his friends as he is bad to his enemies, often undermining their rivals and those who would do them harm purely out of a need to see a momentary smile exchanged.
Combat. Probably the most frightening place for a trickster to exist as opportunities to use their cleverness and intellect are never lacking and while death is in no way assured for their foes, regret very much is. R is very much a student of people in general and uses this mercilessly against anyone he deems threatening to his goals or way of life. While not the most physically threatening or martially trained, he can be quite a handful when cornered or forced into a situation where hand to hand is the only option.
Despite his clear intelligence, R is really not suited to leading entirely because he can become far too occupied with seeing to it that his foes are having a bad day. On that same note however, when lead properly with vision, R can be a major asset to a group or team. A specialist type role with limited supervision tends to work best with those of his kind. Just enough oversight to make sure that everything doesn't go overboard and end in mutual disaster for everyone. Working alone, R shines. Intellect, bravery, and a willingness to put one's self into dire harm are hallmarks of his clan and how he approaches combat in general.
- Likes:
-Pranks:The poleaxed look of surprise on someone's face when their underwear is filled
with fire ants or they run head first into a wall that seemed just a moment ago to be a
hallway is priceless and makes the world seem right.
-Attention:The very nature of tricksters lends itself to being preening little popinjays. After
all, what good is a prank if it never gets noticed?
-Foul Language:R just finds cursing and bad language inordinately funny to hear. No other
real reason.
- Dislikes:
-Sweets:R just never developed a taste for sweet things and usually prefers meat dishes.
-Wolves:The Riversong family line has had a long standing problem with wolves and their
ilk and this has carried over to the youngest son of the line.
-Hen Houses:Cracks about foxes in hen houses are stupid. Besides, chickens should roam
freely where they are easy to catch and be eaten.
- Motivations:
-Lack of Seriousness:The world is filled with way too much seriousness. It needs to lighten
up and see all the fun to be had.
-Rid the world of Wolves and Snakes:Both of these vile creatures need to be dealt with.
Now if he can just find a way to cast all of both into the same dimesion to fight it out for all
eternity...that would be truly funny.
-Find the Joke:Somewhere out there is a prank/joke that will cause anyone who sees it or
hears it to laugh. It must be found.
- Fears:
-Aphenphosmphobia:Due in large part to his feminine appearance and sometimes fox-like
traits during his early life causing people to be handsy, R hates to be touched and will
generally react very poorly to those who try. Usually results in hurting someone or pranking
them in a particularly malicious manner.
-Coulrophobia:Clowns are the opposite of funny and their very existence is blasphemy to a
trickster.
-Ophidiophobia: Probably something to due with his ancestry. R just does not get along
well with snakes.
